A trip of a lifetime and what memories!!
After doing a 7 day safari tour with these guys, all I can say is what a fantastic experience we had. We saw everything, the big 5, a kill which we were told was very rare and many more such as flamingoes, crocodiles, zebra, and giraffes. We were out in Kenya for our granddaughters 18th as she loves giraffes, and it has been superb. Karibu safaris were efficient, on time, and our guide Castro was just the best. He knew where to go for us to see the animals. He always got the van into the right spot for the thousands of photos and was a really nice guy. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure the granddaughter saw probably every giraffe in the parks, so thank you, Castro, you were incredible. Yes, there were lows, but the highs outweigh them, bumpy dusty roads, buffet food every day, early morning starts, but think where you are - out in the savannahs. Personally I would ask for an upgrade in Masai Mara Lodge, the Waterbuck Hotel at Lake Nakuru was fab, the Masada Hotel at Lake naivasha I would give it a miss but the AA lodge at Amboselli in their superior room rounded the holiday off in style. All in all a trip of a lifetime.

    Great
Just came back from 8 Day Safari organised by Karibu Safaris in Kenya. Robert from Karibu Safaris Office, has been great to deal with, as all E-mailes were promptly answered. Also Safari was organised very well with all my special requests catered for. Example- Robert was able to provide 4WD specially modified for photography. Driver/Guide Simat & assistant Richard have been wonderful companions, with a wealth of knowledge. Thank U Robert for organising this wonderful Safari.

    Unforgettable Sunrise!
We did the trekking up to Mount Kenya with Jimmy as guide. It was such a great experience. We felt very safe at all times. He and his team are very well prepared and know the mountain and its dangers perfectly. They help you with everything prior, during and after! It's something I absolutely recomend for trekking lovers. Being able to walk under the stars up the mountain (we even saw a couple of shooting stars) and see the sunrise from the top of Lenana peak it's something we will not forget!

    4 day safari - Maasai Mara/Lake Nukuru/Nairobi
An absolutely amazing experience, made so much better by the Kenyan people. Our tour guide Stanley was a wealth of knowledge and a gent. The owners and workers at our camp in Maasai Mara, Helen, Carol, Lucy, Wyclef and their solar panel operator Gideon all made us feel at home. We then joined Moses and John for the Lake Nukuru part of our trip. Again a fantastic experience but we were so well looked after by both of these guys. A great trip, an unreal experience with both safari and Maasai elements but the people involved really made this trip a special one. Asante sana Kenya 🇰🇪 YNWA💪 Aodhán & David, Donegal, Ireland

***SCAM ALERT*** This company works with a non license operator #travelwithsinja and are running a scam. They charge as much as possible and booked in the cheapest places to make more that a 100% profit. If you don’t want to be disappointed and scammed, do not do business with any of them. They will block you once you start asking questions. Below are some of their bookings for foreigners. My husband and I got sick and had to book another place with our own money, after paying for the whole tour. Still waiting on refunds that we probably won’t received even when we have proved the difference in prices.

I did not ask for a cheap safari, neither paid cheap prices.

Before I paid a deposit I specifically checked through email communication if the safari would be in the order I saw on the safari booking website, i.e., day 1 Lake Naivasha, day 2 Lake Nakuru and days 3-4 at Masai Mara. This was so we would get as close to 2 full days at Masai Mara as possible as I was aware the trip would involve a lot of travelling. I was assured by the agent I communicated with by email it would be in this order.

On day 1 of the tour, when I was picked up, it wasn't until we were almost there and I asked before I was told we were headed to Masai Mara. In the end most of day 1 was spent travelling to Masai Mara and we only spent 2.5 hours on the safari. The very thing I was trying to avoid with my questions! Day 2 was a full day at Masai Mara. To add, the hotel we stayed at, Jambo Mara Lodge, I really liked.

Day 3 was Lake Nakuru (which in the itinerary I was given we were supposed to go to on day 2). The accommodation, the Waterbuck Hotel is not good. Good breakfast but very rundown rooms with too much noise from outside so it's hard to sleep. Plus no fan or air conditioning.

Day 4 was Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate, which was supposed to be on day 1. The accommodation, Masada hotel, was better than Waterbuck, bit still not very good, no fan or air con and bathroom was quite smelly and my toilet didn't have a toilet seat.

What I liked about the safari:

1. I enjoyed the actual safari itself and seeing all the animals.
2. I liked Jambo Mara Safari Lodge.

What I didnt like:

1. Not correctly informed about the itinerary of the trip, even though I asked.
2. I did a shared safari and everyone was given a different itinerary (i.e., each person was given a different order and some were told we would do a pre-breakfast drive at Masai Mara, which we didnt do). We were all on the safari for a different amount of days so I think the issue was they were trying to accommodate everyone's different schedules. This should have been explained when I asked.
3. The tour guide didn't explain from day to day where we were going and what we would be doing and seemed annoyed when we would ask for information. As a result, we were all quite confused from day to day on what the plan was.
4. A lot of driving from one location to another. The longest drive being Nairobi to Masai Mara, which took 6 - 7 hours.

We have had a great safari trip of 6 days through the beautiful country of Kenya. We have been to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivashia and Amboseli. All the parks were stunning and we have seen the Big Five! 🤩 Also the accommodations were totally fine and our guide Geoffrey was amazing. He is very humble, talks you through the highlights of Kenya very well, let us feel safe the whole trip and is the best driver we have ever seen! Therefore, I would totally recommend to book a tour with Karibu Safaris and especially with Geoffrey! Thank you for the amazing trip!!

It was a great experience with Karibu Safaris throughout the journey. Especially the Guide and driver (Freddy).I initially enquired many agencies and one of my friend suggested to go for the customized one where i found Karibu to be one of the best so far.My entire journey started from Masai to Amboseli (6N/7D).I never faced any issues in arranging things throughout the journey.

I would recommend Karibu Safari is well organized, customized tour agency. I am again booking my game drive this year for 10 days with 10 pax from Karibu in Aug.

I did the 4 day trip to Mt Kenya and sumitted Lenana peak. Karibu organised transport to & from the mountain which went very smoothly but the best part of the trip was my guide Kevin and chef Maron. Kevin was excellent, great to chat to about life, Kenyan culture and park wildlife etc. Maron cooked the most incredible and plentiful meals and together they created an excellent experience for me. They went above and beyond - Setting up my tent, setting up cute lunch locations en route and made the trip the best. Communication before the tour was great answering questions and good value for money.

The booking process was easy and the information I received was good. The pickup from the airport and subsequent coordination were timely and smooth. Geoffrey was our friend, guide, and driver all rolled into one and he is AMAZING. He briefed us about the program clearly and ensured our 6 days were perfect. His coordination skills are exceptional, he just seems to know everybody. He is a jolly fellow and shared anecdotes about the animals and made the safari interesting, during the long drives between parks he introduced us to Kenyan music and we are still tapping our feet.

BE CAREFUL!!!

We booked our Safari at Amboseli with this company and we were completely scammed! Therefore, better spend some extra money initially and go with a serious partner.

Why:
We were dropped off at a different camp (worst camp in this area) than agreed as per our offer. The worst was that the really tried to do this move without telling us. After confronting them, they said it was the same standard or even better, however, the room and the terrible google reviews told a different story. Furthermore, Victor our only contact person from the company was very reluctant to support and extremely unfriendly.
We then had to book an accomodation ourselves and had to cover costs for the last minute booking. At least we got some of our money back, but not enough as they still wanted to earn money for this increadibly bad service.

Again, you better book through a trusted company and spend some more money in the beginning, as you probably will do so anyway…
