It is one of Fatimaid's Cairo gates. Known to the locals by Bawabat El Metwali. The area around us so historic but unfortunately needs a lot to be done. Still ur is very interesting

Next to the mosque, the entrance it's not inside the mosque. 30 egp will let you climb a minarete and have the view of the area and other minaretes, pretty good, the area will give you a rest from the "guides" around.

Absolute treasure, best views over Cairo I've seen during my visit. Very easy to combine with a visit to the souks. Not for people with fear of heights though.
