No Shopping DMZ Half Day Tour from Seoul

Enjoy the highlights of the DMZ and get back to Seoul in time for lunch on a guided group tour. Listen to immersive commentary during visits to Imjingak Park, Dora Observatory, and other important landmarks. Have your camera ready for an unobstructed view of one of the world's most famous demilitarized zones. Best of all, this excursion does not include unnecessary shopping stops that other tours add on, which saves you valuable vacation time.

I visited Samsung D’light Exhibition Space a few weeks ago, This free of charge space showcases not only the latest products but it is designed as an experience center where through innovative technology you can test how your world is or can be impacted by your feelings and emotions. Through various personal choices, movements, colors, shapes, and intellect you can determine and creat your world while understanding the correlation of technology, innovation and human perception. You can even take part in their free of charge VR experience. I had so much fun here and would recommend this experimental space to others if you are visiting Gangnam/Samsung Town.

We were exploring the Gangnam area when we stumble into this Samsung d'lite exhibition storefront. We did not know what to expect and thought perhaps it was a retail store for all Samsung products. For sure there is an level that does sell retail current electronic devices but it is much more than that. This building highlights Samsung's latest technologies and is a global exhibition place that exhibits the latest product lineups. Where else can you try the latest in Samsung products and experience interactive devices. It was very much an educational experience to learn about the production of products and to view future product developments. You can easily spend two hours there and the best of all is that it is free!

Sitting in front of screens pressing buttons is not innovative technology. You don't get to do anything that you couldn't do with your phone at home.

We heard about Samsung d'light from a family member. An easy place to find and get to. Just get out at Gangnam metro station and head towards exit 8. The retail-exposition type experience has a retail shop on the ground floor, an interactive experience on the first floor and a showcase of living technology on the 2nd floor. It's designed to give us a look at the near future at home, at school and in the workplace. Unfortunately, we arrived at the same time as about 2 dozen local schoolchildren who monopolised the VR headsets and other interactive displays. Staff members were not that helpful apart from the ladies who initially greeted us showing us how to access the interactive area. Other staff completely ignored us when we tried to access the VR gear. Perhaps it's simply luck of the draw.

We really enjoyed our visit to this corporate enterprise and were able to spend a couple of hours enjoying the various attractions that were on offer. The fact that the place is free and gives one a glimpse of what Samsung think the future will look like was entertaining and interesting. Staff were on-hand to make sure you enjoyed the experience and a follow-up e-mail from Samsung with photos etc. was also a little unique. We visited at the end of a day's sight-seeing- it was great way to finish off what had been a very busy day.
