Excellent shop to buy Egyptian art on papyrus. They give a brief demonstration of how papyrus plant is converted to paper. The staff are helpful and hospitable. The art on offer is far superior in quality than what is on offer elsewhere in Cairo. The prices are also higher. The price tags should be ignored. Bargain hard if you like something here and wish to buy it as a special memento as the staff are superb at negotiation.

Dropped by the Three Pyramids Bazaar on our day trip to see the pyramids. Lovely helpful staff, good info about how papyrus is made. Huge selection of paintings at good prices. We ended up buying 4! One was a HUGE 1.7 metre long papyrus of the final judgement. Staff rolled it plus the 4 others up in a tube and no worries getting them home to Australia. They look fantastic now framed and hanging on our walls.

There’s no lack of souvenir shops in Cairo and we chose the Three Pyramids Bazzar upon the recommendation of fellow tourists at our hotel - and weren’t disappointed. Nice selection of (along with fabrication demonstration) Papyrus as well as local made souvenirs. We bought several items plus a souvenir Scarab for the memories.

This is a scam! This shop is close to the Sphinx. The tour guide lied saying that this is a government department and all paintings are original with a certificate, which they are not!! They got 150$ for a piece that costs 10$ in other places. Be careful and share the benefit. You can have the same from the Egyptian Museum for 10$ with an original certificate.

Visited the store a few months back and have been trying to get my money back after realising they have charge me 2200 Egyptian pounds, rather than 220.

The salesman was far too gleeful for this to have been a mistake, on reflection. I believe he knew exactly what he was doing.

I won't trust these guys to give you the time of day.

Given a price for the one I was carrying around. After my credit card was charged, she switched to lesser quality item and said the one I carried around was more expensive. They are good at their scam.

I bought 3 painting and have gotten nothing but compliments. We purchased Ma’at and the last judgment (glow in the dark.)

Coming back to the stated, we got them framed and placed in our home. Everyone loved it. When we 1st got it framed everyone from the shop came out to view the glow in the dark. After explaining the scene to them, it wasn’t a surprise no one knew how much history America copied, the scale of justice)

It was a learning experience for the kids. The demonstration about how papyrus was made was short and interesting enough to make you want to buy. We bought the glow in the dark paintings only to find out that they don’t glow in the dark. Really dissapointed. The first pic is in normal light and the second in the dark.

Supposed to be a museum, but not really - it's a shop selling papyrus/paper products. But they do a very good demo and explanation of how paper is made, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

If you decide to buy something, don't hesitate to bargain for a better price, as we did with some success.

My guide offered a stop here as a "museum" but it is a shop with a brief demonstration of how papyrus plants become paper. However the artwork is much better quality (and expensive) than I saw elsewhere in Cairo. Do bargain hard and ignore the price tags, the staff are helpful but skilled negotiators. Good for a special momento.
