If you go without a group, do it at your pearl.... You will be shafted at every turn and hounded relentlessly every 10 yards to buy things or take a ride on a camel. Every time you get into a taxi or want to buy something it's a negotiation and you ll probably end up being ripped off, taking a tour will avoid all of these things.
