Luxor was definitely better than Cairo and worth spending a couple of days!! The city is much smaller and rescue you from the endless shouting and honking in Cairo, but definitely not short of places to see and visit: we went to Karnak Temple, Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens, Hatshepsut Temple and Luxor Temple. I recommend them all but would highly suggest you not to stuff all in one or two days - you will get tired and not able to fully enjoy the beauty of those paintings, architecture, religious stories, etc. You should start early in the morning too to avoid the crowd - extremely important for experience!!
We went on a private tour (5 of us) and were guided by Sayed Gamal, our favourite guide throughout the entire Egypt trip - he was extremely patient, always there to answer our questions or help us fend off harassment. He is Luxor local and knows a lot about the historical places. He also has interesting life experiences and I’m sure someone international would find a lot of connections with him. He was very accommodating to our needs as well and never said no to our requests. We became friends in the end and even asked him to come with us to Aswan (unfortunately he couldn’t)

I spent two full days with Luxor Egypt Tours and it was AMAZING! From the planning stages as I requested custom itineraries, Moh was extremely helpful in working out all the things I wanted to see, to my airport pickup with Minah and Salah, to my two full days touring Luxor East and West Banks and Abu Simbel with guide Rady and driver Salah, it was the absolute best experience I’ve ever had with a tour company (and I’ve done tours in over 100 countries). Salah and Rady both were incredibly professional and kind to me, often going so far as to stop for me to take random photos of gorgeous places and get me water and snacks without my asking. Salah’s driving was safe and efficient and Rady was incredibly knowledgeable about every so we made, as well as being the best photographer. As a female solo traveler, these gentlemen were truly kind and made me feel safe and like family!! Moh was literally ALWAYS available to me if I needed something via WhatsApp - no matter what it was, I even asked a question about how another airport in Egypt worked before I even got to Luxor and he answered me within seconds. So grateful for his help!! If you are looking for a tour/tour company in Luxor or anywhere in Egypt, I HIGHLY recommend Luxor Egypt Tours!! I cannot say enough great things about them!!! I originally booked one tour (Felucca Sunset Sailing) in Luxor with this company. My husband and I had such a wonderful time on that excursion with Mina that we felt compelled to cancel our other tour bookings for Cairo and rebook with Luxor Egypt Tours (and we are so glad we did!). Mina arranged for us to meet with Moh after we docked, who sorted every last detail for us. Moh made the entire process seamless with his professionalism and organization. The day tour in Cairo, a day trip to Alexandria, and a dinner cruise in Cairo completely exceeded our expectations—from the guide (Sam) to the driver (Mohammed) to the carefully curated itinerary! Sam also did a fabulous job taking pictures with multiple angles and poses (which we will treasure for a lifetime!). If you are looking for a professional, luxurious and flawless experience, I highly suggest booking with Luxor Egypt Tours.

Moh and Rady were phenomenal. I could not recommend highly enough. We had an inclusive tour including pick up from airport, 2-day tour of the East and West banks of Luxor including lunch both days and then also a sunset Felluca ride and drop off to the airport on the third day. Organising the whole thing could not have been simpler. I messaged Moh on whatsapp and he sorted the rest effortlessly and also provided a good price. Our guide Rady was excellent and made our trip enjoyable from providing an excellent history of the monuments to being easy to talk to and taking great photos. The whole experience was top class and the guys even provided a surprise cake on the Felluca ride as my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary.
If you want a guaranteed great time in Luxor knowing everything will go smoothly then Luxor Egypt Tours is the one to go for. Thanks for the great experience Moh & Rady.

Our tour guide, Mohammed Awad, picked us up at our hotel right on time and provided an in-depth and hospitable tour of the main sites on the west bank of the Nile. He shared his breadth and depth of knowledge of the ancient sites, ane scaffolded us on how to read hieroglyphics. In addition, he answered all our questions, activated prior knowledge and checked for understanding. Practically, he was very efficient when navigating the crowds during peak season — all while fasting during Ramadan. We were exhausted by the end of a long day, but he kept us engaged with his obvious passion for ancient Egyptian history!
We’d 100% recommend Mohammed. His pleasant disposition and professionalism was outstanding, and we wish we could have spent more time with him.

