My family (2 adults and 2 teens)had a 3 day trip to Mara June 2022 recently organized by xplorato best family vacation ever.
Erick is very pressional and detailed. His customer service and communication skills are impeccable. We received a detailed schedule for our trip timely with 24 hrs reminders including the vehicle and the driver/ tour guide.
Our safari to Mara was as planned, the driver who was also our tour guide was friendly very knowledgeable and always on time.
Overall very satisfied customer and highly recommend the company to others and will definatly use your services for future trips. 😀

I had been planning a trip to see the great migration since 2019. I had prepared an itinerary I wanted and I was very particular about the camp accommodations I wanted to stay. Due to COVID I had postpone my trip. Finally in 2023 I decided to do in 2024. One of my friends had just visited Kenya and I asked her who she used for the trip. She gave me Eric Kagai’s contact. I contacted him and right away we connected. He was prompt in responses and understood my requirements. Meanwhile, my cousin and his wife who were visiting my husband and me at our place said they would join me and my husband on the trip. Our trip was from July 27 - August 7 covering Amboseli National Park, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park and Masai Mara Reserve. What a trip it was! Eric worked with James to get the accommodations we wanted and from start to finish it was seemless covering the 2 countries. Eric was always there to answer any questions. When we were greeted in Nairobi and got into the jeep, he had loaded it with so many snacks, Mara blankets etc. He had come in person to greet us and it was so nice to meet him after almost a year long emails and texts. I have so far been to 92 countries and have used so many travel companies. This is by far the best in customer service. This trip was one of the best we have done and will stay in our memory for ever. Anyone going to Africa should look nowhere else but contact Eric.

We had such a stress free trip to Watamu all thanks to Xplorato for their planning and coordination. The communication and feedback was always timely and very informative.
All our needs were thoughtfully catered for and research done to satisfy our queries.
I was extremely pleased with Eric's level of integrity. 🙌

I have to give kudos to Xplorato Ventures Driver guides, during our recent safari the took us to Samburu in Kenya, we were amazed the amount of wildlife we were able to see; more so in our morning game drives. Reticulated giraffes, the famous gerenuk antelopes(whose necks are longer than those of average antelopes), our driver guide give us as much info as possible. For instance, I learnt that gerenuk antelopes have muscular hind legs because they feed standing upright, stretching their necks in order to get to those leaves. As we moved on, the African Lion was quite elusive, it camouflaged in knee-high yellow brown savannah grass of the Samburu National Reserve. Any time you visit Samburu National Park with Xplorato Ventures you are guaranteed to see elephants as they quench their thirst at the Ewaso Nyiro river. If you are travelling with Xplorato Ventures, make sure you schedule morning game drives, as they provide the most excellent view of wildlife.

I was overwhelmed with emotion the first time I had a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro. I went to hike Kilimanjaro with my friends while on vacation and it was absolutely amazing. A few friends and I booked the Machame Route through Xplorato Ventures, a local tour operator, and we were largely surprised by how smooth it went. From the glacier on top, to the rain forest at the base, the climb takes you through rain forest to Mars like terrain to glacier blue and back to lush greenery.
When we finally summit the highest point in Africa(Uhuru peak), the kind of elation in everyone's eyes, was truly unforgettable. It wasn't just about completing a feat any more, it was overcoming challenges and celebrating team spirit.
My advice for anyone about to make this trek is to spend extra on a nice set of hiking boots, be a group of friends, get a headlamp and the general mountain climbing equipment.
When we finally summit the highest point in Africa(Uhuru peak), the kind of elation in everyone's eyes, was truly unforgettable. It wasn't just about completing a feat any more, it was overcoming challenges and celebrating team spirit.

I thoroughly enjoyed, the 7 days of golf and Safari courtesy of Xplorato Ventures. I have to commend there organization skills, from the time I wired the deposit to the end of the safari. During my 7 days safari we experienced some of the finest properties in Kenya: Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club, Great Rift Valley Lodge,Sarova Lionhill Game Lodge & Sarova Mara Game Camp. My safari entailed, 2 days of golf: One being an 18 - hole championship golf course and the other on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, then we had a game drive in Lake Nakuru National park, here we had a chance to see a vast majority of bird species, we finished off with the famous Masai Mara for the ultimate adventure. Next time you are traveling give them a shout. Cheers

Nothing to compare our wonderful experience...all amazed by xplorato team super excellent replies right from the minute we sent our first inquiry..Arriving in Nairobi were met by Eric the manager who took us for unexpected welcome dinner.Charles the guide was super,went beyond to make sure to see the unseen...the sundowner and bush meals surprises just made us feel masai mara will be our second each year around,

All the arrangements were perfect right from the groups Meet & Greet until the final departures. Everything went well just as planned. Special appreciation for Mr. James & the knowledgeable & lively guide Mr. Martin Waweru. He handled us with great with great dexterity and proffesionalism. He made the group comfortable & was always around catering the requirements for the group. Through his guidance we were able to spot a leopard hunting a rabbit, we spotted the tail of the leopard first, Martin the followed quietly and in a split second there was a chance. The rabbit was caught unawareness and as they say - the rest is history.
Mara Sarova Hotel in Masai Mara, the staff was friendly & had a lovely ambience. They went out of the way & made the group comfortable & would definitely recommend for the 5 star accommodations in future. In addition your timely response to all my questions & concerns while booking the group was much appreciated.
We sincerely thank the Xplorato Ventures team for tailor making the itinerary according to our needs and budget and giving us an experience of a lifetime in Masai Mara, Kenya.

We booked a 9-day holiday in Kenya with Xplorato after getting contact details from my friend who had travelled with them two years prior. The booking process was seamless and we managed to nail down the details by exchanging emails over the course of about a week. They were always very prompt to reply. Furthermore, pricing is very competitive as Xplorato is based locally, and the overall pricing was at least 20% cheaper than what I could get from a European based travel agent. I was also impressed that the hotel rates they got were even better than what I could see online at sites like booking.com. Every part of their planning was done to a very exact detail, to the point that they sent us a photo of the sign they would be using at the airport to pick us up. We set up a Whatsapp group and communication was very easy. Eric also went above and beyond to help us when our airline KLM didn't deliver one of our checked bags for 3 days. He was completely on top of the situation, trying to think of places that would be open at 8 am on Sunday to buy clothes, calling the airline and getting updates, and then driving 5 hours roundtrip to deliver it to our hotel at Lake Naivasha with KLM wouldn't deliver it out of Nairobi. We cannot thank him enough and he wouldn't even accept repayment for his journey. Our guide Tom was equally fantastic and we enjoyed every moment of our safari with him.

Xplorato helped us arrange a safari to the Masai Mara. Everything was seamlessly arranged (food, transport and accommodation). The team was professional and a pleasure to work with. David our driver was extremely knowledgeable and was great company over the 3 day safari. Eric and James provided amazing guidance whilst booking our trip and continuously checked up on us throughout our journey. I would highly recommend Eric and the Xplorato team to anyone looking to book a safari while in Kenya.
