My experience with Elida tours exceeded my expectations . We booked a 10 day safari tour around Kenya and had the absolute time of our life. Now there are plenty of safari tours to book from, but here is what made Elida exceptional. Elizabeth was our point person and we had a group of 10 who wanted to make sure they hit all the must see sights in Kenya. Elizabeth took the time to put together a very custom trip that was able to address all our needs. She went out of her way to make sure that each trip detail was met with great precision. From the resorts we stayed in to the transportation arrangements, no detail was spared. She arranged airport pick up for all the members, even the members who arrived late in the night. She also arranged all our departure arrangements. Then David the company director, personally picked up each member from the airport, while assisting with details like clearance, currency exchange, getting access to Kenya cell phone sim cards; all the details that make a difference in a foreign country. Also David would make it a point to communicate and be in constant contact with every resort we were staying at to make sure all our accommodation needs were being met. Also making sure that we had proper vehicle for our safari excursions and well trained drivers knowledgeable drivers who made for excellent tour guides. All these small details made a huge difference in our safari travel experience and that is exactly what you need when traveling to a foreign country. I highly recommend Elida tours and their prices are pretty fair for the quality experience you get. Thank you again David and Elizabeth and the staff at Elida for helping us have the trip of a lifetime!!!

The safari experience was really good. We had a really good driver/guide who knew a lot about the animals and he made us feel safe. We did a two day safari-tour with one night sleep at the Manyatta camp at Maasai mara. The camp and the tent are really clean and nice, and the park was also really good. We also got to visit the maasai tribe for USD 30$ extra and it was a really good experience and I really recommend it.

I really recommend traveling with Elida Tours, both for their good prices and excellent service.

We travel through Nairobi annually and rely on David and his team to provide our transportation. His vehicles are comfortable and well maintained. He and his drivers are friendly and knowledgeable about the roads and attractions. You can expect great service at a reasonable price

I recommend Elida, its a highly professional and family owned tour company.

That combo brings you very close to those in charge and you avoid many levels of decitions and prices too. I have used them several times and have never disappointed.

Add spices like well organised, safety, helpful, politeness, nice prices and skilled employees, and you definitely got some of the vibe of that company.

If I go back to Kenya, there is no doubt I will use their good affordable service again 😊

David created an 11 day Safari that was a trip of a lifetime for my 50th birthday. From Nairobi to Amboseli to Maasai Mara to Naivasha, nothing was left undone. Tim was an amazing driver that became our friend. His passion for his craft is unbelievable. Tim made sure we had the best view and captured the perfect picture of every animal(and I mean EVERY animal). They made sure we saw everuthing Kenya had to offer. I can't imagine a better trip. If I come back to Kenya, David will be my first phone call!

David arranged the most fantastic safari in Masai Mara, working around our schedule.
Our driver, Tim, picked us up in Nairobi on a Monday evening, overnight at a lovely hotel (can't remember the name) and headed off Tuesday morning for Masai Mara. It's a terrible road as you get nearer to the park, but Elida has no control over that. It was a full day drive, stopping at a couple of "markets", arriving at Sopa Lodge mid afternoon. Tim took us on a short safari (about 2 hrs) and we were excited to see lots of animals, including 3 lions.
But the next day was INCREDIBLE! Tim seemed to know the best places to find animals! We saw everything (except rhino, which are hard to find in Masai Mara). We got "up close and personal" with lions, elephants, giraffe, ostrich, baboons, wildebeest, zebras... We saw 2 lions mating, hyenas and vultures fighting over a dead wildebeest, a leopard lounging in a tree, cheetahs lying in the shade, hippos sleeping on a sandbar, monkeys, jackals, cape buffalo, eland, topee, gazelle, hartebeest, warthog, mongoose, water buck, bushbuck, a crocodile and lots of beautiful birds.
I can't say enough about Tim... he was a fantastic guide! He knew the park inside out and gave us the best experience ever. It rained the night before we left and the road out of the area is terrible anyways, so with rain it was even worse... so many safari vehicles got stuck but not Tim... he got us through the most impassable roads!
I would highly recommend Elida Tours and David, and especially Tim!

Elida Tours are good at planning, booking and accesibility so that everything on your trip is going smoothly. The best star though, I will give to the competent drivers who are nice to talk to, drive carefully, and are always on time.

We had such a good experience with David and Moses on our Kilimanjaro trip that we came back and sought their assistance for a self drive we did across Kenya and Uganda. Once again nothing was too much trouble and David was remarkably resourceful, in particular connecting us with a trusted 'fixer' at the border. We needed to demonstrate the car was going to come back to Kenya - without any guidance the paperwork would have stumped us completely. That same fixer was waiting for us on our return. Its those little touches and forethought that ensure your travel is straightforward and does not teeter into disaster - which of course can easily happen anywhere in Africa.

David and his extensive team coordinated a group of 15 of us up Kilimanjaro and then over to the Amboseli Reserve. That required him to sort out transport, coordinate with the guide service on the mountain, accommodation at every point and otherwise link up every part of our trip which was a collection of many moving parts. On top that he managed to create an experience which was well within the reach of our students, something they all appreciated. He is a creative problem solver with deep local knowledge and connections which he pulled together for our benefit. We would use him again. In fact we did!
