Essam and his Egypt Best Vacations team are absolutely brilliant.
Essam from the head quarters had arranged internal flights and all accommodation and ground transportation. Everything was from an handpicked itinerary and Essam managed to intelligently incorporate everything I wanted to do in the limited time available. Essam listened carefully and advised on hotel options and even accommodated a last minute flight change request.
I received an unexpected birthday cake and singing on the Nile cruise and an upgrade to a pyramid view room in Cairo. Last but not least, Essam paid a surprise visit in Luxor over a cup of delicious Egyptian coffee in a traditional cafe.
Our private chaperone Khalaf was a wealth of knowledge in both ancient and contemporary Egyptian history.
Khalaf, is not your everyday tour guide. He speaks a couple of European languages and has a degree in Egyptology.
Khalaf took care of all the day to day needs, from getting tickets for attractions to seamlessly helping through intimidating security police/military checkpoints. There was not an instant of uncertainty or hesitation in Khalaf; he seemed to know all the places we visited like the palms of his own hands. I have learned so much about Egyptian culture, history and lifestyle. There was always a clear explanation and fascinating anecdotes regardless of whether we were visiting historical sites, bustling cities, museums, artisan shops, etc.
Khalaf tailored everything in our itinerary to the needs of the moment and delighted us with bespoke options and additional experiences
Finally, a special mention to Sayed: which I can confidently say is one of the best drivers I have ever had in all of my worldwide travels.
Sayed managed to smoothly navigate our minivan through Cairo despite the madness of it all.
Sayed’s exemplary composure and calm made us feel extremely safe at all times.
Sayed’s attentiveness in equipping the van with cool water, hand sanitizer tissues and wet wipes created a safe oasis of calm in the vehicle.
Thank you for everything Essam, Khalaf, Sayed and all the other welcoming travel professionals we met in our time in Egypt!

Our second trip to Egypt turned out to be one of the most impressive trips of my life. All was planned by Essam Ali Ali Mahmoud of Egypt Best Vacations. Essam designed for us a wonderful 8-day road trip from Cairo to Luxor, starting with many interesting places in Cairo, particularly the Grand Egyptian Museum that is now partially open but well worth to visit, the exquisite place of Prince Mohamed Ali, one of the truly hidden gems of Cairo, and a nice Felucca boat ride in the Nile. Then we set off to El Minya to see a very early pyramid in Zawyet Al-Amwat, Tombs of Bani Hassan and Stables of Antar, before continuing to the ancient Egyptian holy city of Abydos to explore the stunning Temple of Seti. After Abydos we went on to the fabulous Temple of Hathor in Dendera which is famous for its astonishing astronomical scenes, then arriving the charming Luxor to visit the Tomb of Sennefer – one of the most beautifully decorated tombs in Egypt, Dier El Madina where the royal workers made their own elegant tombs and the majestic Habu Temple. Flying back from Luxor to Cairo, Essam led us to the Hanging Church, Moaz street and the vibrant Khan El-Khalili market.
For anyone wishing to visit to Egypt, I highly recommend the 5-star service of Egypt Best Vacations. Being only two women, we felt very safe and comfortable through the journey. Above all, it was Essam’s vast knowledge and captivating explanation, meticulous and caring arrangements and also his sense of humor that made our trip a very awesome and joyful one.
I will surely visit this splendid country of Egypt again.
For anyone wishing to visit to Egypt, I highly recommend the 5-star service of Egypt Best Vacations. Being only two women, we felt very safe and comfortable through the journey. Above all, it was Essam’s vast knowledge and captivating explanation, meticulous and caring arrangements and also his sense of humor that made our trip a very awesome and joyful one.

Our 12 day private tour, including overnight train to Aswan, 4 night Nile cruise, and 3 night Hurghada Red Sea resort stay was amazing. Essam and his team of knowledgeable local guides went above and beyond to ensure a first-class service. We took a tour of several days with ebv.
We received a very good balanced proposal offering the things we wanted to do .
First day we did the balloon trip,the karnak temple and a felucca boat trip at sunset and luxor temple at sundown. Our guide Sam was very knowledgeable and gave us good insights in past and current Egypt. There was no push to go to shops , what we appreciated. Tour guide and driver were fkexible to our needs , it was a private tour and we were delivered on the spot what was very easy.
The second day we visited west bank . We decided to add on an extra half day with valley of the nobles, valley of the workers and the nebu temple. This extra day was certainly worth while: the visited areas were less crowded, but we saw well preserved thombs with decorations that gave us good insight but are certainly a must see.
The last day we had a private transfer from luxor to hurghada. Our driver was an excellent driver who drove safely, that was very important to us . So all over we were very happy with the delivered service . Good value for money.

