I did some packages with Memphis Tour and I had different experiences.
My first deception was the way that they negotiate. The first day they obligated us to pay the last tour, but we had already paid all the others four tours.

Memphis tours was professional with top accommodations. They were always on-time, very accessible if issues arise. Egypt is a wonderful place with amazing history. We have beautiful memories from our trip. We highly recommend Memphis Tours!
I've done the research, I've checked airfare and I've been emailing Memphis Tours back and forth about one of their specific tours for my trip. I'm planning on booking everything within the next few weeks, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything. This would be my first trip to Egypt, so I decided to go with a tour company (as well as because I'm a single female traveler and am a little nervous about that). The flight to Cairo is going to be long and include two layovers, but I've...More

Yes, you need to make sure you have insurance in case you need to cancel for any reason, family illness for instance, and also make sure you have cover for a medical emergency. It would also be nice if you could be sure that money you pay over now is protected if the recipient goes bust. All the usual considerations. I would suggest you repost this on the Luxor forum for additional thoughts.
Memphis Tours and Castaract Resort Hotel (1 Replies)
Hi. Has anyone used the services of Memphis Tours before? I've had a quote from them which looks pretty good. Also has anyone stayed at the Cataract Hotel? Is it good or bad?

Better way to see Petra, less car time???? (2 Replies)
Hi and thanks for any ideas: My proposed tour (Memphis Tours) is suggesting this itinerary to visit Petra/Jordon. It seems like an awful lot of car time with back and forths to Amman. Is this the "normal" or is there a more efficient way to visit these sites in a four day trip.: Day 8 : AmmanTour Saturday After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for flight to Amman. Upon arrival to Queen Alia Airport our representative will meet and assist you through the...More

Um Qais (well worth seeing!) is north west of Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo and the Dead Sea are a short distance to the south west. Petra is three hours drive from Amman to the south. As you see, these are in a half circle (more or less) around Amman, and there is no really easier way to get to the three of them. Personally I would have advised Memphis to base their clients at Madaba rather than Amman with its horrific traffic jams, but this is not my decision!
Memphis Tours in Jordan (6 Replies)
Has anyone had experience of Memphis Tours to Petra, Wadi Rum or the Dead Sea? I've read loads of glowing reports about their operation in Egypt but nothing of their Jordan tours. I was thinking of using them when our cruise ship docks in Aqaba for 2 days in April and would be very happy for any feedback! And any other recommendations also gratefully received.

Private Tour with Memphis Tours in Jordan (6 Replies)
Has anyone taken a private tour with Memphis Tours in Jordan? I was looking at them for my tours in Jordan and Cairo, Egypt, but I haven't found any reviews for the Jordan portion of the tour. There are a lot of reviews of the Cairo tours, which look positive.

They organize combined tours for Egypt and Jordan so the reviews are general reviews for the services they provide in Egypt and Jordan
