My family and I are very very satisfied with our stay in Korea under our tour guide, Mr Daniel. He is very very dedicated with his work to the point he gave up his Lunar Family Dinner which is very important to him just to bring us to a halal restaurant all the way from Everland to Itaewon even-though we’ve assured him that its fine because we dont want to burden him. One time he brought us for lunch at Nami, but the family doesn’t prefer the restaurant as there were no indications showing the place is Halal, but Mr Daniel immediately called his acquaintance and brought us to that halal restaurant instead when that restaurant is actually closed! We really appreciate his hospitality, he is full with information and ready to help regardless the day/night/time he is always ready to help. He made the whole family felt included and to us, he’s like one of us too. As a muslim family, finding halal places to eat is our biggest concern, but Mr Daniel made everything possible. Hence I am very satisfied with Mr Daniel and I would certainly recommend him to my friends. Thumbs up Mr Daniel!

This is my family’s first private tour (and our first time in Korea) so we were kind of nervous and we didn’t know what to expect. But after the tour I can say that we’re very glad we booked a private tour with this company. The tour guides was very accommodating and helpful. The tour was also flexible so you won’t have to worry so much in your itinerary. They can suggest places you can still visit within the time frame of the tour (without extra charges in your tour), as well as good restaurants/ food you and your family can try. Overall, we had so much fun thanks to Iamyourguide! Highly recommended! 👏👏👏

The tour was brilliant! Great service with a kind and knowledgeable tour-guide (Soobok, Lee), who is also a good driver. We visited everything on the list being in no hurry and with the best help and guidance in everything we needed. We would like to recommend the company and the guide to everyone going to Seoul for the best sightseeing experience in Korea.

Ms. Heo was our guide for 1 day tour and I highly recommend her as a tour guide. She was very patient with my young children and my mom. Ms. Heo's knowledge and professional manner made this an unforgettable trip. Thanks Ms Heo and Iamyourguide Korea Tour.

Chris was our quide throughout our 2 days tour. He's funny and very helpful. Remember our password chris, aishhh!!!! Lol
Highly recommend this tour company and hoped he enjoyed with this dysfunctional family!
We stayed near myeongdong area and the market is really a happening place. Better than namdaemun market as they closed very early. The food area in myeongdong is fantastic. Lots of choices. Is a must to visit.
Visit korea in spring and autumn, which is cooler as summer is too hot n humid.
Regards to you, chris and tommy for the arrangements.

I spent a day with Tommy from I am your guide in Seoul. He was extremely friendly and helpful. He showed me how to explore Seoul in the manner of a local and even tried to save me money by showing me the best places to eat or travel around. Only after my day with Tommy that I truly began to love the city Seoul. It can be harsh traveling to a new country alone and don't speak the language. I am your guide just made the transition smooth and so much more enjoyable A++++

This tour agency has been very helpful from the get-go. I have booked 3 differend day tours with ease. My husband and I had 3 different tour guides, one for each day. And all 3 of them were very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our tour in Korea was never boring at all. It was definitely a memorable travel experience with the help of our tour guides. :)

It was a perfect day tour outside of Seoul. We were brought to Petite France which is a very famous shooting location and a beautiful lake in Cheunchon. We had lunch nearby at a local restaurant serving authentic korean food which was really good. Next stop was Hakrim Cafe which was the oldest cafe in Seoul, the interiors were well preserved. Last stop was Namsan Tower where my husband and I put our locks to commemorate our 25th siver wedding anniversary. Our whole family were truly grateful to Tommy, our guide & his driver for bringing us to those wonderful places. They even went out of their way to bring us to Banpo bridge to watch the fountain show, but too bad the show wasnt on that night. Tommy was pretty helpful and was always ready to give assistance on our requests even after the tour. Hope to get another tour from them on our next trip.

We booked a 3-day private tour with Iamyourguide (Feb 21-23, 2016). We were assigned to Patrick Park who made our tour fairly unenjoyable. His English was limited and he had a very strong accent which made it even harder to understand him. Our first impression was that he was not very friendly, not sure if it was because the tour started at 7:25 am from the airport, too early for him!

We visited the Gamcheon Culture Village first thing in the morning. Certain parts of the area are decorated with murals and sculptures which are nice and interesting. The neighborhood is unique. Wished that we went in the afternoon when it was warmer and the shops and restaurants were open.

The following are some of the experiences we encountered during the 3 days visit with Patrick Park:

He did not introduce himself and we had to initiate to introduce ourselves. He suggested we had breakfast at the airport as no restaurants were opened. We suggested we would have breakfast later after dropping off our luggage at the hotel. Later on we found out there were quite a few cafes open early at 7:00 am. Our ride to the hotel would be awkward and quiet if we did not initiate some conversations and he did not tell us much about Busan.

Without discussing with us, he just told us we were having seafood stew for lunch. We told him we wanted to have fresh seafood for lunch at the Jagalchi Market; he resisted but we insisted. We had a wonderful lunch with fish, seafood hot pot, oysters and conches. He dropped us off between 3:30 and 4 pm (about 2 hours earlier as scheduled in the itinerary) without asking if we would need some help to get around or suggestion for dinner. If you don’t ask, he would not offer or make any suggestions or recommendations.

On the second day, he took us to Taejongdae Park. He told us there were five points of interest but we would only see 2 of them. My sister asked him why and he said he always took his clients to see these 2 sites only and did not quite explain it. He and my sister had a slight argument. Then he got a little upset, gave us the ticket, told us to go on our own and he would wait for us at the entrance. Again without discussing with us, he just told us we were having ginseng chicken soup for lunch.

At the Beomeosa Temple, we asked which kingdom or king ordered the temple to be built. He said he did not know and just laughed about it. He had basic information on all the sites we visited. Each time he was not able to answer the questions, he would just laughed about it.

Since he was not sociable and he seldom pointed out any points of interest along the way, the car ride was awkward and boring (sleeping was the solution!), especially the long ride to Gyeongju.

Even though we found him to be immature & unprofessional, after all he did the basic standard duties that a local guide would normally do.

Ensure to visit Taejongdae Park, Haedong Yonggung Temple, BIFF Square, Jagalchi Market, Beomeosa Temple and Dongbaekseon Island. Try some fresh seafoods at Jagalchi Market.
