A fairly large and lovely park which isn't overly crowded like other tourist spots. Beautiful views when I visited in autumn. The only area with lots of tourists is the cosmos flower field (it's pretty but the park has more to offer). Great for strolls in autumn weather.
Olympic park is near to Lotte World, I went over for dinner after my visit.

The park is easily accessible by subway (Mongchontoseong Station) on Line 8, near Jamsil. It is a large park with beautiful scenery. The best is to go there in the afternoon, take the path on the right and then walk anti-clockwise around the park. The alternative subway access is the Olympic Station (P550) but there is a lot walking to do ie from there to walk around the park to Mongchontoseong station.

Olympic Park is a huge complex where you can see stadiums, around 200 different statues and there is also a park with a nice nature to walk through. I especially enjoyed visiting the 1988 Olympics flags plaza - interesting to see how many countries do not exist any more and how many changed their flag design.

This is a beautiful park near jamsil area of seoul. It has great city views and lots of things to do. There is a swimming pool, bike rentals, and lots of walking trails. It also has artwork spread throughout the park. It's a great place to just relax and enjoy a nice day. They also have a coffee shop inside the park.

Seoul's Olympic Park is an underestimated place, in my opinion. It is a lovely place for a day or at least half a day out.
The park has different parts. There is the 'real' Olympic part, with an Olympic Museum and outdoor sculptures and all. And there is an adjacent sculpture park with the SOMA and another museum.
All in all there are 100-200 huge sculptures from all around the world in a pretty, forest park!! How cool is that?!
There is a lake, you can have a bite and a coffee in Angelinus, you can rent a bike, walk, people-watch and just relax.
If you like sculpture parks, then I highly recommend this place.

This park is very relaxing and goo to spend a lazy time. I think Olympic Park is one of the most peaceful park in Seoul.
- Close fom metro line #8 Mongchon Toseong(closer from main entrance) and #5 Olympic Park.
- With mounds, tall trees and other installations, it's also good for a photoshoot.
- Also, there are stadiums for events and sport games.
- In late September, they have Hanseong Baekje Cultural Festival near Peace Gate. It is not to miss.
- There's a pretty nice Korean buffet in the park. Good to try.
- Lots of magpies.

I don't know: I don't remember seeing any. It's an open space so probably ok.

Can you go inside the Olympic Stadium?
Written January 29, 2019
Hi Chris. Sorry I don't know the answer as I didn't go to that area. Olympic Park is about a mile I'd guess from the Olympic Stadium and other sports arenas.

Hello
I am visiting Seoul in October from UK
I take photos as a hobby of stadiums.
I am visiting Seoul World Cup Stadium on a tour.
Could you tell me if its possible to visit Seoul Olympic Jamsil Stadium? Or to see inside the Olympic stadium on a non matchday?
Thank you
Written June 24, 2016
Hi. first of all. The Seoul World Cup Stadium is very far from The Olympic park. it takes about 1 hour by public transportation. In Olympic park, you cannot enter stadium inside on common day, only there open special day(concert...etc). It's okay outside of stadium.
If U want to take a picture of stadiums, take a subway and get off Jam-sil sports complex. more than The Olympic park! it's takes about 20 mins from the Olympic park.
Nowadays there're baseball matches in everyday(not Monday). so U can see the match and taking a photos:D(If u buy a ticket)
Thanks and Welcome to KOREA.

Hello John and Tripadvisor,
Good day to all.
I am going to Olympic Park this coming the November 19, 2015. Do you know if the gingko trees are still in yellow or all the leaves in that street have fallen?
Thanks.
