About
Hotel to hotel pick up & Drop off. Very private DMZ SPY TOUR including JSA. Only DMZ tour in Korea in terms of visiting, story-telling and travelling comforts in a exclusive atmosphere. Expert guide escorts you along the infiltration route of 31 North Korean commandos, who invaded to the backyard of Blue House to assassinate then S Korean president. Travel over various evidences of their military maneuver to the point, where they first penetrated fortified S Korean DMZ fence. Then, go inside S Korean army DMZ camp and face DMZ field itself two steps away and walk up along the DMZ barbed wire fence line as if you are also patrolling the DMZ. You also see N Korea DMZ military post from here. It would be a very real and eye-opening experience. Then, enter JSA to experience more of the continuing conflicts between two Koreas. En route, you look across river border a North Korea village from N Korea-closest observation post. Arrange North Korean Style Duck BBQ. Vegetarian /Halal available

Here you feel like the add advertises: a spy :), here you are literally seeing tunnels, bunkers, old unfinished or destroyed bridges, locomotives brought to an extinction and old train lines at the bottom of the valley where once upon a time these two countries used to communicate.

Is intriguing as you really don not see or grasp what is going on here at night or on a daily basis. Definitely the mayor question is: how long this cold war or cold peace will last. So far from the other side, yet so close.

It is definitely a tour you shall not miss as it is history into the making and it is important to see up close and personal what humans can do to bring themselves to a stop on relations and the fragility of it all.

Highly recommended.

Our guide, Shrek was incredibly friendly and thoughtful in planning out our itinerary for the day. He kindly rescheduled our day trip due to a military exercise, and made changes to the itinerary due to bad weather on the actual day, ensuring that we were able to see as much as possible. The car was comfortable, he prepared hot packs and masks for us, brought us for yummy lunch, and was so knowledgeable about everything DMZ. All we had to do is show up!

We had an exceptional experience with Global Tour Service in Seoul (via Ocean Travels Kuwait). The service was impeccable, and especially Mr. Shrek who went above and beyond to ensure our trip was smooth and enjoyable. From knowledgeable guides to seamless logistics, every detail was well-managed. Highly recommend for a stress-free and delightful travel experience.

Some places we visited for your reference: notably the king palace, Pocheon Art Valley, namsan tower, lotte world and shopping mall, Everland, Nami Island, Herbs Island, some traditional markets to live the full korean experience ❤️🇰🇷

While visiting South Korea, I decided to take a DMZ/JSA tour. I selected this particular tour because it appeared to offer something which other less expensive tours did not... The North Korea Spy Commando Invasion route. I was expecting to with a group, but to my surprise this was a PRIVATE tour with just my driver (a seasoned military veteran with relatively high ranking) who was able to take me places and share insight which the general public might not be able to see or experience. At one point, we needed to meet up with one of the few authorized tour buses to take me to the DMZ/JSA. When we met up with the bus, they were having their lunch. I noticed that the lunch I had with my tour guide was WAY better than the lunch the bus folks were having. The bus portion of the DMZ/JSA tour was very controlled (it had to be) and was great. However, the extra value which my private tour guide was able to provide before I got on the bus and after the bus dropped me off more than compensated for the difference in price. Do your self a favor and read up on the Korean War and the history since the war. Your private tour guide and you will be able to have a deeper and more meaningful conversation and you will learn more. I happened to do this, it seemed to surprise my tour guide that I knew so much about Korea, the Korean War, and history since the war that I was able to really learn so much more. Also, my genuine and sincere interest seemed to spur my tour guide to take me to even more places which he said "are not on my normal tour". Also, my tour guide picked me up and dropped me off at the private residence where I was staying. I did not have to venture to one of the "pickup hotels" where the normal DMZ/JSA tour buses pick up. This tour was really worth every penny and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants more than just a "tourist" experience. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

We chose a DMZ Spy Tours private tour because we've been on too many tours where take you to multiple tourist traps and you only get to spend minimal time at the main attraction.