This was my second trip to Egypt. Last year we did visited Cairo, Luxor and did the Nile River cruise, all arranged by Egypt Best Vacations (EBV). We fell in love with Egypt, the people, the ancient history and the culture. One of the best experiences of my life! Therefore we returned in Feb. and asked EBV to take us to places we did not experience the 1st time. This included a trip to Alexandria, Old Cairo and a jeep ride thru the Sahara desert to the Fayoum Oasis to see the fossils of ancient whales (including an intact 30M year old Basilousarus Isis whale. Then is was off to Luxor to visit Dendera -Temple of Hathor and Abydos- Temple of Seti I. Unlike the temples in the previous trip, they retained much of the color and detail on the walls and ceilings. In Luxor ,we enjoyed an awesome ballon ride (not to be missed). Back in Cairo, we visisted the GEM before our flight back to the states.
Two things I would like to say: 1) Egypt is one of the safest places I have ever traveled to. Everywhere we went, we had personal tour guide and driver who arranged everything every day. All we had to do was book our flights to Cairo and they took it from there. 2) Egyptians are the most kind and welcoming people, more than any other country I have been to. Essam Ali (owner of EBV), his drive Rafi and our guide in Cairo Mahmound Ramadan and driver Syed have become our very close friends and the reason we will likely return for more adventures and dear friendships.
Please do no hesitate to travel to Egypt. You will be in the best of hands with Essam and his team!

To Essam tour operator,
Egypt Best Vacation for the transportation was on time every time even we changed 2-3 times our schedule for the 5 pick up. The email respond was 10-20 minutes even afterhours.

A huge thank you to Essam, Mahmoud, Omar and the beautiful Radwa (our best shopping partner) for the wonderful care they showed us on our recent trip. We have booked multiple tours with this company and will rate them individually:
- Luxor West Bank tour with balloon
Pro's: the driver was on time and drove well, the balloon was nice.
Con's: Our tourguide Mohammed "SuperMo" tried and succeeded to scam us at the alabaster shop. You can recognize him in the photo. We thought we could trust our tourguide, but unfortunately that was not the case. He constantly kept pushing us to give tips and go to 'authentic' shops which had crazy prices (65 euros for a poor quality figere), while we already overpaid for the tour itself.
- Daytrip to Aswan
Another day with our tourguide "SuperMo". It felt horrible to be dependent of someone you can't trust. There was a lot of tension on both sides. As a woman I had to sit alone with him for 6 hours in a small room in the train to Aswan and back. While my brothers were in a different room. It didn't feel good.
We didn't let him scam us that day because we learned from the day before, but that didn't stop him from trying. Again offering to shop and lunch for 25 euros per person. Crazy prices in Egypt.
- Transfer from Luxor to Cairo
This was probably the worst experience in Egypt. We had two drivers: an older man and a younger one. The younger one drove crazy, it really wasn't safe. While the older man was a better driver, they both couldn't read nor were familiar in Cairo, so we got lost and wasted about 2 hours aimlessly driving around because they kept missing the right turns, until my brother took over and showed them the way to our hotel. The younger driver even drove against traffic on a HIGHWAY. We all could have died, fortunately that didn't happen.
- Transfer from Cairo to Alexandria
This was the only good experience. The driver was on time, relaxed and most importantly he drove safe. He deserved 5 stars and is the only reason we give this overall experience 2 starts instead of 1.
We would definitely not recommend this company for any tours and even the transfers from this company aren't consistent as you have to hope that you get a good driver who drives safe.

Thank you for send us your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not ideal. We pride ourselves on ensuring our guests have an amazing vacation and can only apologize that on this occasion we fell short. We can confirm, that we hire some people as third party to do some jobs. Following this staff issues have been addressed, and this is the last job for this guide and the driver.
We also wanted to clarify that our prices are very reasonable and competitive. You were not overpaid. You bought from us two tours and two transfers as following:
A package tour of Luxor west bank, balloon ride and felucca ride for 120 USD per person. A day trip to Aswan by train for 120 USD per person. The price included transportation, entrance fees, ballooning, felucca ride, train tickets, and tour guide. One transfer from Luxor to Cairo by 4-seater van for 200 USD for 03 people, we provided you with a 12-seater van not a 4-seater van. One transfer from Cairo to Alexandria for 90 USD for 3 people by a 4-seater van. We provided you with a 12-seater van. As well as we have forwarded to you a token refund as a apology from (Egypt Best Vacations) team, that we fell short. With all of these inclusions, you were never overpaid.

We had a great experience traveling from Aswan to Luxor on the beautiful dahabiya Ika Dolly. Everything was just perfect from the moment we first got in touch with Egypt Best Vacations and had a very nice and helpful conversation with Abdul-Rahman Mahmoud to the cruise itself.
We had a friendly and kind staff on board and, most of all, we had the best tour guide, Essam, an egyptologist with a deep knowledge of the ancient egyptian culture, language and art and always willing to tell us about modern Egypt, too.
We enjoyed beautiful moments on the dahabiya, we had great food, so carefully cooked by a great chef, and had the chance to spend a night on the shore, dancing with the boat crew.
We also appreciated the interest and attention shown by Egypt Best Vacations to the people living on the Nile: the place where the dinner was held is owned by an old man, who gets paid for hosting us, and we also had the chance to meet Asmaa, a young woman who showed us her house and let us have a tea with her family.
We were told we would have a luxurious experience, but our cruise was way more than that.
Definitely suggested.

Egypt Best vacations really delivered and was able to design a tour where we were able to experience Cairo, Luxor and Hurghada in a five day period. Essam was very responsive to all communication to get all of the arrangements completed. The flight and ground transportation went smoothly and the tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour guide in Luxor went out of his way to find a local restaurant where we could get Koshari during Ramadan. Highly recommend Egypt Best Vacations!
