I went through a thorough research of available options to find a suitable agent for our tour to Egypt. The obvious choice was to go with an Australian or maybe British tour operators wildly available on Internet. The issue has always been either excessive cost and/or rigidity of their programs.
I then came across Luxor and Aswan Travel, which allows to fully customise the schedule and content. After a number of email exchanges with Hany we arrived at a program I wanted.
We were looked after from landing in Cairo up to our departure back to Frankfurt. Always on time and with a smile. The level of care and assistance exceeded my expectations.
We were so happy to be guided through unbelievable wonders of Giza, Sakkara, Egyptian Museum and a number of other spots by Zeinab, competent Egyptologist, energetic and always smiling lady from Nubia.
From Luxor were looked after by another Egyptologist – Ahmed who showed us around countless treasures stretching up to Abu Simbel. Again, fully satisfied with his services.
A couple of rearrangements to our itinerary were facilitated by Hany at our request, always smooth even at a short notice.
Overall I would highly recommend Luxor and Aswan Travel to anyone planning to visit Egypt – fascinating country with unbelievable history and cultural heritage.

Luxor and Aswan Travel created the trip of a lifetime. From the very beginning, our reservation agent Hany was professional, courteous, flexible, and always available. We had all arrival information and itinerary details well before our trip which made for an easy start to our journey. Hany set-up a personalized tour for us based on what we wanted to do and see. 1 day in Luxor, 1 day Aswan, and 1 day Abu Simbel. We opted to book our own hotels and flights since we had points, but I highly recommend just booking through L&A Travel. We had issues with our flight the last day, and despite not booking this flight leg with them, they went out of their way to take us to the EgyptAir office to fix our flight.
Our transportation was a luxurious and clean SUV with a highly skilled driver, Moustafa who expertly navigated the hectic streets of Egypt - always with ice cold water available. We never waited more than a minute to be picked up at the conclusion of a site visit.
Our guide Mohamed is a friend for life. From the very beginning, he was fun, kind, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable. (He is also a talented photographer) He is clearly passionate about Egypt and its history and his enthusiasm and story-telling made for incredibly interesting visits to ancient temples and local markets. He knows everyone, and uses his network to build in little surprises not necessarily included on the itinerary. From horse carriage rides, to sunset cruises on the Nile, lunch at favorite local spots or Nubian village visits complete with henna.
If you want to experience authentic Egypt, meet incredible people, and come away with lifetime memories, book Luxor and Aswan Travel! They are simply the best.

As a stubborn or “independent” traveler by nature,
I like to do all the research and prefer to stay exactly where I want and do/see exactly what I want in my location of choice. For that reason, I normally strive to avoid “packages” or agency tours whenever I can as I’m not keen on compromising my itinerary to fit in with a group. I stumbled upon Luxor Aswan Travel when searching for a Dahabiyah to charter for our trip, and discovered their willingness to accommodate a “custom” itinerary so I gave them a shot to see what they could quote, and what a treat this was. Hany and his team took my exact itinerary, in its entirety and brought it to life! Filling in all the blanks that were too cumbersome to work out, like transportation from city to city, or arranging daily guides with Egyptologists. The care and attention to detail that we received was truly second to none. I’m ashamed to say, there were moments leading up to the trip that the whole thing seemed too good to be true. I had some trouble with down payment and the responses I was receiving were so accommodating, so timely, that I was nervous that the whole think might be some elaborate hoax but I was so very wrong. This is a first rate, highly talented and professional team and I can honestly say, I would never have been able to pull this trip off without them, at-least not without significant added stress/interruption. In summary, for the traveling control freaks out there that are convinced no one has the same standards you do for executing a finely tuned itinerary, you’ve met your match. Trust Luxor Aswan Travel, I sure am glad I did, and I wish they operated in more countries than just Egypt. They are 6 stars in my book.

