A good jjimjilbang to visit where you can enjoy various sauna rooms, have a snooze, a good scrub by the ahjummas (pretty ruthless!), hot and cold baths, and some hard boiled eggs and sikhye (similar to barley drink).
Just be totally ready to get naked. Strut your stuff confidently and you'll do fine. It was definitely an eye-opener for me and my family because we have never been naked in 'public' before. Started off with silly giggles here and there... after a while, we were like pro.
Plus point : Easy access. Approximately 15 minutes leisurely walk from Seoul Station.
Travelled to Seoul in Sep 2019.

great service, centrally located, numerous pools with muds, and medical salt water etc, then numerous sauna rooms with salt, with rocks, with aroma, a cold freezer room to chill, plenty of resting areas with beds to rent etc, great food and drinks. loved!

First off - like many reading these reviews, i was hesitant because of the no clothes policy in the sauna. However, after taking the plunge, i found it very liberating. It was a non-issue after 5 mins and you begin to enjoy the experience instead.
Instructions were easy enough to follow and even though the staff did not speak english, they were able to guide me when i looked lost.
The 5 floors provide much variety and i can see why this is a popular option for overnight layovers for foreigners.
Make sure you get the scrub at the sauna. Definitely well worth the price.
I paid 11000 for entrance and 15000 for the body scrub. I visited on a weekday afternoon so it was definitely not crowded.

We had a good body scrub and massage. They really scrub the whole body, did facial mask and wash our hair.
Didn't know I had so much dead skin 😅. Skin feel refreshed. Be aware that you will be fully naked in the spa 😂😂😂. However male and female is saperated.
Enjoy!

A nice way to experience what the locals do at the sauna. Admission was cheap. Place was clean and they offer many different types of rooms- hot, warm and even an ice room. There's also a massage parlor, a manicure corner, hair salon and a restaurant too. Must try the Korean rice drink which is very good. Children are welcome too. I definitely preferred here than Dragon hill spa which is too touristed.

Arrived around 9 AM after a very early arrival at the airport and dropping off my luggage at my lodging. Super reasonably priced (11,000 KRW) for full access to baths and fomentation rooms.
- Pay when you walk in and hold on to your ticket.
- You get two towels (hand towel size) plus the spa shirt and shorts.
- Take off shoes and put in locker. Take that key to the counter with your ticket and get another key for a locker.
- If you want to lock up valuables, give them your stuff and they will give you a second key.
- If you are going to the baths downstairs, take off all your clothes and put them in the locker. If you are just going to the fomentation rooms or sleep areas, put on the spa gear.
- Segregated baths are downstairs. Keep one towel in the locker so you have a dry one.
- Bring a rubber band to put your hair up if you are going to baths. Hair in the baths are a no-no. If you forgot to bring one, use the key holder or wrap one towel over your head.
- You need to shower before getting into the tubs. They have bar soap at the showers, but you need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. You can buy small sample packets of these if you forgot (at the counter where you got the locker key).
- Soak in the various tubs--some are super hot, and there is a a cold one as well.
- If you want a body scrub, soak for at least 30 minutes total.
- Body scrubs are 20,000 KRW. They are in a room next to the baths. The ajummas in the scrub room will ask if you want other services, like a massage for 100,000 KRW. I told them no. One time the ajumma asked me several times and seem annoyed I didn't want one. I finally told her I didn't bring that kind of money with me. The second time I sent, they only asked once. You can pay for the scrub when you go back up to the lockers.
- I didn't have to wait for the scrub. The ajummas are fast and efficient.
- Be prepared to be amazed at how much dead skin and dirt come off of you.
- I went twice in my week stay and got body scrubs both times and loved it.
- At the end of the scrub, they will scrub you up with soap. Rinse off at the showers.
- You can go up and dry off and put on the spa shorts and shirt and wander around the rest of the place (and pay for your scrub).
- There is lotion, Q tips, and a blow dryer for you to use if needed.
- There is food on other floors, sleep rooms, fomentation rooms, massage chairs, meeting areas, and more--I didn't even get to explore the whole place before I left.
- If one of your towels is still dry, you may want to bring it along with you to the other floors.
All in all, a rejuvenating experience. I would definitely come again if I ever find myself in the area. I saw lots of local women, as well as some foreigners, enjoying the spa.

