Egypt isn’t the same without a good guide to share all of the history, their significance and what to look for amidst the trillion things to look at with throngs of tourists getting in your way. Our guide Ahmed Awad (gotta get the full name cause everybody’s a Ahmed or a Mohamed 😅) was exceptionally knowledgable, reliable, organized & funny. Gotta give the fellow extra thumbs up for great photo spots and ideas too! Kudos too to the tour agency for their lightning response time, superb reliability and fabulous precise logistics, saved us many a headaches if we had planned them ourselves. The drivers too were just such sweet people, it melted our hearts. I imagine the trip would have been chaotic & without such great flavors if not for Ahmed and the wonderful team at Jakada!

This was our third trip with Jakada. Jacob is the only tour director I will travel Egypt with. We are a small group, and occasionally want to change the tour schedule to accomodate a sudden interest. Jacob has ALWAYS been able to "make it happen." His guides are excellent, his drivers feel like friends, truly when we see Jacob we feel like we have come home.

Some of our trip locations were not listed on the drop downso I'm going to give an overview review.
We spent half the time with Mohammed and half the time with Azab. Both are wonderful people, very nice, and very knowledgeable. They both went out of their way to make sure we were happy and having fun, including making sure we had soda anytime we wanted. Our accommodations were wonderful, the hotel and cruise ship were nice. They made sure safety and fun were top priorities.
The drivers we had were great and made sure we were safe.

We spent 9 days with Jakada and it was amazing. Both guides Mohammed and Azab were very knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed getting to know them. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better time. Her birthday was yesterday and Azab made sure it was special for her.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a tour guide. I usually book group tours, but this time, decided that I wanted to have a more personalized experience. Coincidentally, I was referred to Ahmad, by two different whom don’t know each other. That’s when I knew he had to be awesome. He will work with you to put together the perfect itinerary for you, and make it very special. Although I reached out to him last minute, he made time to fit me into his schedule. He kept an open line of communication and picked me up on time. He arranged for me to go and do all of the things that I expressed I was interested in. He also suggested other places that I may like. He is very knowledgeable, and loves what he does!!! I couldn’t be happier. I felt very safe, and after this experience, a private tour guide is the only way that I’ll be traveling in the future. If only I could take him with me on my other trips!!!

Absolutely the best trip ever. Ahmed Fayed owner/tour guide of Jakada Tours worked with me to plan a tour for a group of 8 friends and family for over 10 months. He suggested an itinerary and add things I wanted to do. I have traveled internationally many times and this trip has moved to the top. This is a honest review.

I did a multi-day trip including Giza pyramids, Egyptian museum and Luxor west and East banks. I was very happy with service before and during my trip.
Communication during booking was excellent with rapid responses to all of my emails and queries.
Once I arrived in Egypt, it was completely stress free and travel within Egypt was seamless as I was met and escorted wherever I needed to go. All the cars were very comfortable and drivers were good.
The guides had very good english and were knowledgable (Abdullah in Giza/Cairo and Mohamed Sayed in Luxor). There was a good balance between guiding and having free time for pictures and relaxing.
Hotels were comfortable and well situated. The hotel in Giza had views of the pyramids and sphinx. The hotel in Luxor was next to the Nile and had a nice swimming pool.
It was easy to book extra activities at short notice (such as hot air balloon in Luxor). There were nice extra touches such as complimentary bottles of water.

I booked with Jakada Tours because I was looking for a safe way to travel Egypt at a time when coronavirus was improving but not totally gone. They offer a diverse array of private tours that allow you to avoid crowds and feel safe during this unique travel environment. Both our guides, Ahmed (Cairo) and Ahmed (Luxor) were very knowledgeable and flexible. All members wore their mask at all times and we arrived at most locations before big groups which is what I’d recommend.
We initially booked the cruise but later decided that we wanted something more fast paced and a little more freedom. They were flexible with us and changed our tour accordingly. Would definitely recommend Luxor as it’s essentially a giant open air museum that is unlike anything else and no Egyptian artifact at a museum can compare.

Ahmed fayed was very helpful and explained the history of Egypt in an interesting way. This was my first trip to Egypt and Ahmed provided transportation to many of the historical sights and I thought the cost of the tours were very reasonable. My group and I a fantastic experience.

We had a relatively complex set of events coupled with last minute changes by us
He handled them beautifully
Everything worked , was timely and with good people. We did Cairo , Giza, Alexandria , Luxor and Answan. Train, planes, boat , cars . 3 hotels 3 tour guides 22 ticketed events , meals, drivers . All fabulously organized to maximize our time

Planning on taking a trip with Jakada but they are wanting to have us pay a 10% deposit to a private email using paypal. Is that normal? We are booking flights privately and only using them for a guided trip once we are in Cairo.

Planning to use Jakada tours for 2 day trip from Cairo to Aswan & Luxor. 15% deposit is required to be sent to a personal paypal account, instead of Jakada directly charging my paypal account. Is this normal?

Yes this is how they operate in order to buy plane tickets and to make any other necessary bookings. I wired the money. It is legitimate.

we're looking at using Jakada; they requested a 30% deposit, which I'm fine with, but they want it via Western Union. a little leary of that. is that how you paid?

I paid when I was there but we didn’t take any flights to the other cities. They may need the deposit for flights? I would ask them what the deposit is for since some pay there and others pay in advance. They do use western union a lot there though. Hope this helps.
