Good experience with Private Tour

I arranged 2 activities: a private overnight tour in the Lake Navashia area and a Nairobi National Park 1/2 safari with Perfect Wilderness. I was very nervous working with a company over the internet, but the staff were extremely responsive and helpful, making adjustments to itinerary, hotel, and inclusions (food). I paid in advance through an online system, which was seamless.

For the 2 day tour, we were picked up at our hotel by driver/guide Jimmy. Jimmy was amazing! Throughout the 2 days he made everything happen that we were planning to do, got us the best guides/boat operators, and made sure we were happy and safe. He even showed up with a full pallet of water on the second day, when we weren't sure where we would get water. His experience as a safari guide was helpful, especially during our Crater Lake tour where he provided interesting information on the animals, and his driving skills are top notch - we couldn't believe how well he navigated the Toyota Voxy over rough terrain.

For the Nairobi National Park tour, we were also picked up early (6am) at our hotel, but had a different driver. The pop-top safari vehicle was quite old, and probably needed some work as we could smell fumes when the top was down. The seatbelts also didn't work well, and overall the vehicle was pretty worn. Although our driver was excellent at navigating over the rough roads, and made sure we saw the lions and rhinos (the drivers are on the radio constantly, talking to each other about sightings), he didn't offer too much in the way of information about the park or wildlife. In fact (nothing to do with Perfect Wilderness), we saw very few animals during our 3.5 hr excursion. As we left, it seemed the animals were just waking up, and I wished we had done a tour a bit later in the day. Also, I thought there were just too many vehicles clustered around the lions and that the park should do a better job with enforcing viewing guidelines.

Overall, we had a positive experience on all three days and I can definitely recommend Perfect Wilderness. Everything was exactly as promised.

Hello Sunny Thank you very much for this awesome review on our company .We are really happy that you booked not only one but 2 tours with us this is amazing .We are very glad that the first tour was absolutley convenient with jimmy as your driver and guide .The Voxy vehicle is very comfortable and can hundle the roads for that specific tour that is why we interchanged the driver at the park ,We are aware the car was a bit old but most of our vehicles were already booked for other safaris ,otherwise about the driver he is surely one of our best and usually ensures one gets an opportunity to see most animals that is why he used the radios to communicate with other drivers but about him not talking about our company we have explained to him and he will rectify for next time .Otherwise and most importantly you were part of this amazing days we thank you for your cooperation and your understanding . We also hope you will visit us again . Karibu tena !!!!!!! which means welcome back again and again . Thank you

Safe, Responsive, and Wonderful!

I wrote back and forth to Perfect Wilderness prior to my trip with many questions. They were always very responsive and accommodating. I spoke with Joy and Margaret and then Betty. After putting together an itinerary, I fractured my foot and Betty was very helpful in making adjustments to the itinerary to ensure I could do all the activities.
Our amazing guide was Dennis. He was so informative, punctual, friendly, and just really enjoyable to spend two days with. He safely drove us from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru and took us on a game drive there. The next day he took us on a bike tour through Hell's Gate and then brought us to our tour at Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island. At Hell's Gate the bike was a bit too big for me and he quickly was able to secure a better bike for me, which made all the difference. He did a great job of identifying the less obvious animals, like small birds and was just all-around knowledgeable and great! Highly recommend!

We booked this last minute (and I mean the day before arrival in Kenya). We had a day tour of Nairobi including trip to the giraffe centre and then a 4 day safari form Nairobi to amboseli, travelling west, east and down to Diani.

Communication from George was excellent throughout our negotiation, booking and safari and the prices were fairer than many other quotes. We had two drivers for our day trip in Nairobi (Sammy) and our 4 day safari (Nathan). Both were excellent.

Nathan was excellent at spotting the animals and had exceptional knowledge of the routes in the parks. He was friendly, patient and very helpful throughout. We would highly recommend him.

Thanks for a great few days.

Amboseli National park, Tsavo East and West is a must visit destination with variety of offerings such as the herds of elephants, the wild cats among others. Best tour company in Nairobi

I don’t think I could’ve had more than an amazing experience. All of my tour guides were very resourceful, friendly, great drivers, gave wonderful conversation, and gave great hospitality. George the CEO of perfect wilderness safari tours picked me up from the airport and made sure that I had a perfect itinerary while staying in Kenya. He exceeded by going above and I bought beyond my expectations. Joel who my 5 year old daughter really got attached to, we spent three days in Masai Mara. The 5 Hour drive felt like two hours because of the wonderful conversations that we encountered. Jimmy who took us line to the national Nairobi park to the Giraffe center was wonderful as well.

