I have been fortunate to travel to many places around the world, however I don't typically write reviews, unless the experience is beyond imaginable. I was hesitant to travel during the COVID 19 pandemic, but we learned that Egypt was open for traveling. My friend found this company that was highly rated online and we started communicating with them along with another company in Cairo, customizing an 8 days private tour of ancient Egypt, which included a Nile Cruise, but also unique places such as Abu Simbel. This company was so responsive to our many questions, and there was not a single reply indicating they could not accommodate our many requests, as unique as they were, which included visiting additional tombs in the Valleys of Kings / Queens, and off travel path sites. Ibrahim and Ash were our guides, and they were patient and very knowledgeable. I felt safe during the entire trip. The food was incredible. I was able to buy unique gifts. I will always remember this trip, so far the best experience I have ever had. I came back home in love with Egypt and its people. If you have ever wished to travel there, please do yourself a favor and start planning with this company, you won't regret it.

Let me start by addressing concerns regarding traveling during COVID-19. Let me allay your fears. I was moderately concerned giving the continuing pandemic around the world but I always felt safe and taken care of while in Egypt, and particularly by the staff/personnel at Your Egypt Tours. From the drivers to tour guides, hotels, and government officials at tour sites, there was very good compliance and encouragement of social distancing and mask usage. Now some tourists may not abide by those rules consistently, but that is true anywhere else in the world. But you definitely get a sense the Tourism Industry and Health Officials in Egypt take COVID seriously, and are trying to strike a delicate balance between safety and the realities of day to day economic stability. They have been exemplary in my humble opinion. Miss Mona Hamdy at the Home Office was extremely responsive to questions/concerns and open to suggestions/recommendations throughout the planning and during my tour. You could not ask for more! I was basically on a customized solo private tour with my own driver, tour guide, and modern/very comfortable coach each day. I always felt safe and well taken care of. So I was very much reassured. So for me it was closer to 10 day tour with a stop in Alexandria as well. My expert Egyptologist guides in Cairo, Mr. Mamdouh Ismail, and in Aswan/Luxor, Mr. Ashraf, were excellent. Besides being extremely knowledgeable about the history of the relics, they both explained in great, at times in humorous details what was clearly before your eyes, but often unnoticed to the untrained eyes as well. On a personal level, they were both very humble and modest individuals, and we often shared anecdotes about our respective families. That level of personal attention really rounds out and can make a great experience exceptional. I highly recommend to ask your guides for local restaurant/food recommendations during your trip--way better feasts than what you will get at your western hotels, and much less expensive. However a BIG SHOUT OUT to Sayed at The St Regis Hotel, whom makes excellent cocktails (especially a negroni)! I will definitely be back as 10 days is barely enough time to just see the highlights Egypt has to offer. On my next trip a few musts: Abu Simbel, Dendara & Abydos, Valley of the Queens, Bahareya Oasis, and Sharm El Sheikh.

Our trip to Egypt with Your Egypt Tours was wonderful despite the fact that it was during COVID-19. Mona Hamdy planned every detail of our itinerary very efficiently. Ahmed the company representative handled every aspect of our arrival in Cairo and departure at the end of our trip. We always felt safe traveling with our Egyptologist guides Mamdouh in Cairo and Alexandria and Ashraf in Upper Egypt. They were both very knowledgeable about their country and its history and they did everything possible to meet all of our needs and provide us with a truly memorable journey.

Everything was seamless from the start. Mona and Ahmed have been absolutely prompt in replying to my many queries. Ahmed even picked up my call in the early morning to assure me that everything is in order. The company has sent Mamdouh, an exceptional guide during my two days in Cairo. He is knowledgeable, friendly, honest and brought me to the most amazing place for a traditional Egyptian lunch. He wouldn't even let me pay for the lunch or tea the next day. They have been absolutely accommodating with my requests and sorted the accommodation and place for me to do covid test as well for my return to Dubai. A lot of my friends who visited Egypt told me to be cautious as most of them have been forced or hinted by their tour guide to give more than 20% tips after the tour. My experience with Mamdouh? Absolutely pleasant. I gave him the tips and expecting him to give me a signal whether that is satisfactory as he provided such brilliant service but guess what? He didn't even look at how much I gave him and said "thank you for being a great company today". I left Egypt with great memories and a friend. Yes, you do pay a little bit more than other tour agencies in Cairo but the level of service is top notch and by the end of the day, you get more than what you paid for. I highly recommend anyone to use The Egypt Tour.

We originally booked our tour for travel in April, and Your Egypt Tours (and especially Mona) were extremely accommodating, understanding, and helpful in rearranging our travel plans and dates due to the pandemic. We were very pleasantly surprised by the ease of traveling during this time, especially through the Cairo airport and with the help of our airport representative Ahmed in September. We felt safe the entire trip, with all accommodations and tourist sites having high safety and sanitation procedures. Additionally, we saw very few other tourists at the tourist sites, which was quite a unique experience to have the Giza pyramids and the museums virtually to ourselves! Our egyptologist, Ibrahim, far exceeded all expectations, providing an amazing overview of Egyptian history, taking the time to explain each site and artifact, patiently answering all our questions, taking us to "local" places to try authentic Egyptian food, and overall just providing a very well rounded, educational, and exciting tour! Ibrahim also spent much time arranging us to receive appropriate COVID-19 tests prior to departure and ensured we received our results within time, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, we felt incredibly safe having our own driver, Ash, and private security to accompany us the entire trip. We could not have asked for a better trip or a better time to visit Cairo and Alexandria and highly recommend other travelers to consider traveling during this time for a safe and uniquely private experience!