We did a custom 1 1/2 weeks tour of Egypt, skipping Alexandria but visiting Dendera and Abydos instead, which I can highly recommend: Nowhere are the carvings more delicate than in Dendera, nowhere the colors more vivid than in Abydos.
With this company, we always felt in good hands, they were always in contact with us over WhatsApp to make sure we were doing good. The tour was split up between two guides in Cairo and from Luxor, both guides were very good. In Cairo we even had a little bit of free time in the afternoon, which I appreciated.

Luxor and Aswan Travel customized a wonderful itinerary for our honeymoon and I could not give a more enthusiastic review. They took care of all the planning, from arranging hotel reservations, admission to all the sites, and transportation by air, land and sea. We visited historic sites along the Nile between Cairo and Abu Simbel, and found time for a day trip to Alexandria as well. The itinerary was meticulously planned and managed to fit in everything we wanted to see. Nothing was left to chance as a staff of drivers, liaisons and our fantastic guide made sure all the details, big and small, were taken care of.
No matter how organized and professional a travel company is, the happiness of their customers is almost completely dependent on the guide. Luckily for my wife and me, we had the pleasure of being matched with Shimaa. She was fantastic! Shimaa was like having a genie that granted your every wish. No detail was too small and no request beneath her. She is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and really went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable, satisfied and happy. The goal of every tour company should be to ensure that their customers feel valued and cared for, and Shimaa made sure that we felt this every step of the way. Her restaurant choices were impeccable, she was overly generous with her time and money, she is an excellent photographer, and I hope that anyone who plans a trip to Egypt is lucky enough to have her as their guide. The professionalism of our point person, Hany, the drivers and most importantly, Shimaa all made sure that we had the trip of a lifetime. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day/3 night experience along the Nile, exploring the breathtaking sites and learning about Egyptian history from our highly qualified guide, Shenouda. His expertise as an Egyptologist truly made our experience unforgettable and meaningful. We would highly recommend that you request him!
Our interactions via email and text message with Hany at Luxor and Aswan Travel were very positive and responsive. We found this to be a trustworthy company and they fulfilled every aspect of the described itinerary.
The optional tours to Abu Simbel and Nubian Village were worth the added fees and the transportation arranged by Luxor and Aswan Travel was professional, comfortable and secure.
We chose a standard cruise, as our focus was on the experiences, with a lesser focus on the accommodations. We feel we got what we paid for in this aspect. The boat was not fancy in any way, but the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the showers had very good hot water. We had beautiful views of the Nile from our cabins and from the sun deck as we cruised along.
At the same time, the shower doors in both of our cabins did not close properly so water leaked on the floor. The food was mediocre but the dining staff were friendly. Bottled water and other soft drinks are an additional charge. We were on the A Sara.
Luxor and Aswan Travel arranged an experience we will always remember and would recommend to our friends. Shenouda was attentive to detail and we felt well taken care of. Hany was available throughout the booking process and through the end of our trip to answer any questions and ensure special requests were followed.

My husband and I traveled through Egypt for sixteen days via Luxor and Aswan Travel. It was a private tour with drivers and Egyptologist guides at different locations. We reviewed the company's standard itineraries, made a few changes based on what we did or did not want to see, then got a price quote from Hany El-Dosouki.
The trip was fabulous! Everything went smoothly and having a driver and guide made it so easy to be able to see more of Egypt than if we had tried to put together the various tours ourselves. Hany responded quickly before the trip, then checked in periodically to make sure that we were happy.
A driver that we had several times, Alaa, was an excellent driver in the melee that is Egyptian traffic and we had fun with him. He drove an 8 hour each way trip to Siwa and his music helped pass the time. Our guide for that portion was Mohammed Anwer, an excellent, knowledgeable guide, as well as a lot of fun, too.
We had two other drivers, for shorter distances, both of whom were excellent drivers. Michael Farah was our guide for Luxor and Aswan, including the Nile cruise. He is exceptional, and there was no question that he could not answer.
Zuzu, a woman, was our guide for the last portion of old Cairo. She is a big booster for women in Egypt and Egypt in general. She was pretty intense, but very knowledgeable.
All of the accommodations were very nice (more luxurious than we've ever had!), with the exception of the hotel at Siwa. It was a bit more of a guesthouse, being in a rural area. While the staff was nice, the room was freezing cold and other guests at the hotel noisy until late at night. In Luxor and Aswan's defense, they had not used this hotel previously, and our guide did his best to get the hotel staff to get the other guests be quiet. However, the majority of rooms was booked by a large group that they allowed to be noisy. At least we didn't have to drive the next day!
We really enjoyed the tranquility of the Nile cruise on the "Concerto," although the food was kind of bland.

