I selected this stable in Giza because of all the glowing reviews which said "well trained horses, good guides, they match you with an appropriate horse, well cared for horses, etc." Their horses seemed healthy enough, but, I wouldn't say they're trained. Arabs are nervous horses by breeding but I have ridden plenty that were calm. The first horse they... More

Friendly family run business, very welcoming and safe (I was there as a female solo traveler). I chose to go ride in the desert for 3 hours with one other rider/guide from stables, and it was a great experience. Other option would have been to ride around the pyramids themselves (you have to pay for an area ticket of 80EGP... More

A sunset ride is a MUST at the giza pyramids, whether you are a rider or non-rider. There are many 'horsemen' touting tourists around the pyramids. But I simply could not endorse the way they treat the poor beasts - skinny and whipped often unnecessarily. After reading great reviews about FB Stables, i booked a sunset ride with them. I... More

The people at FB Stables came to my rescue after a harrowing experience with a dirty scam run by the owner of the Cairo Inn, one that ended at the wrong stables. (DO book with FB Stables, but do NOT stay at the Cairo Inn!) FB Stables went out of their way to make sure that my bad experience did... More

We booked FB stables for a 2 hour camel ride and 1 hour ATV tour. Overall, I was very satisfied. I had read that they had a rooftop terrace but we were the only people there that day and it was not quite the atmosphere I planned on. It has a great view of the pyramids, though we did not... More

I live in Egypt and know how things can be here, so I looked around and decided to use FB stables after seeing the glowing reviews on this very site, and I can safely say I was incredibly pleased with my decision. The guys at FB stables were fantastic and me, my mum and brother all had a great time... More

My family and I lived in Cairo in the 90's and one of our favorite activities was to spent weekends at FB Stables. We stabled our horses with them and spent countless hours both riding in the desert and drinking tea or soda and relaxing with a view of the Pyramids. FB Stables was like a second home to us,... Lovely Arab horses, well cared for, obedient. Excellent guide (Mohammed) - a true horseman, knowledgeable and charismatic. Fantastic way to see the pyramids too, and amazing to gallop in the desert, wide open tranquil space, away from the noise and hubbub of Cairo - such a memorable experience. Khalim (who picks up when you call/text the stables) is brilliant at... More

I make sure I ride every day at either FB Stables Giza or FB Stables Abu Sir during my business trips to Egypt. Wonderful horses and instruction. The ancient monuments are even more spectacular from the Sahara and the sunsets are amazing. It is well worth getting away from the tourist hotspots for the silence of the desert. It is... More
