Found Tripster Egypt on Facebook and from the minute we connected I was well taken care of. Not only did Amr arrange two custom private tours for me - Cairo and Sharm el Sheikh - he also got me great discounts on 3 different hotels vs booking online, made sure I was met at the airport at night so I wouldn't be alone, and provided guidance during my whole stay. I don't think I've used any sort of agent in years to help with travel and I have been missing out. He met me in person late at night after my flight into Cairo to go over the details of my tours and make sure I was settled. The two tours themselves were great = both Moustafa in Cairo and Ibrehim in Sharm el Sheikh were prompt, knowledgeable, fun and funny, and made sure the experiences were memorable. I would definitely work with any of the Tripster Egypt team in the future and recommend for anyone who wants to have a personalized experience at an affordable price.

We booked this trip at very short notice. The team keep us informed of what we needed to take with us and pick up times and arrived promptly at our hotel in Sharm El Sheik at 9:15 pm. The drive took around 2.5 hours, but would have taken far longer if it wasn’t for our driver’s rapport with the guards at the check points throughout the journey.

We arrived at the car park at the base of Mount Sinai and after some good natured selling attempts by the local merchants we ended up buying torches for 1 USD each. Although we were walking during a full moon it was still useful at times. We were introduced to our local guide, Ahmed, who was taking us to the summit.

The walk is on mixed path from concrete, to sandy and finally rock. Trainers were fine to wear (some people do this walk in sandals and one group did it in heels apparently). We went on a Tuesday night and it was quiet which made far an enjoyable walk sometimes watching the stars in silence. We got out of breath in places, but Ahmed ensured there were plenty of rest stops.

After about 2.5 hours of waking we reached the top and had sometime to wait for sunrise. We did the climb in June and it was about 15 centigrade, so take something warm to wear.

Sunrise was a special experience. Thankfully it was relatively quite at the summit - I could imagine your experience could be spoiled if it was really busy.

We were leaving Egypt that day, so skipped the St Catherine tour and headed back.

All in all, a very well organised unique experience hosted by friendly, knowledgeable people.

I went to this 8 hour night hike with my wife and it was stunning. Ahmed the guide and the driver picked us up from our hotel and took us to the base of mt. Sinai. A Bedouin village guide took us to the summit in about 4 hours stopping in between as required. The view from the top is breathtaking during sunrise. The Bedouin guide was skilled in taking photos and took great pictures of us. We came back down to the monastery at 8:40am as planned. The monastery opened at 9am and we headed back to the hotel at 9:30am. We had a flight at 2pm so the driver drove faster to cover 150km in 2 hours. Overall Ahmed took great care of us and I would recommend this tour with tripster.

Avoid company at all costs. I decided to take a chance and booked a private tour in Aswan for the Nubian village, lunch and sunset felucca ride even though there were not many reviews for this company. On their site they had this as a night time tour ($30 usd pp for a 6 hour tour) but since we were booking a private tour, I asked if this could be arranged so that we can enjoy the felucca ride during sunset instead, they agreed but for $40 usd pp. I didn’t mind paying a little extra since I was tailoring this tour to my schedule. What I did not appreciate was a very rushed tour, it is advertised as a 6 hour tour and our tour was 3 hours. I’m very flexible and did not need a 6 hour tour but 3 was extremely rushed. We had 30 minutes to walk around the village. And our felucca sail ride, we were being pulled around by a motor boat and had NO view of the sunset which was the whole purpose of me organizing this tour. They said there weren’t enough winds but there were plenty of feluccas sailing around us that were not being pulled around by motor boats. The only saving grace was the the food at the katodool was very good, though we waited a long time for it to be prepared, I wish we knew that it would’ve taken a long time then we could’ve used that time to walk around the village and not have wasted time. Nonetheless, this tour was very disappointing and unorganized. I would not recommend.

This trip was amazing! The trek up the mountain I would say is moderate in difficulty but worth every bit of it! This trip is a definite Must do!

I went snorkelling and was a little nervous but they looked after me 100%
They boat wasn’t packed so plenty of room to stretch out.
Food was lovely and hot.
Would definitely recommend it as a fab day out

This trip was awe inspiring. The pick up was at 9 pm at our hotel and we traveled by private car ( taxi) to St Catherine's and then on to the base of Mt Sinai. We there meet our local bedouin guide to take us up the mountain. My wife and I started the walk up but eventually realized it was more than we could do in a reasonable amount of time so opted to take camels up the trail. They were reasonable I felt at 50 dollars USD and we were up at the head of the trail in an hour and a half.
The last 750 steps to the top are a hard climb in the dark with slippery uneven steps and thin air at that altitude. You must be fit to do the climb. In our mid 60's my wife and I made it about half way but turned back. The sun rise from the base was just as awesome and beautiful as from the top even if we saw it about 2 to 3 seconds latter.
Nothing should stop you from making this trip though. It was wonderful and worth every effort. After sunrise we walked back down to the monastery, about 2 hours, and met up with our guide again to continue the tour. We spent about 45 minutes in the monastery seeing the chapel, the burning bush, and Mosses' well. The greatest thing I took away from this tour is the ability of Christian's Jew's and Muslim's can all come to this same holy ground and pray side by side in peace. It gives me hope for all the childern of God to live in peace. This is a must do experience and tripster did a wonderful job

This trip was amazing , the staff were very professional and friendly, we are an older couple who went with my teen granddaughter and her boyfriend . With being disabled I was a bit worried in case I wasn’t able to make it but you have a 24 hour window to cancel for your money back . We found it wheelchair accessible which was great for me and the younger ones being a bit more adventurous loved the whole experience.it was our first time in this area of Egypt but was one of our favourites and would highly recommend the trip with this company . We were perfectly looked after by the guys and water etc was offered regularly . Thankyou for a lovely time and we will definitely use your company for trips , it was awesome to know that insurance was in place

Everything pre-booked and paid through Tripadvisor and no one has come! Absolutely not recommended! Let's see if we can at least get the money back.
