The Korean BBQ tour was great fun, as solo traveller it isn't easy to be able to have Korea BBQ so this tour is perfect for the solo traveller. We were taken to some really local restaurants that you wouldn't have found without the guide. The food was excellent and the guide was great and checked in to make sure that I had made it back to my hotel ok. Would recommend their tours and would definitely book with them again when I return to Seoul.

The experience was incredible. Ron, our guide, was friendly, resourceful, very patient and became part of the family immediately. It made us feel welcome, answered all our questions and taught us how to navigate Seoul.
All the food places he took us were delicious and interesting. We traveled with our 3 teenagers and they got along very well.

Ron was an excellent guide and the spots he took us to were authentic and delicious! If you want a tour that will take you off the beaten path, this tour is for you! Ron was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour!

Great 3 hours spent exploring the back streets and alleys of Seoul. Learning and ghosts, myths and legends. South Korea was ruled by kings and queens and our guide described it as the game if thrones of Asia. Well worth spending an evening learning about the darker side of Korean history.

I found the tour disappointing and overpriced. Joe is a nice guy and some of the stories were interesting, but for 40,000+ won I expected more. The whole thing felt ragged and thrown together and lots of the stories seemed to either tail off or merge together. The only prop was a packet of ramen chili sauce to 'ward off ghosts' and any theatricality consisted of Joe opening his eyes wide and doing an eerie laugh at random intervals. Throughout the tour I got the sense that he was tired and wanted to be somewhere else.
I suspect the food tours are better and more focused, but skip the ghost tour.

My wife and I loved this tour. This was hands down the most interesting tour we’ve done in Korea. Shawn brings you deep into the Goyang/Paju cemetery territory. He surprises you with unknown tidbits, information about burial history and traditions, ghost lore (yes, it can be spooky), breathtaking cemetery sceneries, and much more! The fun starts before the start of the tour, a hop on the local bus and a walk through the countryside, something one likely wouldn’t experience in Korea. Before the end of the tour, we walked through the dark forest with headlights, and it was the perfect end of a cemetery tour. Shawn is also very professional and cares about everyone’s safety.

On a response to a low review, management referred to the tour as "a unique blend of history and titillation". There is no better way to describe it other than to add memorable and entertaining.
At one point I did ask my guide "do you have any other d!ck stories to tell us?" It was meant with 100% interest to hear more stories throughout history of men trying to solve problems with the wrong head...
My guide, Joe, was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Seoul but also a fantastic storyteller. I had goosebumps during multiple stories and the 2.5 hours of walking flew by.
This tour is pg-13 for a reason, but it was also my favorite part of my trip to Seoul. I was lucky to be on a smaller tour (7 for the regular, 4 for the extended) which made asking questions and moving through the city very enjoyable. As a solo traveler, I was nervous I'd feel like a lost puppy trailing after the group, but Joe did a great job of filling walking time with other stories and keeping the group engaged.
When I return to Seoul, I'll definitely be taking more tours by this company, probably even another evening ghost walk. I'll also be recommending this tour to any friends who go to Seoul.

It was a unique experience. We get to visit places I doubt we’d go to if we hadn’t gone on this tour. It was also informative on other aspects of Korea, its history, and its folklores that you hardly hear about. There is a lot of walking but that’s a good way to explore the city in a unique way.

Our guide Joe was very knowledgeable of Korean history, in particular past events which supported the intent of the tour. We were able to explore areas which we'd likely not venture ourselves and also discovered our guide has a podcast which will give us even more background on the "creepier" side of Seoul / Korea. Very much recommended as an essential part of anyone's trip!
