Visiting the Maasai Mara has been on top of our bucket list, and I am so glad that I chose Africa Kenya Safaris to fulfil our long standing dream.Right from the beginning, Steve,our tour planner made me feel confident that I had chosen the right tour company. He was so patient in answering each and every one of my queries and inspite of 2 last minute flight reschedulings by the airline, he made every effort to make sure that our Maasai mara safari goes on without a hitch.
Airport and hotel transfers were all included and was planned perfectly.
The choices of accommodation that he offered were also excellent. We split our stay between Mara Serena and Ashnil mara camps. Mara Serena especially was truly incredible, with spectacular views of maasai mara. Our safari driver/guide Thomas was the highlight of our trip. His knowledge of the Maasai mara was incredible, and his enthusiasm was infectious. Even after 14 years of being a guide, he was still as excited as us while spotting animals. By the 2nd day, Thomas knew exactly what we wanted and chose the best spots for our bush breakfasts . He and Steve also helped organise great experiences like the balloon safari ,a sundowner
and a surprise birthday party back at the resort for my dad's birthday.
We spotted the Big 5 and every other animal we could hope to spot. On the day before we were to leave, Thomas heard reports that the great migration had just started and the next day, we were off early in the morning to reach the Tanzania border to see thousands of zebras crossing over from the Serengeti. It was truly a sight to behold! My parents and I are back home with wonderful memories which we will remember for the rest of our lives.

As an Austrian couple booking directly with a Kenyan company was new for us and we didn't really know which companies we could trust. Steve O., the booking agent, made booking with them very easy. He patiently answered all our questions and helped us organize our journey through several WhatsApp calls beforehand. His professional manner made us choose this company.
We went on a 8-day private safari with Africa Kenya Safaris, visiting Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara.
The included airport transfer to and from our hotel in Nairobi was timely and friendly.
Our driver/guide Moses was very fun, kind, experienced and knowledgable. We felt like we were in safe hands. Throughout our journey Moses went out of his way to make our safari as enjoyable as possible. On our first day, our DSLR camera broke and Moses took care of the problem by organizing a professional repair service and an affordable replacement rental camera, and thereby saved our day. Thank you again! 🙂
Moses was also a very good networker, so he always had the latest information on animal sightings. We got to see every animal we had hoped for and more, including the Big 5 of course.
The vehicle was a 4x4 landcruiser. It was regularly cleaned in between our game drives, had USB charging ports, wifi and was equipped with plenty of bottled drinking water. The only recommendation for improvement we can give is that it would have been nice to have two binoculars, instead of one, available in the car.
We were very happy with the accommodations we had chosen. We can definitely recommend Oltukai Lodge in Amboseli, Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge and Ashnil Mara Camp. All of them were wonderful, had good food, friendly service and clean rooms. Steve, our booking agent, checked in on us several times throughout the journey to make sure everything was fine.
We can absolutely recommend booking with this company and we will definitely come back to Kenya for another safari at some point in the future!

Jambo! What a great experience!!! I would recommend Africa Kenya Safaris for their customized safari tours, best prices, professionalism and efficiency…My tour of Nairobi National Park, Hell’s gate and Lake Naivasha was professionally planned by Africa Kenya Safaris at the best price I could get. Rama, the tour guide was on time each day, informative about the animals and Kenya in general, friendly and would go an extra mile to make the experience a great memory. Steve (at the office) was available to respond promptly anytime…Thank you, Tshima 😊

We booked several parts of our trip to Kenya through Africa Kenya Safaris including airport transfers, a 3 day safari from Diani Beach to Nairobi via Tsavo West/Amboseli, and a half day Nairobi tour. Everything went smoothly!
The team was prompt in responding to all inquiries pre and post booking. Our drivers for the 3 day safari, Hasan, and for the Nairobi tour, Francis, were both great! We loved the pop-up roof on our safari vehicle and were able to see way more animals than we expected whilst in Tsavo West and Amboseli. The lodges Africa Kenya Safaris booked for us (Kibo Safari Camp in Amboseli and Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in Tsavo West) were both top notch.
This was great value for money and I would use Africa Kenya Safaris if visiting Kenya again. Thanks team!

My family had such a memorable safari experience to Maasai Mara. We had an opportunity to see the Big Five animals during the game drive. Our Driver guide was professional plus the whole planning and execution by Humphrey is highly recommended.
Our Stay in at Sarova Mara was epic with such magical views of the Mara Plains. The Accommodation, meals and staff were really friendly.
I highly recommend Africa Kenya Safaris for their professional service and looking forward to go on another safari with them.