Place is abit seasoned. Very traditional and signs are self explanatory. If you need excessive English translation, don’t suggest to come here. If you have been to a sauna before, this is recommended.

This is a true Korea spa. Great relaxation. We paid extra for the scrub and Emperors treatment. Well worth the 100$. We left feeling so relaxed. Plan to stay for hours and enjoy. I went back one more time before we left Seoul.

This jjimjilbang was awesome! After reading reviews about predatory pricing at other popular bathhouses we chose Siloam. Even our cab driver recommended Siloam as the better choice!
The baths were relaxing, with the mugwort being my favorite, and the scrub was rejuvenating. My skin has never felt so silky and I regularly moisturize and exfoliate at home! After an hour in the baths, my boyfriend and I met up in the common areas to lounge on the mats before trying a 60-min massage. We definitely got our money and time’s worth! We wandered around and enjoyed snacks at the cafe before checking out the kilns. My boyfriend took a nap in the oxygen room while I rolled around in loess sauna. You could easily spend a whole night or half a day at this jjimjilbang (they even have a nap room). 10/10 would recommend and will return to next time we’re in Seoul!

Hi, is your service (sauna and massages) available right now? If so, when are your opening hours? Is it necessairy to make a reservation for a massage?
Thanks a lot ;)

Which services can you get here without being naked? The reason I asked is because I may be on my period when I go there. Thanks, I appreciate any helpful detailed answers from my fellow TripAdvisors.

As long as you wear a tampon, I see no reason not to do the other services as well. I went to the baths and got a body scrub while on my period. Just make sure you wear a fresh tampon with the appropriate absorbency level (so you don't leak) before heading to the bath/scrub area and to tuck the string inside your body (not hanging out for all to see). Then use a fresh tampon after you're done in the bath/scrub area. I had no problems with this.

Do we need to prebook for overnight or is there usually always space available?
Steve H
Baltimore, MD11 contributions
they don't take pre-booking since they can not even designate any particular spot for the clients. its a huge 5-floor sauna / jjimjilbang. Beside the basement and first floor, you can sleep pretty much anywhere you want on the open floor on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. if you want a more private sleeping area, on the 5th floor, there are rooms with "cubical" spaces. Some of them even have curtain for better privacy. Those rooms are gender separated (male and female room). Still, there are open area on the 5th floor if you want to sleep together as different gender couple. They even have one particular room for those "snorer"!! Oh on the 4trh floor, there is a movie room and they play some good movies. check the schedule on the billboard outside that room. Enjoy your stay!!!

Are you required to be nude when visiting the spa?
Steve H
Baltimore, MD11 contributions
Yes you are NOT allowed to wear ANYTHING in the shower area. that's rude. However, after you clean yourself up, you are NOT allowed to go to the public area nude, except locker rooms. You will have to wear the clothes they give you if you purchase the jjimjilbang. However, if you only purchase "sauna", you can only use locker and shower facility, and they won't give you the clothes. In this case, you can not go upstairs with your own clothes, nor can you go naked.
Hope this answers your question.

If I am an international travellor with large luggage, is there a place to store my luggage while I experience the spa?
Also, what are the hours for seshin *body scrub)

Hi!
Yes, there is a room to store luggage, however there is no lock for that, there are lockers for your valuables though! It is big enough to put a backpack!
As for the hours for body scrub I am not too sure, but I noticed that the services for manicure and massage are not 24hrs:)

It is 24hrs open but not a hotel type. It is more like a rest house. I was here between my flights ( 8hrs) and had a very nice relax time.

Unfortunately, no. It's near Seoul station, not the airport.