Once in a lifetime Kenya trip with Perfect Wilderness

My boyfriend and I just got back from a 7-day trip to Kenya through Perfect Wilderness to visit Giraffe Manor, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Maasai Mara. We had an amazing time! The entire trip was very well organized by our tour consultant, Everline. She prepared us weeks in advance for our trip to make sure we were ready and had our entry requirements for covid, as well as what to expect while there. Our guide on-site, Sammy was very informative, funny, and made every moment of the trip memorable.

Thank you to all for making our trip the great experience that it was. This truly was a once in a lifetime experience and I would highly recommend the use of Perfect Wilderness to anyone looking to visit Kenya.

Stunning two weeks trip in Kenya

I cannot recommend this company enough. From the first exchange of e-mails it transpires how they want to ensure that you have an amazing experience. They follow you through your journey and are available at any point in case you need assistance. I dealt especially with Everline who was truly great at accommodating my ten thousands requests and change of plans but the whole team seem really professional. I would not hesitate to book another trip with them!

Super reliable and efficent

My family and I went on a 14-days-customized private safari from Nairobi and ending in Mombasa. Betty as my main contact proved to be a very efficient and reliable organizer who patiently answered all my questions and made adjustments and changes wherever necessary. Our driver and guide was Joel who I would recommend him for any safari. He is a very experienced and reliable driver as well as a great guide for game viewing. Everything he did was very attentive and efficient. He really went out of his way to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. We enjoyed his company very much and would go with him to the remotest corners of Africa. I can recommend Perfect Wilderness Tours to anybody as a very trustworthy company. It is always a bit awkward to send money ahead of one’s trip without know what to expect. In this case – you are very safe and in good hands!!!

Up close and personal with the big 5

We had two amazing drivers Kennedy and Nathan. Kennedy made sure our trip to Masai Mara was so memorable and he even managed to find the elusive leopard for us. Nathan was a star and we had so much fun in Naivasha and Samburu national park with him. The only thing of concern was that there seemed to be a bit of confusion about where we were staying as some hotels were substituted from what was on the itinerary without telling us, i think this was due to us sharing tours with people on less days than us for the first half of our trip. A quick call to George and all was sorted. We did thoroughly enjoy our tour and would use the company again. 1 suggestion. Please ensure that all drivers display a sticker for the company on the door or back of the truck as we want to make sure we are riding with the right people. Food and accomodation was lovely especially Villa Gracia in Naivasha and the awesome Samburu Sopa resort. We had a great time at the Masai run campsite too. Very clean and comfortable and food was great.

George and Perfect Wilderness made our stay in Nairobi great!

We engaged Perfect Wilderness Tours and Safaris for airport/hotel transfers and for a day in Nairobi where we visited the Sheldrick Orphange, Giraffe Manor, Bomas of Kenya, a bead factory and lunch at Carnivore.
We were met on time for all our transfers by kind and efficient drivers. George was a wonderful guide and ensured we were able to be up close with the elephants at the Sheldrick orphanage and with the giraffes. He shared lots of information about Nairobi and about his own Kenyan village. He was personable, knowledgeable and ensured we saw as much as we could in our day in Nairobi. He also was up at the crack of dawn to ensure we made our very early flight departure on time. If in the area again, I would definitely use Perfect Wilderness and would hope that George would once again be available! Thank you for making our time in Nairobi special

The best safari adventure

We did the 3 day Private Maasai Safari tour. Our tour guy Joel exceeded our expectations and so much more. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the land. I was able to get some amazing pictures that look like post card. He has so much passion and love for the animals. I learn more from him than I did at the zoo. You can tell he really love his job and it shows. Our safety was Joel number one priority. I felt safe at all time. Thank you Joel for being so patience when we was shopping . He never rush us, or told us to hurry up. He let us shop to we drop. I definitely recommend Joel as your tour guide you’ll have so much fun and learn so much with great photos to show all your friends. Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. I have so many great memories and I’ll definitely will be back!
