Just back from 10 days holiday with Wasili and they were perfect throughout the the whole process and helped us have the holiday of a lifetime. Julius was friendly and welcoming, answering all our questions and tailoring the holiday for us with some great recommendations on how best to spend our time in Kenya.

Planning and booking was straightforward and very clear about what was included, such as meals and airport transfer etc. We had a vague idea of what we wanted to do and Julius was quick to respond to all our emails with an initial plan and then adapted as we wished. The end result was competitively priced and suited to our budget.

The trip itself all went smoothly, our guide Jasan was amazing. He was so full of knowledge about all animals large and small and Kenyan people and culture. He had a lot of local knowledge and contacts to make sure we saw all the animals we wanted to during our trip. The van was everything you needed, a 4x4 ready for the roads and a pop up roof ready for the safari. Unlike many others, this was a private tour so no sharing a car with strangers. Jasan looked after us the whole time and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout.

We went to Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha & Amboseli. I would also recommend this particular route as it gave such a great variety.

Thank you again Julius and Jasan we will always treasure the memories of our time together.

Go without any hesitation! Wasili Kenya safaris take good care you. They were available for communication at all points right from planning stage to the actual day of travel. During our travel a sudden riot broke loose, however our guide Mr. Evans very meticulously coordinated with his other friends in different parts of the route we were taking and ensured our safe reaching back to Nairobi. Excellent service! Thanks Kamau and Evans!

Wonderful experience in Maasai Mara. We were supposed to visit Kenya in July but had to postpone and Kamau helped us to rebook for the start of November. We have been on a thee day adventure and were picked up from our hotel by Peter. Kamau kept us informed about his arrival time. The journey to Maasai Mara was pleasant. My wife loves plants and Peter is very knowledgeable about local vegetation. We had a schedule for the three days, but Peter told us to express our wishes and was flexible. We had our first taste of the park when we arrived and saw a giraffe family. We also spotted an elephant and a buffalo, as well as lots of zebras, warthogs and gazelles. For day 2 we had booked a balloon safari at dawn and Peter let us meet with Sami who explained what would happen. The balloon safari was fantastic. We saw the sunrise from the balloon and spotted lions and elephants from above. After a perfect breakfast, Peter picked us up from where we had landed and took us to the south side of the park, near the border with Tanzania. We were already happy but the best was still to come. Another vehicle had spotted a pack of lions, hunting wildebeasts. We waited for half an hour as the lions decided what to do. Most other jeeps (there had been around 15) left, but Peter predicted that the lions would retreat as the heat rose. There were only 3 jeeps left as the 9 lions passed less than 5 yards away from our vehicle on the way to the shade. That was good, but more was to come. We spotted a group of 5 cheetah’s that were following antilopes. The animals did not mind the jeeps at all and passed us even closer than the lions had done. As we drove on, we saw another jeep that was stuck at a river crossing. We stopped and Peter used his cable to pull the vehicle free. Our jeep was state of the art, but so where many others. Our driver was however in a league of his own. We were past 1:00 pm and on our way to a late lunch when we spotted elephants nearby, and we were very excited. So Peter offered to postpone lunch and drive up to the bushes where the elephants were. The five beasts were having lunch themselves and let us approach within 10 yards, not being bothered at all. After that, having lunch with Peter under a tree and seeing two hippo’s cross the Mara River rounded off our day. Unless you are interested to hear that when we were back at the Simba Lodge and had dinner, a hippo decided to climb out of the water on the opposite bank and walk along in the dark. Priceless

Julius is the best guide ever, he's so funny, entertaining and enthusiastic! Me and my kids (11 and 14) we didn't see the 8 hours pass at all! And he is so knowledgeable about savanna animals, their rituals. In only 2 hours he made us meet 6 lions, one cute baby lion, 3 rhinos, 4 giraffes, a bunch of impalas, gazelles, vultures, and so many more (all that right next to our car)! He really has an eye for wild life. Not to mention the tricks he has to have a conversation with birds. Apart from all that, he is a great storyteller and entertainer, full of engaging anecdotes and facts, interacting with you, you just want to learn from him. And on top of that, he's so adaptable and patient. Expertise, knowledge and lots of fun, best skills ever when you go on a game drive with a guide. With Julius you just cannot get bored. And thanks to his experience, we have the best photos ever from the game drive! Totally recommend!

I thoroughly recommend contacting Julius while in Kenya. He will show you around in a very caring way, sharing with you his knowledge about his country. He is fun and we had the best discussions. I will definitely write to him again when I’m back in Kenya to organize my next trips. 10/10!

Wasili Kenya Safaris is providing outstanding service with attention to every planning detail and second to none. An epic 7 day adventure! All issues that can be controlled were impeccably managed in a secure and trustworthy manner: I had very little to worry about in that respect; pick up, drop off, vehicle and choice of hotel were exemplary; Wasili Kenya Safaris simply got it all done right. The weather and game viewing are always partially a matter ok luck, but also a matter of expert guiding, Julius and team are second to none. We saw tusker elephants, lions. Cheetah etc, while others were left wondering how. Wasili Kenya Safaris were outstanding … it was simply an Eepic adventure. I doubt you will find better. Just epic! Thank you Julius and team. Epic!

I was in Nairobi for business and left some time to see the Park. Wasili were highly recommended and I can see why! Evans was my guide - prompt pickup, great conversation throughout. He shared with me some of the history of the city and the park and was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the park. We spent >6 hours together and saw all kinds of wildlife and scenery. He was in constant contact with other guides over the radio about where particular animals were sighted and at one point took off down a road saying that he had seen giraffes walking that way and they were going to cross it on their way to water. Sure enough, they crossed the road right in front of us and we were the only ones there... Can't say enough good things about Evans - great vehicle, conversation, knowledgeable and a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

Really enjoyed this day out! Evan’s was a fantastic guide and really knew his stuff. Would recommend this package as it included all the additional costs of park entrance fees. The elephant sanctuary was a highlight! One of the best things to do whilst exploring Nairobi

We went for a tour to and through Amboseli National Park with a night over stay and had a phenomenal experience with Wasili Kenya Safaris. Especially our personal tour guide and driver Peter made our trip so special. He was always patient, helpful and so kind to answer all our questions, shared his knowledge and years of experience on certain situations during the game drives and about the animals behaviors. During the game drives with the land cruiser he was able to get us always in the best position for photography and recording videos got the best safari ever possible. We’re so thankful for him and Wasili Kenya Safaris. We’re looking forward to our next adventures with them. Caroline and Christian

Our guide is not the type of person who boasts about his business to attract customers. I was a bit worried at the beginning because he didn't seem very responsive on WhatsApp. However, I was truly impressed by our journey with him. I then realized he is a real doer, with tons of experience in safaris. He knows almost all the animals we encountered and explained what they are to us. He also has very good relationships with other drivers we met along the way, which is why he is well-informed about the animals' whereabouts. Initially, we didn't see any lions, but he took the initiative to talk to people and found out where to find them. Eventually, we managed to see some gorgeous lion families! Overall, our guide is very dependable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.
