The one thing I liked was how seamless it was to reserve my return Nairobi to Moshi shuttle tickets online and the next day I received my confirmation email!
I later on emailed them asking if they provided drop off and pick up services in Moshi. Never got a response!
The staff on the shuttle told me that Moshi drop off and pick up service is available to clients staying in Moshi town and it's environs and should have been included in my reservation!! I also learned on the day of travel that the actual shuttle company is Riverside Shuttle... next time I'll definitely reserve directly with them!!
They say the drop off Moshi location is YWCA. For the life of me, I could not find that location on Google maps... it would be helpful if they provided more information like street name or a Google map link.
Maybe if you reserve in person at the office you might have better luck getting questions answered than I did or getting all the services available included in your reservation.

We took this shuttle after I researched how to get to Arusha from Nairobi and back. Private drivers wanted $500 each way. We paid $30 each way. It is a small bus, not luxurious, but provided the transport we needed at a fraction of the cost. There is no molly coddling but we were able to navigate through the border crossing and our driver was looking out for us on the other side. This is a transport used by redidents, not so much for tourists but I would recommend it. You get to see the countryside and would spend just as much time door to door flying with all of the security. Great value for the money. Another note: make sure that you have your yellow fever vaccination forms, because they required it for reentry into Kenya when returning from Tanzania.

One big advantage of this shuttle is its Nairobi base in the car park of the Silver Springs hotel....quiet, no crowds of travellers, toilets beside the office. Early morning shuttle recommended. Shuttle officials helpful. Mineral water and biscuits provided. The new 'one stop' immigration facility at Namanga seems more complicated than its Busia border equivalent. Three windows to queue at and it takes time. After that you have to climb a steep flight of steps with your luggage to re-board the bus. If it wasn't for a helpful 'official', I don't know how I would have managed—and I didn't know if he was really 'official'!

This is just a shuttle that everyone can book from riverside, on board there could be tourists and locals, some of these are picked on the way.
I booked a seat and was put in a different one.
I felt cramped and uncomfortable the whole way. I do not recommend.

Clean,.confortable, only necessary stops, no annoying music, all this is a lot for East Africa standards! Only recommendation try to take the morning shuttle, in the afternoon many people at the Namanga migration controls, and very pole-pole migration officers who don't like to be hurried!! 6-7hs including 1,5 hs at the border.

The best transfer services from Nairobi to Moshi. We had a wonderful experience all through. We also had a stop at the border for lunch.

On our way from Arusha to Nairobi after trekking Kilimanjaro, we booked with a mini van from Arusha to Nairobi and the ride was flawless, left on time, border crossing was fairy fast and we arrived in Nairobi on time. i would recommend it

Hi. My brother and I is planning a trip to Nairobi and then Arusha in mid December. The shuttle you took looks like a good solution for our transportation problem. I have a few questions and I hope your first hand experience can help us to finalize our plan.
1. Do we need to book the shuttle bus ahead of time? Can we book seats after we arrive in Nairobi? We will spend 5 days in Nairobi.
2. Does the bus make rest stops on the way, like going to the restroom?
3. Do we need to apply an eVisa to Tanzania before we head to Nairobi? Can we get a visa at the Namanga port of entry?
4. Does the driver speak English?
Thank you very much!

Lei,greetings from East Africa.Kindly Find answers as below:
1. Do we need to book the shuttle bus ahead of time? Its good to have a pre arranged shuttle seats
Can we book seats after we arrive in Nairobi? That would be o.k but would recommend you book in advance
We will spend 5 days in Nairobi. That would be great to have a city experience
Does the bus make rest stops on the way, like going to the restroom?
Yes we have stops as below:
Nairobi to Namanga- transit distance is 2 and half hours - we make a stop for wash room, can buy water or snack.
at Border we make a stop can have washroom but you need local currency washrooms are charges a tenth of a dollar
Namanga border to Arusha -Transit time 2 hours
3. Do we need to apply an eVisa to Tanzania before we head to Nairobi? Can we get a visa at the Namanga port of entry?
New visa process in Tanzania.
Please be aware that with immediate effect Kilimanjaro airport has changed the process of issueing visas on arrival. Clients arriving in Kilimanjaro without a visa now need to complete the following process:
• Queue for a Government Control Number
• Queue to pay for this at the bank
• Queue for Immigration to check and issue the visa
We would really appreciate your help in letting your guests know about this change, and strongly recommending that those that still have time before they travel apply for their Tanzania visa online at immigration g .tz. The online process asks for more information than a visa on arrival, and are issued within 2 - 3 weeks.
The changes at Kilimanjaro has meant that the visa on arrival process can take in excess of two hours, and we’d really prefer that your guests did not have to go through that. We’ve been reassured that measures are being put in place to make this quicker, but until that happens we feel that the above recommendation is our best bet.
For Namanga Border its easy to have visa at the order
4. Does the driver speak English? Yes driver speaks English
Welcome