I highly recommend this company and their tours! I booked a last minute private Luxor tour (the night before the trip). And the company manager replied immediately and made a very customized trip for me in 10 minutes, with price was just regular price. Trust me, a responsive and tour guide or planner is a must have in Luxor!
The driver, Amir, was fantastic! He arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled time. He drove perfectly. During the trip, he waited for us patiently at every site and show up immediately when we arrived at the exit gates. So not a single minute wasted. Besides, he spoke quite good English, which made the trip quite comfortable. Nice guy!

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 days tour from Luxor with transfer company "Luxor Egypt Tours" in Egypt.
From the time we booked until the time we returned to our hotel, I can honestly say that "Luxor Egypt Tours" and especially our driver Salah Ahmed provided first class service.
Salah Ahmed was a great driver, guide and friend!
He gave us great information about the places we visited: Dendera Temple complex, Temple of Karnak,Valley of the Kings and Queens ,Luxor Temple,Queen Hatshepsut's Temple,Medinet Habu,Colossi of Memnon,
Due to covid restrictions our driver wore a mask throughout the entire route! Car was always clean, with air conditioned and comfortable for a long driving. We are very grateful,that throughout the route, our driver recommended the most interesting places for the best photos and was very helpful!
It was a perfect trip - the communication from start to end was clear and easy, we planed all our day like we wanted and in short time managed to visit all historical places in Luxor.
We would highly recommend "Luxor Egypt Tours" in Egypt!

I cannot say enough great things about this company and all of the staff we spent multiple days with on tours and getting around Luxor!
The Managing Director, Mohamed Mousa, was absolutely the best! He helped us throughout the process creating an itinerary for 3 days in Cairo and Luxor. All we had to do is tag along bc everything from rides to and from the airport to having private car each day was set up for us. The best thing about Mohamed is how much pride he takes in making sure your experience is excellent. We had a not so great 1st day, but Mohamed was quick to ask about our first day and when we told him our experience he went above and beyond to make sure the rest of our trip was great! I cannot begin to explain how much that meant to us and how much it made our experience that much more enjoyable. I’d also like to mention our tour guide in Mohamed Awad as well as Ramses and Hany. Mohamed was an excellent tour guide and we had a great time with him over two days and 7 hours each day. He’s very knowledgeable and also very kind. Hany was our driver during the day and he was funny and kind and was wonderful to be around. Ramses was our private driver and guide on some days and he was great! He took us to some local spots and we enjoyed hanging out with him and learning a little about local culture.
All in all I would 1000% recommend using this company during your stay anywhere in Egypt and especially Luxor. It will 100% make your experience better than you could have imagined! You may not think you need a guide but there are so many situations that we were thankful to have locals with us in order to get around without dealing with the hassles of worrying about transportation, parking, finding the right ticket offices, or getting through security checkpoints.

Everything was perfect and so easy. Great communication from the manager to begin with, and Ramses, our guide, later on. We were picked up by Ramses and he took us to the Felucca on the Eastbank. The cruise lasted just under two hours - it was a fantastic view of the Nile and the sunset. Ramses was a genuinely welcoming and down-to-earth host, and gave us advice after on where to go, what to do and how much to pay. Top guy!

I initially booked Luxor Egypt Tours for airport transfer only. This is where the superior service began. Shortly after booking, Mohammed reached out to let me know they offered tours too. I explained what I reserved and he was able to match the tours: balloon ride (although we didn’t get to go because the government canceled it due to high winds); tour of the west and east bank; felucca boat ride at sunset and horse & carriage ride at night.
We started with Moustafa, our driver, picking us at 2:30 am and dropping us off at our hotel. Moustafa was the best. We were there for about 26 hours and he was with us the whole time, ensuring we were transported to our destinations safely until he dropped us off at the airport at 4:30 am the next day. He was very friendly and made sure we had a great time, even when we weren’t on time, he was always there waiting with a smile and being accommodating to our needs.
Rady, was our expert Egyptologist who explained everything so well. He too was fun and looked out for shaded places, it was HOT, to give us details about what we had viewed or was going to view.
Mina, our felucca boat guide, was laid back like our sunset sailing. He was very peaceful.
I highly recommend Luxor Egypt Tours for airport transfers and tours. This was our first time in Egypt (Africa) and having one company to do everything in Luxor was very easy. Luxor Egypt Tours catered to our needs, made things easy and made sure we saw the highlights for our day in Luxor. Hello,
we’d like to have a tour of western coast of Luxor at 1/1 afternoon, maybe about 3 pm.
Because we are planned to arrive Luxor around then by a cruise.
I’m wondering that if you can suggest a plan for us (2 persons).