Our Safari Driver Guide Christopher collected us from Nairobi and took us on a 5 day safari that visited the amazing Amboseli and Masai Mara National Parks .His expertise and knowledge of Kenya were invaluable and helped us to see an abundance of wildlife with a stop at the Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and a short walking safari at the Crescent Island. We felt that our safety and comfort on Safari was always assured including being booked in nicely located Lodges and a safari camp!
Christopher shall remain in our debt forever for giving us such a wonderful and memorable holiday safari experience!

After lots of research, we chose Africa Kenya Safaris because they offered an easily customizable plan as well as a great price compared to its competitors. Correspondence was always quick and uncomplicated. Service was unbeatable from start to finish.
From the first moment our guide Price arrived, we knew it would be a great 6 days. He picked us up at 7am with a big smile and lots of confidence for the week ahead. He surpassed every expectation we had - as a guide and person to spend the next 6 days. He was top in spotting animals (we managed to see the big (& ugly) 5), educated us and answered all our questions, a great driver and very attentive (he noticed, without us saying anything, when we were interested in seeing something/taking photos and stopped to give us time). His respect for the animals and land have truly impressed us, especially after seeing how some other company guides would invade the animals' space with no shame. We ended each day with an unbelievable experience, wondering how the next day could be better, but somehow Prince always managed to do just that! We really enjoyed his cool, laid back and friendly demeanor. He was a perfect fit for us!
During our tour, we met with some other colleagues of the company (Mr. Philipp and Daniel), and they also gave us a great impression of the company. Steve and Humphrey also called and checked up on us throughout the trip to make sure our expectations were being met.
We had a great adventure that we will share for the rest of our lives. We highly recommend booking a tour with Africa Kenya Safaris. Thank you to both the company and especially Prince for an unforgettable honeymoon!

Out of all the choices I have made in my life this was probably the best ! To choose to end the year with a Kenyan safari and for which we went with African Kenya safari as our travel provider. From the very first stage of planning our trip, the owner of the agency was so prompt and kind with his responses via text.
Any questions we had about the trip, stay, travel requirements etc. were always addressed at the earliest.
Once we reached Nairobi we met our tour guide and driver Mr. Joseph. What can I say about Mr. Joseph! We spent 4 days driving from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha and then onto Maasai Mara and the time just flew by so quickly. Joseph was so friendly, well informed, always energetic and full of life. There was never a dull moment during our long drives across the towns and we genuinely felt we were being driven around by a friend we had known forever!
Both our stays at Lake naivasha crescent camp and losokwan Mara camp were splendid. The best hospitality and the best food we have experienced in a long time.
Although during our stay at Mara losokwan camp we felt the camp could have sorted out it’s payment issues with the local authorities so we would not have to miss out on a game drive near the camp but it also turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we managed to complete a scenic game drive in greater Mara on our last day.
All in all, an unforgettable experience and we cannot wait to plan another safari with Africa Kenya safaris with Joseph as our companion again !

Prince was straight up THE best guide we could have ever hoped for.
He's such a kind, attentive person and most of all he went way beyond anything we expected in our wildest dreams when it comes to our safari experience.
We went on a 6 night safari in Amboseli, Lake Naiwasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara and boy did we get an amazing safari experience.
Not even just talking about whether or not we saw the big five (we did) but the way we were able to collect those memories was insane - all thanks to Prince.
We've seen all big five and an unbelievable number of other animals and still he jumped on every opening to make our experience even more thrilling and memorable.
Quick example: The day we found the last of the big 5 (Leopard), we've had quite some highlights on just that day already. Pack of Lions feasting, Leopard, etc. Prince wasn't content with just that. When he heard over the radio that the leopard we just saw is moving across the street (which is very rare) he went exactly where the leopard would come out again a few minutes later and boy did the cat come close. Right in front of our car... And we got to see it sneak up on prey right after. Could have stayed and watched for ever if the next highlight hadn't been right around the corner.
And that's just one of many many occasions where he outdid himself. A herd of elephants surrounded us in the sunset (felt unreal and calm) when every other car seemed to have deserted the park already, we saw baby animals in all kinds like rhino, elephants, buffaloes, etc. and so on. Sure, there was some luck involved in how much we saw, but Prince did everything to make that luck come to us ;)
All in all we are just so happy and thankful having met and got to know such a wonderful person and collected unmatched memories of a lifetime.
Thanks again Prince and as we've said before: you're THE BEST!

I did a customized 5-day trip that I organized with Steve from Africa Kenya Safaris. He helped a lot prior to our trip and we exchanged many emails to determine the best route possible. I also want to mention that after making a mistake and paying an excess amount Steve was really quick to react and refund us.
For our trip, we went in Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli with our driver Moses and it was an incredible experience. Moses was always ready to adapt our schedule, he picked us up from our airbnb at the beginning and dropped us at the airport after it ended, arranging a detour to a shop where I rented a camera lens and was always making sure everything was fine. He also was a very good guide, always ready to offer us the best views of the animals, and also a very nice guy!
