You would never believe that this place used to be a garbage dump. Turned to this lovely park about 10 years ago, nice walks and even a lake. You could have lunch or dinner, drinks also available. Prices range from average to a bit expensive. Everywhere you have a view of old Cairo, especially, Mohamed Ali mosque and Cairo citadel.... More

The park has an entrance fee, which is only 20LE per adult, for those visiting from the UK that is less than £2. When you first enter the park, one of the first things you see are water fountains, which are really well laid out. The park has both shaded and open walkways which provide you with the option of... This place is quite big and amazing and suits big families, friend groups and even couples. There are wide public free areas and private chargeable restaurants that serve in airconditioned place and outdoors nice view seats as well.

This is a great park and entry fees are next to nothing. There is a play area for the kids but as there is sand around it, make sure your kids have the appropriate shoes. Drinks and ice cream is really cheap. It's easy to spend 2 or 3 hours here. The park is kept really clean.

The restaurant has a great Patio space overlooking the Al Azhar Mosque and the food is typically arabic with a great lemon mint cordial to help those extra calories go down, slightly more expensive that other places but worth it for the views

There is a car park at the main entrance from Salah Salem road and the side entrance from the larger Darassa parking at the northern end of the Azhar Park, accessible from Azhar street and as well from Salah Salem road. It was the... More
