Nice ambiance in an open, beautiful garden. The food left something to be desired. The caesar salad was very basic and overpriced. It was about $9 for lettuce and a few shavings of parmesan cheese. The burger was somewhat redeeming. Fries/ chips were very soggy. Overall value was abysmal. We paid $27 for a salad, burger, and bottle of water.

Thank you for your review. We are not certain if your complaint is the Coffee Garden Hotel Restaurant or the Tamambo Restaurant which is not managed by the Hotel. We have a new Chef and menu update at the Coffee Garden Hotel pool restaurant and serve breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. We hope you will return to our... More

We had lunch in the lovely grounds of this site. Usually there is a buffet but we were a bit early. Everything was pleasant. The staff were very attentive.

Dear Client. I assume you were at the Tamambo restaurant which is not the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Hotel which is this travel site. We would welcome you to our Pool Restaurant next time you visit. More

We decided to give the place one more try after our failed after wedding party. This time it became successful. Very nice evening under the stars in the garden.. we had 2 different choices of oyster for sharing. They offer mangrove oyster who are pretty small.. but tasty :-)

This is to let you know that you havve posted on the wrong site. The Tamambo restaurant where you had your bad experience is affiliated with the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Cottages boutique hotel. We hope you will visit our pool side restaurant for another romantic evening. More

Beautifully designed and landscaped property built around one of the grand old Karen buildings. Simple, tasteful elegance in the bungalow rooms, and a great breakfast around the pool.

Although sad due to the fact that things didn't work out too well for Karen Blixen and her husband in the area, it's very interesting to see a house/this house and the things she had. Guests are well greeted by a friendly staffer and assigned a tour guide. I enjoyed my tour and guide. I think this is a good... More

Sitting in the garden, surrounded by the art on show, sipping cocktails and eating snacks and of course a gorgeous desert. What a way to spend a sunny lunchtime in Nairobi!

A lovely place to stroll around before having lunch under one of the large umbrellas in the garden. I enjoyed watching an artist painting an elephant with a brilliant blue skyline. It is a lovely venue to relax and enjoy some time over a meal or cup of superb coffee.

Thank you for you nice review. I am pointing out that you were eating at the Tamambo which is our tenant and the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages is the boutique hotel on the property. We hope you will return and stay in the garden rooms with us! More
