After 32 hours of traveling, we pulled up to our home in the Uber weary but happy. What a masterful and amazing experience; from the moment we met our safari guide, Simon to the hug’s goodbye. As I sat meditating over the last couple of weeks, I was trying to pull out of my mind what stood out. It all did. From Simon's vast knowledge of Kenya’s culture and wildlife to each of the special SWT lodges. Was it Lefty’s big smile or Phillips attention to detail? Was it seeing our foster babies Kerrio or Enkesha? The great food prepared with care and love or the dramatic view from our cabana at the top of Ithumba Hill. Was it the 6-ton bull Bouncer Looking tough at Ithumba or the lions mating in Amboseli? I could go on and on, but the point is it all stood out and I have never had the experience of the perfect vacation until now. Over my Lifetime I have had a few things that were life changing. This is now one of them.

Just returned from a Capture Africa Tour of the SWT orphan elephant tour. It was amazing. Up close and personal with my foster babies. The accommodations were luxurious. Only 3 people on my tour made it very intimate and special. I hope to do it again.

In 2017 I was fortunate to go on the Capture Africa Tours - Shadows of Giants Tour, a experience beyond my wildest expectation. Thinking about my first trip in two years, I decided to book the Foster Elephant Tour to go back to see the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's elephants that I had followed for years and via live streams during the pandemic, they were growing up and released into the wild. Capture Africa Tours team delivered again, incredible hospitality - very thoughtful in every detail of the planning. From the time I touched down in Nairobi and departed they were there to take care of me and ensure each experience could be enjoyed to the fullest. The unique opportunity they offer to visit the orphanage and the reintegration units is amazing to understand the full scope of the work of Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The stays at the Sheldrick Eco Lodges were spectacular, quality of accommodations, amenities and hospitality are unparalleled. This my second trip and it left me with profound happiness and memories, a trip that if I was given a choice as my last one, it would be with the Elephant - Capture Africa Tours.

Jambo Jeanne, We greatly appreciate the review of your tour with us! It was a pleasure to have you join us and love your passion and enthusiasm for all the elephants...especially little Mambo. Your cooking expertise came out on the tour and we all learned much about how the meals were possibly put together. I will be eating more Passion fruit and have already been to the store to pick some up. Unfortunately I do not think they will taste as good as they did in Kenya! Thank you again and we hope to see you back in Kenya when circumstances are good for you. Dick Dick Berry Owner/ Operator Capture Africa Tours LLC info@captureafricatours.com captureafricatours.com

I have visited Kenya and other African countries many times. We decided we wanted to visit Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’ Orphanage and release sights ,as we have visited the orphanage many times and we foster several elephants.Trying to find a company that does a holiday like this is difficult, but I came across Capture Africa Tours on Facebook.I liked what I read ,so I made enquiries .I immediately liked the look of ‘In the Shadow of Giants’ holiday. So I contacted Dick Berry and our holiday started to take shape. Dick was so helpful guiding us through all the paperwork .Due to COVID we had to postpone the holiday, but we finally got there PCR tests and all!, I am so glad we went,It was the best holidayI have ever had. Patrick our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful at all times, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was unbelievable, never have I stayed in such beautiful lodges,,the food was great ,the staff were great ,we were treated like VIP’s. Visiting the release sights was magical, mingling with the orphans was lovely ,and the keepers were so pleased to tell us all we wanted to know. If you love elephants and want the best holiday ever, contact Capture Africa Tours you will not be disappointed

Hello Jenny & Graham, Thank you so much for your wonderful review about taking your safari with Capture Africa Tours. Being from the United Kingdom is a plus because there are many people from the UK who love elephants and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Now they know what your experience was like and hopefully more will be in contact with us to join one of our Sheldrick Wildlife Trust tours. You had some wonderful images as well from your tour so thank you for including those in your review. Patrick is very appreciative of your kind words and he is one of our best guides. Many of our repeat clients/friends request him when they make the journey back to Kenya. Thank you again for taking the time to give us your review along with the 5 Star rating! We hope you make the journey back to Kenya. Best, Dick Dick Berry Owner/Operator Capture Africa Tours info@captureafricatours.com captureafricatours.com

Our trip to Kenya with Capture Africa Tours was beyond my imagination. We took the In the Shadow of Giants tour in Jan-Feb, 2022. We added a safari at the Nairobi National Park the day before the tour started which was great. We saw lions, zebras, giraffes, herdebeasts, hippos and more all with the backdrop of the city. I highly recommend coming in a day ahead and adding this on. We spent lots of up close time with the orphan elephants who ranged in age at the nursery from 0-3 years and at the reintegration camps 3-over 13 years of age. The elephant keepers encouraged us to interact with the elephants, took pictures for us and kept us from getting stepped on. Our guide, Patrick, was wonderful. He was with us the entire time. He did all the driving, set us up for amazing sunset pictures on safari and fixed us drinks in the evenings. He obviously loves his job and we loved him. The accommodations at the camps were beyond my wildest dreams. I went with 2 girlfriends but had my own room at every place. I have never felt so spoiled. I basically had my own villa at each place which were screened and had fancy mosquito netting that the staff set up in the evenings. It was a little warm going to bed but cooled off quickly and was very comfortable. Bugs were not a major problem. I did use bugsspray every day just in case. Amboseli National Park is a definite must for any future trips along with the giraffe conservatory in Nairobi. Capture Africa's owner, Dick Berry, helped us get all our documents in order ahead of time and answered all of questions along the way. I highly recommend taking a tour with Capture Africa and can't wait to go back.
