I found Kemet Travel on internet and Montasser Simman and Nadine gave me all the information to organize our journey through Egypt.
I liked the idea to customize the trip: I personally chose and reserved all the hotels; Kemet organized the pick-up and drop-off service and chose very professional guides.
The first day we visited Giza Plateau and the Egyptian Museum. Our guide Hasan was great.
We took an overnight train heading to Aswan in the evening and
Kemet tourist manager, Nadir stayed with us until we got on it.
Kemet planned a felucca tour. For me, the only way to travel the Nile is slowly, on board a traditional felucca - egyptian sailing boat. This trip began in Aswan and it was my deep desire to travel along the world’s longest river and to catch the sunset light. This boat had toilet facilities and the price included tea with Egyptian sweets, lunch, dinner and breakfast.
Food was delicious and the trip was very relaxing. As I got sick the day before the tour, Selim bought exactly the food I asked for.
Our guide Samyara helped us to discover Kom Ombo and Edfu, and then Selim drove us to our hotel in Luxor.
We finished our trip in Luxor. We visited both west and east bank with guide Mahmood and had hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the ancient monuments. It was simply fabulous.
All the guides were prepared, professional and kind. Moreover, Kemet drivers were always on time.
Montasser and Nadine are always kind, they reply quickly via
email and WhatsApp. They did everything to meet our needs, even when I had last minute requests. I even forgot my iPhone in the car at Luxor and I realized only when I was at the train station, but eventually it was located by Montasser and Ahmed and everything went smoothly.
I wholeheartedly recommend this travel agency to anyone who wants to explore Egypt in safety and without stress.

You are the kind of person who avoids packaged tours and thoroughly researches your own travel. Right? Great!
I am just such a person when it comes to travel. Over the years I have travelled on six continents, frequently alone. But, now that I am much older, this latest venture had my friends worried. What! A woman going alone to Egypt?! Are you nuts? All by yourself? To Egypt for three weeks on your own?
Yes, I replied, reassuring them that I would not exactly be all by myself. I rigorously studied what I wanted to do, and then I was equally careful in looking for a travel company to put my plans into motion. I discarded ANY company with ANY sketchy reviews, and that's how and why I selected Kemet Travel.
From the immediate response to my very first on-line contact, I knew I was on the right track. And from that day onward, Kemet's owner, Mr. Montessor Simman followed up, and revised and redid and rescheduled every detail that I requested.
And I confess I made lots of changes as new options occurred. As one such example, after reading more about the temple at Abydos, I wanted to build it into the plan at the last minute. (Off the beaten track, simply fantastic, Wednesday if possible to coincide with market day en route). We also worked a schedule around getting passage on the beautiful Dahabiya Abundance, a 10 passenger houseboat sailing between Aswan and Luxor ...a truly memorable experience.
Almost without exception, all these elaborate plans ran like clockwork. Drivers appeared on time, reservations were as expected, guides were superb. Monty stayed in telephone contact with guides or drivers to resolve any potential issues, and I can't even count the number of times he acted as translator if there was a language question!
So yes, I went to Egypt alone for three weeks. But was I really all by myself? Nope! I journeyed with the help of an Egyptian company called Kemet Travel!

We booked several transfers and day tours in Cairo and Luxor with Kemet Travel. The owner is a very nice and trustworthy person and so is his team. They are quick to answer and easy to contact through Whatsapp. That made things easy with last minute requests. We actually had to postpone our trip due to sickness and they rebooked everything for us and refunded me for what had to be cancelled. Everything went smoothly and all the pick ups were on time. They even brought our suitcases onto the train!
The tour guides we had were very nice and knowledgeable. They all work freelance. We had private tours booked but I think the concept is understood slightly different as there is a tendency to run a "group-schedule" with you. I would recommend that you confirm the itinerary for the day with the guide to make sure you see everything you want and check what else the guide would recommend. There is certainly a lot to see in Egypt and Kemet Travel will help you organise your trip.

My first trip to Egypt was soon before Covid. I had searched the Internet for the most highly reviewed small travel company out there, and Kemet topped the list. They helped me plan and execute a myriad of details that time, and in almost three weeks of travel on my own all over the place, everything went off without a hitch.
When I decided to return to Egypt with a group of friends this year, of course, I immediately contacted my old friends, Monty and Randa at Kemet!
Once again Kemet was terrific! They attended to every item on the list, airport pick-up and drop-off, four different hotels in and outside of Cairo, tours, transportation, dinner plans, PCR testing…..you name it! One of the people in the group texted Kemet just before getting on the plane in New York, asking someone to stop at a drug store to pick up something she had forgotten. To tell you just how fabulous their service, Monty, the owner of Kemet, met her at the plane with the requested curling iron in hand! Now where does anyone ever get service of that calibre!!
Kemet is also great about responding to your wishes about the tour guide you will have. We all know that guides everywhere in the world are famous (or infamous) for taking you into shops where they make a commission. If you want to see sights rather than shops, tell Monty or Randa, and they will make this clear when hiring your guide.
All in all, after two trips with Kemet, I am pleased to tell you that this is one outstanding travel company. I don't yet have plans for a third trip to this wonderful country, but you may be sure that I will be calling my old friends at Kemet to take care of the details!