My wife and I booked a 6 night trip of Upper and Lower Egypt through Luxor and Aswan travel and were very pleased with the decision. The booking associate would quickly give us price quotes for selected hotels (we had a list to choose from before we booked), and he would check in with us during our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. We were given a full itinerary of everything we would be doing each day, and the meals that were or were not included.
We were picked up at the airport in Cairo before we even went through Customs, and had absolutely everything that was agreed taken care of in a very professional manner from that part onward.
The Egyptologist guides were all outstanding and were able to answer our many questions. The guides really did make this trip special for us, and we are very appreciative for their passion and enthusiasm showing and teaching us about their country's history. Truly a wonderful and memorable trip!

We booked our Egypt tour in December with Luxor and Aswan Travel and worked with Hany who was always available to help and plan our trip and answer all our concerns.
Our Egyptologists for the trip were Ahmed Helmi Ali for the Cairo/ Alexandria leg of the trip, and Moustafa for the Luxor/Aswan/ Abu Simbel part. Both were outstanding and very knowledgeable in not only the subject of Egyptology but also well informed on other subjects as well. They took excellent care of us, whether it was getting us in the front of the line, making sure we took the best pictures or getting us the food/drinks we requested. They made sure we got to try delicious local food and suggested different places to visit outside of the main itinerary. They were always on their toes and ready whenever we needed help with anything or to ask a question.
Hany was easy to work with, flexible, and well-organized. By the end of the trip when we wanted to cancel one of the excursions, Hany took care of it immediately and refunded that amount. We were thrilled with their services and would recommend them to anyone wanting a fully booked trip where you felt safe and well taken care of.

When we started planning our trip to Egypt we decided to contact a couple of agents. Our friends had recommended Luxor and Aswan Travels since they had been very happy with their agent. After much research we decided to go with them because from the very get go Hany El Dosouki , their Reservations Manager was outstanding in his follow through and in answering our questions. He made sure all our needs were met and gave us great recommendations for our 3 day cruise on the Nile and on the different sites to visit. Moreover he assigned us 2 excellent guides - Hane and Jimmy. Jimmy was our guide in Cairo. He was very patient answering all our questions and had a wealth of information on the various sites we visited (pyramids, Sakkara, Memphis, Dashur, the Egyptian museum and the citadel and mosque). In addition to his knowledge he was very willing to take pictures and did a good job doing so.
Hane was our guide on the 3 day cruise. He too was excellent. He is a walking encyclopedia of temples and ruins. In addition to this he has a wonderful sense of humor and gave us good advice on tipping in Egypt. He too was patient and accommodating.
I would highly recommend this tour company for travel to Egypt.
Hane was our guide on the 3 day cruise. He too was excellent. He is a walking encyclopedia of temples and ruins. In addition to this he has a wonderful sense of humor and gave us good advice on tipping in Egypt. He too was patient and accommodating.
I would highly recommend this tour company for travel to Egypt.

The trip was amazing and you get your own personal guide. 5 days is definitely not too long, and I would suggest having a couple of days in Luxor before the trip. The pavillon palace hotel is totally awesome and very reasonable priced

Hello. My husband and I are visiting Egypt in mid October and would like to plan a cruise to Aswan and Luxor.
