The tour will be incomplete if you are in Cairo and don’t visit the Nile, probably the longest river in the world. You can see it if you are roaming in and around Cairo but better to have a close look by visiting the river....More

We did a 4 night cruise on the Nile - amazing. The solid change between the green near the river and the dessert was striking. We saw no crocs but did see cattle and other life stock grazing on islands of the Nile. Very peaceful.

A Nile River cruise is a great way to see a lot of the country and life along the Nile. Our Egyptologist - Friday - really made the trip as we visited temples and tombs along the way.

Visiting the Nile is most definitely a must. There is so much history and it is beautiful. All you can do is think about what life must have been like for them years and years ago.

As we arrived, our guide met us in the reception & took us to our room. First impression of the room is that feels very luxurious (having been on the massive sea cruises, with tiny bedrooms, this one felt very big). The toilet was well...More

How to describe a Nile cruise? First off, make sure you know what you're getting with your boat. They range from the 'Sudan', which is the poshest one, beautifully outfitted in full Death on the Nile rig, to (probably) ours, which was the MV Commodore....More

Cruising the Nile offers an inspiring experience whether on a river boat or a felluca. It is quite different from other rivers because of its historic background. Also, flying over it makes one understand its role as Egypt's lifeline, literally.

Doing a 17 day trip to Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Plane arrived at 2:20am entebee. I stayed at Kampala Suites. They sent a driver and he was right there waiting . When I got to hotel, Eric was waiting outside. Hotel was very good for the price and location. It’s right across from the mall. I are there at the outdoor restaurant many times and was great every time. There’s a parking lot right outside of hotel and glad to say nobody really bothers you selling you anything. No hassles. Kibale as a matter of fact is a true primate capital of the world. With its free ranging chimpanzees, you will have something to tell us tomorrow night. Bare in mind overcowdness in the forest, but the presence of Ficus and mimosops ripe fruits will help you easily see those chimpanzees. Congo is no safe. Find out before you cross the borders.

Egypt in Mid October 2015-Safety and Suggestions-Two females (36 Replies)
My sister and I plan to travel to Egypt in mid Oct, aka next month. Considering the tragic news story regarding tourists in the desert, we are getting mixed messages on the overall safety of the "tourist" areas in Egypt. I have done my research and realize there are areas that are restricted unless necessary. I have read several news articles and half say these tourists were in a restricted area with a tour company that didn't have the necessary docs and some say the tour company took all the...More

Starting to plan a trip to the middle east next December 2017, so plenty of time to iron out details and budget. But for now, having trouble deciding where to go. Definitely want to include Jordan in the itinerary. Have ~16 days in December 2017 to travel, and we like an ambitious itinerary. Traveling all the way from the states and would like to see as much as possible. Considering the following. Option 1 Greece-Athens only (2-3days) Turkey-Istanbul//Cappadocia//Ephesus (5-6days) ...More

I recently visited the middle east with friends and 5-7 days is a lot for Jordan. 4 days is more than sufficient with Amman one day/night, drive down to Petra next day early morning, reach Petra by 10, finish Petra during the day, relax at a Turkish bath at night, Visit Petra again very early in the morning - the sunrise is beautiful, drive to Wadi rum by 12, do a jeep tour and camp in the desert. Start on day 4 from Wadi rum and drive along the dead sea highway covering - Floating in the...More