We booked a private tour where Nadier came to great us at the airport and made sure we were checked in safely. Esraa took us through Cairo, Giza and Alexandria. She did an amazing job explaining the sites and history behind them, she is also great at taking photos in the most unique places. Heba was our tour guide in Luxor and she showed us the city through a local point of view. She planned the days accordingly to our wants and needs. Sammeh was our tour guide in Aswan where he showed incredible hospitality. We got to see the major sites as well as fun activities. All guides went above and beyond to showcase their love for their country, the culture and the history. Each guide was very accommodating and flexible in terms of what you want to see and do as well as what they think is best for you. Merihan did and amazing job coordinating the trip throughout all the cities and with each guide. She made sure we were taken care of at each location. She joined us each mooring on the days in lower Egypt to give us a rundown of the day and even joined us on some of the days. Be prepared for the crazy and hectic traffic and if you get motion sick in cars. Bring bug spray or buy some there because the mosquitoes are very different compared to America. If you want to relax on your vacation make sure to add a few extra days because most of the days have a very early start if you want to see everything. Make sure to try the local falafel, koshari, ice cream and fresh sugar cane juice! Shopping is definitely a fun adventure, you will find similar keep sakes throughout the entire country. Overall we loved booking through Kemet because of the personal private experience and the incredible kindness and hospitality showed to us. We hope to visit Egypt again and hope Kemet expands their travel company to other countries!

My friend and I went on a 4 nights Nile cruise to Luxor and Aswan. We had a fantastic dedicated tour guide for us who guided us in Japanese. We enjoyed each visit to temples and sites with a deeper understanding of history after the visits. The cruise ship was decent with hospitable staff too. We felt that the quality of services we have received was much more than what we have paid for. I would love to join other tours offered by Kemet Travel also!

2 families of four people (2 adults and 2 teen age kids per family) from USA just completed a 9 night/10 day trip to Egypt with Kemet travels. The owner Mr. Montaseer is who we had been working with us on the itinerary and planning. We were extremely happy with the service that was provided to us. There was a Kemet agent at every transfer point of the itinerary. Starting from the day we landed at the airport to the day we left Egypt, we had either an agent or guide with us in our own private bus. The hotel and cruise accommodations were well arranged. Our tour guide Esraa Ahmed (Instagram @tourguide_egypt) was extremely knowledgeable with the history of the city. She was also a great photographer and very patient with us taking many pictures. She had some great spots for superb views and also some cool poses and options to capture the beauty of Egypt. Egypt is a beautiful country with so much history and it was amazing to see monuments that were built 3500 years ago! We felt extremely safe traveling around the country. Montaseer and team were always aviator answer our questions on what’s app during the trip. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The organisation and communication with Kemet Travel was easy and uncomplicated. The schedule of our Tour was very thought through and everything worked perfectly. The Felucca was very comfortable and spatious (even had a toilet). The food during the Felucca trip was also very good (also with vegetarian option if you tell the Tour operator in advance).
The only things that we did not like so much is that our guides on the Felucca ride did not give us any information on the schedules (e.g., when we are leaving, how long the stops will be, what time we will be picked up for our visit to the temples, etc.). We also weren‘t very happy with our Egyptiologian expert as she did not explain as much as we hoped and reacted rather unhappy about questions from our side.
All in all, we would recommend the tour if you are looking for a relaxing day on the nile and a visit to Kom Ombo & Edfu. However, we think that the tour is a little overpriced.

Kemet travel was a surprisingly positive experience when chosen for the two day trip to Mount Sinai and the Monastery of Saint Catherine. Constantly in contact and from the time of the pick up the two drivers Tony and Milet made sure that the client just relaxes and enjoys. The overnight at a Bedouin Camp in Saint Catherine was positive with basic but clean accomodation and delicious dinner and breakfast while the staff was welcoming with a smile and helpful. As for the guide Ahmed accompanying to the top of the mountain for the sunrise it was constantly worrying so everything would go smoothly and gave interesting information along the hiking. Our family of four had a wonderful 9 night/10 day trip to Egypt with Kemet travels. The owner Mr. Montaseer customized our itinerary and planning, for a perfect trip seeing all the highlights in Egypt ending with a relaxing stay in Hurghada & Red Sea . the service was excellent and the owner kept following up with the guides to make sure we were comfortable and there were no issues. There was a Kemet agent at every transfer point of the itinerary. Starting from the day we landed at the airport to the day we left Egypt, we had either an agent or guide with us in our own private bus. The hotel and cruise accommodations were well arranged. All our guides guided us to the best spots for pictures and took us to some great restaurants in Cairo. Egypt is a remarkable country with history that goes back to start of civilization. Seeing the monuments and temples, you are just amazed at the level of knowledge that existed at that time for the construction and also that advances they had medically. We were very appreciative that Montaseer made the effort to be there with the driver at 2:30 AM for our flight from Cairo to Aswan....he could have just sent the driver, but instead came and went into the airport to made sure we had no issues with the tickets or check in. We felt extremely safe traveling around the country. Montaseer and team were always available to answer our questions and respond right away to any requests. We only wish he also made arrangements to other countries as we would with hesitation use him again!
