Please be very wary with EXPLORE TRAVEL & CRUISE. Paid a deposit of £700.00. Because of Covid-19 virus and lockdowns until April 2021 I asked to cancel and get a refund for deposit. Blatantly said no, that advise was to wait nearer time to see if cruise would go ahead, but full amount was due to be paid in January!!!! Imagine if I had paid the full amount of £2,498 certainly have very little faith or truth that I would have been given my full refund. PLEASE BE VERY WARY OF THIS COMPANY EXPLORE TRAVEL & CRUISE - ALSO UNDER Vrbo - Linda Velcic ( owner) UNDER CANCELLATION POLICY SAYS 100% REFUND IF CANCEL 60 Days before check-in. MIS-LEADING & NOT TRUE. PLEASE BE WARY!!! NOT ABTA COVERED!!!!!

Me and my wife chose her at the recommendation of our tour guide and did not regret it. The ship is definitely not five star as she claims but a decent four star facility, though having seen better times. Our cabin was comfortable, rather spacious, with large windows one could open, clean, with a nice bathroom, TV, wardrobe, two armchairs and other small things. It's worth mentioning, however, that in these covid times they would not make it up automatically, so do call the reception and ask for this service (in our case the staff did not warn us about it in advance, by the way). An extra electric tee socket in your suitcase would be useful - in-cabin ones are scarce. Their food was very nice and lavish, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner (take-outs were not prohibited). All liquids, though, except for morning juices, tea and/or coffee, were served at an extra price, all in paper cups (covid again). Cutlery was also plastic - for the same reason. The cruise as such was very nice and well-calibrated. All world-famous sights could be visited in no rush and at appropriate timing - sometimes even in a "carriage" (I'd rather call it a buggy). We had an excellent private local guide beside us so everything was even better. The weather this November was very nice - sunny but cool. We kept our windows open practically round the clock (when we were in) and it was gorgeous to feel light breeze from the river at night. A shame was that they did not place a single bottle of water in cabins. Moreover, they charged almost TEN (!!!) times the price at a local shop so we, indignant at such an extortion, bluntly bought the stuff in Aswan (they allow you to bring it to their restaurant). There was also no chance to obtain "in-door" wi-fi even if you paid for it, it was available only in a lounge and at an absolutely exorbitant fee - per gadget, per day - and coverage was not at all guaranteed! So better buy a local (data) sim-card - it will be at least three times cheaper. But, whinging aside, the trip was smashing - no-one at the sights, we were always the only ones to anchor, just one ship instead of up to ten, no diesel smell, no elbow-working. Like in ancient Egypt. Thank you, covid hysteria! Fear sees danger everywhere.

Part of a TripADeal tour would not of chosen this cruise if doing independently. Room 220 level of foyer. 4 nights. I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star cruise as listed on itinerary. Old looking and in need of refurbishment. Boats are moored 8 deep and to get to your boat you walk through the foyers of all the other moored boats until you get to yours. Very funny I thought. The boat has 4 levels. Restaurant lower level, level 2 foyer and rooms, level 3 rooms and bar with a couple of tiny gift shops and top deck small pool, bar undercover and open air seating. Plenty of deck chairs and tables and chairs to sit on. They also provide beach towels. All meals are supplied. But did find many people very greedy on a boat and staff didn’t top up some of the foods. Once it was gone it was gone. That happened a couple of times when we got back from a tour late, food was cold and only bits and pieces to choose from. Also it is 1hour seating only and once they are ready to clean up they ask you to leave. You cannot take your own drinks into dinner then must be purchased. Prices are reasonable. Tea and coffee is only free at breakfast. Many of the pastries seemed to be a day old. They had entertainment in the bar each night but didn’t attended, did hear they were pretty good by others on our tour. You have to pay 150 Egyptian pound a day for internet and it works best in the foyer not in your room where you want it. So you don’t share they enter the password and if you want to swap with someone they disconnect and reconnect - only 1 person on at a time. The room is a pretty good size. Ours had 2 large very hard singles beds. A 2 seater lounge by a window that opens as well as a chair and coffee table. There is a fridge. We had to disconnect the fridge so we could connect our power pack I think the only free one was above the mirror in the bathroom. The bathroom shower was tiny, had to leave the door open otherwise couldn’t wash properly. The hairdryer was one of those ancient boxes attached to the wall with the plastic coil attached to the head, 1 speed only. Towels are grey not clean looking at all probably washed in the Nile! Some nights the cruise sails at night other nights moored. Only our 2nd short cruise cruise and I’m convinced I don’t like them. I’m not the relax and sit around do nothing type of person. Will never choose a holiday with a cruise again, it’s not us.

Boat excellent, staff exceptional. Food good. Cabin comfortable but saw too much of it as unfortunately I didn't see the step hidden in the AstroTurf on the deck and broke my ankle on the second day of the cruise. Tarek our Egyptologist took care of everything, the crew were fantastic and carried my wheelchair to disembark to visit the sights. However I discovered that the step had caught many out but the ship owners had done nothing to highlight the step. A white line would catch the eye. No alcohol involved!
