We came to Insadong Hanjeungmak later than booked and close to midnight but the owner, who speaks fluent English, was very kind and patient in explaining the various treatments my boyfriend and I could choose from. I chose the package that gave access to the baths and saunas and also included a v-steaming (!), body scrub, cucumber face mask and back massage and I loved every singe minute of it. The owner not only organized our treatments in a way they would synchronize but also taught us a few words in Korean to make communication with our masseuses possible. I can't give enough praise to the ladies who perform the scrub and massage - and performance is the right word to refer to a choreography of hot towels, hot water, cucumber face mask and quite definitely the scrub-of-your-life. The treatments were not only amazingly pleasurable but also full of a no-frills charm that seems to be very unique to the Korean jjimjilbang culture. As a bonus, my skin was very smooth and soft for days after. It was a wonderful experience and if I lived in Korea I would want to have a scrub at the hands of these wonderful 'ahjumas' once a week, at least.

After traveling in Asia for a few weeks, my partner and I were tired and feeling the fatigue in our bodies. We had seen a listicle of the things everyone should do while in Seoul, and in that list was "visit a jjimjilbang" so we decided to give one a try! The front desk person spoke great English and was able to advise us on the packages and options, as well as tell us how everything would work. After that, no one spoke English so it was a lot of hand gestures and body language, which worked well. The whole body exfoliation was amazing and my skin has never been smoother. The massage was great and just what I needed for my sore muscles. The saunas and hot baths were so nice to relax in. So glad we got to experience this, it was really cool and unique! One of my favorite parts of our time in Korea.

Amazing experience. My travel buddy and I were extremely well looked after. We both got the total works for our experience. If you're not shy getting naked in front of others, I highly recommend this experience. This may not be for everyone though. The friendliness and service were unbelievable. I highly highly recommend this.

Insadong Hanjeungmak is a small Hanjeungmak with friendly people waiting to serve you. The owner can speak fluent English. He is nice and polite. My husband and I enjoyed every facility they provide and we also had our first time ever body scrub. If you like me don't like the place full of people but still want to try several traditional Korean bath items, this place is recommended. Overall our first time Hanjeungmak experience was pretty good and unforgettable. I love their service and definitely will go back again next time when we visit Korea.

Went for couples deal after a long and tiring flight. Body scrub and massage was great. If paying by credit card, cough up 10% more. Very satisfied in the end.
