We visited this place on a Saturday afternoon after a workshop we were attending in Nairobi. It was very refreshing and connecting with nature. A worth visit place in Nairobi.

We found ourselves without a reservation on Mother's Day, and quickly headed here as we had heard good reviews. The service is superb, this is true. But the food/buffet...leaves you wanting...we are picky eaters: hubby is a Chef, so we know what we talk about when it comes to food. We got there too early, the buffet was not even... More

Always a family favourite, the Karen Blixen coffee garden provides sedate food and dining. It will not light your year up, but neither will you leave feeling disappointed. It offers traditional international fare - steak and chips, chicken kiev - that sort of stuff. Not bad.

A beautiful experience having lunch with a group of friends in the beautiful gardens. The food was very nice but it was more about sitting in such a wonderful setting enjoying each other's company. There was some excitement when a resident falcon kept on swooping down and taking piece of scrap food from collected plates - only in Africa! Enjoy... More

If you are going to the Giraffe Center this is a must for lunch. The food was amazing. Some in our group got the buffet, and others ala carte. There was a local artist showing his paintings and we bought two. Can't go wrong here.

I really enjoyed my meal here. I loved the drinks on the verandah looking at the garden, after dusty Nairobi this as a treat. The restaurant has an older days feel but the food as good and well served. While you are there you can go round the side and into Karen Blixen's house as well. Since it is a... More

Worth going if lacking anything to do in Nairobi but it is not worth a lot of effort. The easiest is taking a taxi there and asking for the driver to wait - it is around $ 50 going out and back while the driver waits (30 - 60 minutes from town depending on traffic). At the museum you are... More

After a morning of visiting the elephant orphanage and the giraffe's nearby, we needed a break. The Karen Blixen Coffee Garden was just the ticket. The grounds are lovely and offer and number of shaded tables. The menu offered a variety of interesting selections and most importantly a couple of wines and Tusker. We had a long lunch and very... The coffee gardens are in beautiful surroundings and has a traditional house in the gardens. Prices were a little high but the food was worth it.
