OK, I'll admit it. Dr. Ragab and I are long-time business associates and friends. In the last 10-15 years I have visited him and his Institute many times. If you want REAL papyrus, made the way the ancient Egyptians made it, then this is the only place to go! (Dr.Ragab's father is the scientist who discovered the ancient methods in the 1950s.) If you want an amazingly nice lunch, be sure to check out his restaurant at his Pharaonic Village.

My husband, my year and half son and I visited the pharaonic village in Cairo last week. We were very impressed with warm weather and the number of trees which surrounded the island, we were very happy to find a place in Cairo to breathe fresh and clean air. The entrance was a little bit expensive, but the informed guided tour was worthy. My son was extremely excited as he was able to run, play and enjoy the warm weather.
