Memphis and the Ramses statue was a seriously cool thing to see in real life. After seeing the photos and hearing about these things in textbooks, being there firsthand was amazing. I highly recommend seeing Memphis and Sakkara even though some of our guides suggested prioritizing other sites

Great to see this historical place. Ramses II statues, old pyramids. It's definietly worth the effort to get out there to see them.

Took photos and argued the toss on the way out. Drove over to Memphis which was a nice but very simple display but at a reasonable price. Met... More

Sakkara has the Step Pyramid of Djoser, and Memphis has the Ramses II sculpture. Both are most see sites!

We booked a tour to see both areas through BA, however the costs of going into the two areas are 40 L.E. and 80 L.E. Memphis is a small open air museum which houses some very well preserved statutes including one of the largest remaining Spinxs' and an amazingly preserved statue of Ramasses II. There are also a couple of... More
