We went on Safari trip to Lake Nakuru and Maasi Mara from 26 Dec 20 29th. Our experience was excellent and memorable. We were particularly impressed with the professionalism of the Tour consultant Mr. Paul Mwendwa and the Safari skills and courtesy of the driver Titus. We highly recommend Ket Safaris

Just want to say a big thank you to Paul! I was very excited, however a bit worried about my trip to Kenya. Paul was amazing from the booking process - very quick to reply, gives you advices and makes sure that you get the best deal as per your request and requirements. We always felt very safe, comfortable and taken care of. Paul was out best guide and as well amazing companion for the trip. Very respectful, friendly and professional. We saw all the possible animals, stayed in best lodges and had the best trip so far. If you are planning your trip to Kenya definitely choose Paul, this will be the best choice you can make. Thank you for everything and we will definitely meet again.

This review is long overdue but hopefully better late than never! My husband and I did an 8-day safari with KETS and we loved every minute of it. Our guide was Paul and he was wonderful. The booking process was so easy and we were able to customize our itinerary exactly how we wanted it. Paul was great about answering all our questions and was always very quick to respond. On safari, Paul was very knowledgeable about every location we went to and knew the best spots for wildlife. He was very patient with all our questions and requests. Thank you Paul for the trip of a lifetime! We will definitely be back, hopefully next time with the kids!

We had the most amazing trip. Our driver/guide was Mwendwa who was fantastic. We were picked on Easter Sunday and started our safari, leaving Mombassa driving up to Nairobi Airport.
We travel up to Salt Lick hotel, wow what an amazing place. We saw some amazing wild life.
From Salt lick we travelled to Amboseli where we stayed over night. We had a really early start as we went on a Kilimanjaro balloon ride. The cloud cleared and we saw the top of Kilimanjaro. The sun came up and we were just skirting the tops of the trees with the balloon. Everyone really enjoyed the balloon ride
I can honestly say we had the most amazing safari.
We also visited a Masai Village where the boys in our party joined to tribal jumping competition
There were 8 of us, the Grandchildren were amazed with what they saw. We all travelled in a 4x4 and went down some unusual tracks but saw some sights that we probably eouldnt have seen otherwise
They had the first rains in two years, which meant the desert had started to turn a lush green with the wonderful flowers bursting out all over the place.
We saw, elephants with babies, zebras with young, lions and cubs, hippos and babies, warthogs and young. Just to name a few, saw loads more animals and an amazing number of birds

Our safari through Kenya and Tanzania was an experience of a life time! Paul and his team were outstanding! Very hands-on and with us every step of the way.
Our driver/guides were not only knowledgeable, they were experienced trackers. We followed thunderous herds of wildebeest across vast savannas and witnessed a legendary migration crossing. We saw the Big 5 up close and personal. We were treated to a night game drive and witnessed wild Africa unfiltered.
A shout out to Joseph, Gift, and John! Never intrusive, they generously shared cultural history of the important Maasai tribe as well as climate cycles in the Serengiti and rich varieties of flora and fauna in the Ngorongoro Crater.
We covered a lot of ground on this 11 day safari. Paul and staff saw us through border controls and immigration. Handoffs between teams were seamless. They also expertly navigated 10 of us between 7 different camp sites all the way through the airport where we bid fond farewells.
Real, local, on the ground experience showed. Ketsafari was brilliant!
A couple hints: Do your research and be on top of visa requirements and health documents. Expect to get bumped and bounced around a lot. A vehicle with good shock absorbers can help.

I've been on safari many times but this company is by far the best I've been with even better and so much cheaper than kuoni. Paul is brilliant nothing is to much trouble you can make your own plans and he will give you a price. We added nights and picked which hotels we wanted to stay in . The only thing I have to say why I didn't give it 5 stars was because after the tour and I guide dropped us off at our Mombasa hotel the guide counted our tip in front of us and said its not enough which so took the edge off the trip ,we gave a big tip but to be told it's not enough is SO wrong ,a tip is given as a thank you for good service an amount should not be expected if it is then either pay your guides more or slightly put your prices up so that your guests can either pay a tip or not .

We arranged a bespoke tour of Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro through KET. This was our second trip with KET. I rate them very highly. They were extremely accommodating to our date changes due to Covid, and always provide great value for money. Our driver this time was Saba, who was amazing, knowledgeable and a great host. Due to him, we saw the migration and tree climbing lions. I will be using KET again.

We booked a 7-day safari with Kenya Expresso Tour (KETS). The owner, Paul Mwendwa, responds quickly to inquiries. This was my fifth safari with KETS, so I know what to expect: a competitive quote, excellent service, integrity, a reliable vehicle, and a world-class experience that is both unforgettable and safe.
We are patrons of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, so this safari was customized to allow us to spend time with our foster elephant babies at both Ithumba and the Voi Stockade, as well as the Nairobi Nursery. Paul was also our driver, and was always punctual with our visitation schedule at the orphanages.
Ithumba must be the only place on earth where one can view wild elephants in such large numbers as they mingle with the orphans... an extraordinary experience.
We enjoyed several game drives in Tsavo East National Park. Paul has a good eye and strong instinct when it comes to viewing wildlife.
Regarding the exit covid test requirement, Paul made it easy: he took us to a Nairobi hospital that emailed results in 4-hours.
For anyone planning a Kenya / Tanzania safari, KETS should be your first contact.

KETS was professional and efficient in arranging for our ten day Safari to Maasi Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Amboseli in July 2024. Their guide/drivers were especially informative, friendly, flexible. solicitous and accommodating. Clearly, their mission was to ensure that our experience was as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
We are especially appreciative of owner Paul's effective expediting of our evisas- which we had not realized we needed to enter Kenya. We understand that KETS is acquiring new vehicles for next year's visitors which will surely enhance their experience. Asante Sana, KETS.

I don't think the Travel Advisor website gives enough details about your trips. I would desire a daily itinerary, info on accommodations, what the cost of transfer from the airport would be. What does luxury mean. Where can I get more detailed info?
Written November 17, 2019
Have you visited their website ketsafaris or emailed them via the website?
We travelled with them this summer and only booked a standard package. The Lake Naivasha lodge we stayed at was DEFINITELY luxury. Everything else was more than adequate. "Luxury" is a relative thing. Nothing will be like a 5 star city hotel and the roads to them will be bumpy. The lodges have limitations due to their locations, sometimes limited water or electricity etc. You will arrive at each night stop dusty and tired. All you will need if only staying one night, is bed, shower and eating facilities.
We booked our airport transfer with our pre safari hotel and it was USD25.00. I think that's a pretty standard charge.

Hello
I'm looking at the 6 Days 5 Nights Amboseli/Aberdares/Lake Nakuru/ Masai Mara - Standard luxury safari package but trying to keep costs down so likely we'll opt for the mid-range budget luxury accommodation safari package. I was just wondering if the tours are private e.g. just me and my fiancee or if we will be put together with others?
Thanks,
Louise

How difficult it is to cross from Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania? How long does it take and what are involved? Are the camp accommodations air-conditioned? Does it get cold any time during the day & night in the months of September & October? Thank you.
Written September 17, 2015
If I recall the drive between the two parks was 5 to 6 hours. We were there in late February 2015. It was hot but we were generally comfortable in the camps. I don't recall any of the rooms having air conditioning however.