This tour was excellent. We were picked up from the hotel in a spacious, comfortable car and given a history of the DMZ on the way by our guide Sunny. She took time to explain key events in the Korean war and answer all of our questions. We had plenty of time at each of the sites we visited, there was no rushing around. The highlight was visiting the active army facility and looking at the North Korean guard posts through binoculars. The duck lunch was delicious.

I'd definitely recommend DMZ Spy Tours if you want a personalised tour of the DMZ.

What a day it was! For those who loves history and has interest in the politics of the world, this tour is for you.

Throughout the week in Seoul, my dad has been looking forward for this tour. He was anticipating this since day 1 we arrived in Seoul. And I am so happy that he wasnt disappointed at all. I was so worried initial because he has building up so much expectation for this tour. But when he exclaimed to me that this tour was the best day for him, made me grateful that I brought him along.

We were picked in a private car because we actually took the private tour. We initially booked the one with JSA however, I understand that due to summit that was going to be held, the JSA was closed.

The tour offered an alternative and refunded us 90,000 won. Though we didnt get a chance to do JSA, we enjoyed our day with our guide Alfonso. He shared so much stories and knowledge. He is such an open soul and very passionate in his sharing. He made us understand the three areas-civilan, military and dmz. It felt that we had a friend not a guide. He always ensure safety first and constantly look out for my father.

I personally every minute of it. Yes some would say, its just a tunnel. It just a guard post. Its just North Korea through binoculars. Its a group of villagers leaving in the middle of DMZ. To me.. it was mind blown. It wasnt just a tunnel, but the ability of those who made them. It wasnt just a guard post but it was other parents child guarding the borders of their home and the ingenuity of defending it. It was just a group of villagers but people who were by fate is living between two countries (in the middle of it).. and it was to me.. the nearest I would I have seen the North Korea.

It is expensive but what a day! To reflect about our past, our present and our future.

Many many thanks for your great review. Many travelers wish to go to JSA but as you pointed out, all such things could be felt and enjoyed without a visit to JSA. In some sense, JSA is a meeting place among the concerned countries with our giving much fun. Our tour was designed to offer more historical and educational learning as well as interesting stories and fun rather than just visiting a place for sighting. Highly appreciate your careful and meticulous review which would help future travelers to understand better about what they are going to happen with our tour. Thank again and all the best. The DMZ and JSA parts of the trip were great. I paid for a private tour, but someone else joined the group before I went to the JSA and was with me in the morning.. Paying double (about $250 instead of the standard $135) for being privately dropped off at my hotel was a rip off. For $3 I could have taken a taxi. There was a guide and driver in addition to the other gal, but they barely spoke English, so we learned nothing about the spy commando route.. I could not eat much of the lunch as it was mostly shell fish which I am allergic to. I will be contacting viator. Com as well as my credit card company for a partial refund. Do not use this company. Great things to see in the north at more reasonable prices.

Hi. Ms.Jean. I never commented about your complaint until now. Because I gave back to the viator staff what happened to you. The tour price difference came from the tour difference. She booked north korea invasion route toyr and you booked ultimate dmz&jsa tour. If you booked north korea invasion route tour, the price is 132usd. Pls go to viator and check it. You commented even Shek couild not speak English . But you hang up the phone without hearing what I am talking to you. And kept yelling all day. And I heard you thought my driver and guide brought you wrong place. and you complainec wcdid not bring you 3rd tunnel. But in the itinerary, no 3rd tunnel visiting. At last you asked money back to viator. I refused. You are the only person that I did not refuse money refund. Except only you, until now, everytime I have refund request I was willing to refund. Because I believed my guests never intentionally ask refund.they really were not satisfied with my tour. but your complaint on viator, sometimes not true somewhere misunderstood. if you had tried to listen what I said, I would have refunded. Anyway felt sorry about things happened to you.but sometimes you better trust. I do not do business for cheating my guests.
