Outstanding opportunity to see wildlife up close

I'm giving this 1 star because the driver, David, got us to and from the hotel without an accident. Otherwise this was a huge scam. We all paid a lot of money for this trip. The car was unroadworthy (and I know what that means because I travel in taxis in Cape Town). It appeared to be about 40 years... More

The good thing is that this park is as close as it comes to Nairobi. Unfortunately it doesn't worth the time or the money, since you can't spent more than 3 hours and it offers a very mediocre experience.

Admittedly we had the opportunity to tour this with a well versed local guide in a 4WD Toyota it is not a place to venture unguided in a saloon car which we suspect some visitors we encountered were. Picnic areas within facilitate easy stops on a visit that can easily last all day. We did 4.5 hours and over midday... More

A day trip to Nairobi National Park is a must! Lots of game, and 4 out of the big 5 are here. Easy routes, and proximity to the city make it affordable, and easy and access.

In a few hours was able to see, Rhino, a lioness, zebra, giraffe, hippo, ostriches, and many unusual birds. Incredible to see so close to the city, well worth supporting.

Let me start this review by what I don't like about the park: Kenya Wildlife Services slow, nonchalant way of ensuring you pay or don't pay. We arrived at the park at 0630am and it took one hour for us to get through the gate. Not that there was a long queue (as payment system is automated) but the verification... More

Except Elefants you find the Big Five in the NBO-NP. Only a few visitors. Several Picnic Sites to leave the vehicle (be careful, at Leopard Viewpoint we met a lion in the nearby bushy area). The gravelroads are dry at the moment, but prefer a 4W Car to reach even regions out of the way.50 US$ entrance fee for non... More
