We thoroughly enjoyed our Mount Kenya trek and were very grateful for Sam, our brilliant guide, and our fantastic porters and cook. We would most definitely recommend Mount Kenya Climbing Expeditions - Daniel was very helpful and patient in answering all of our questions. A trip and trek we will never forget!

The trip was great and well worth the money. Incredible landscape, elephants and a good hike - however, not as hard as I thought it would be! :) This was an enjoyable experience with friendly guides accompanying me throughout. We shared good and productive conversations while eating chapati and drinking uji, prepared by the cook. I did experience some issues with organisation, however, the company (namely, Daniel) resolved it amicably with even reimbursing a part of the money. Would definitely recommend!

We have choosen Bounfiful Safaris for our 5-days trip. They have made for us a complete package inc. pick up in our hotel in Nairobi, transfer to the gate, climbing team (guide, cook, porters) and transfer back, everything to our full satisfaction. We have climbed Sirimon route up and Chogoria route down. I recommend not to hurry up and to stay one day at the Shipton´s camp for acclimatization and enjoy the fantastic views of all main peaks. Ascend is not extremely demanding but good acclimatization is necessary.

I booked this trip for my husband and myself as well as my son, Mark and his friend Paul who planned to climb Mt Batian while we aimed for Point Lenana. We took the Sirimon route up to Shipton’s Camp. After summiting Point Lenana Gordon and I then went down to camp at Mintos Hut and had the fun of being on Mt Kenya in the snow. The next day we walked the 22km down the Chogoria route and were lucky enough to get a hut at Meru Bandas as it poured with rain that night. The terrain and scenery on Mt Kenya is extraordinary and varied, the different lobelia are amazing. The terrain and vegetation going from Mintos to Chogoria is completely different again, with many lovely wildflowers and cypresses as one nears Chogoria. Gordon and I went on to climb Mt Meru 2 days later. The Mt Meru experience was very different to Mt Kenya, the lodge accomodation is more modern and we had our own room each night. There is the added bonus of the views of Mt Kilimanjaro along the route and from the viewing platform at Miriakambo hut. We would like to say a huge thank you to Daniel and all his staff for the incredible experience we had both on Mt Kenya and Mt Meru. The arrangements were all absolutely perfect and went like clockwork and we always felt we were in the best hands. I thoroughly recommend Mount Kenya Climbing to anyone who is considering a trip to Mt Kenya and /or Meru and Kilimanjaro. Daniel really does go the extra mile with information and ensuring that the trip goes smoothly.
