The area

Neighborhood: Hongdae
Carefree enthusiasm is everywhere in this energetic neighborhood centered on Hongik University, Korea’s top art school. From its assortment of murals to the occasional amateur street performances, creativity and expression make up the wild and beating heart of vibrant Hongdae. At the Free and Hope Market (weekends at the Hongdae Children’s Playground) you'll find one of Seoul’s most popular handmade and creative markets drawing consistent crowds. At Hongdae, there’s never a shortage of things to do and see; food and drink options are nearly endless as are shops and noraebang (karaoke) rooms. Hongdae is also one of Seoul’s top party and club scenes catering to a younger demographic; if a packed club isn’t your scene, you'll also find a range of music venues and bars offering live music in all genres. Although Hongdae has lost much of its unique appeal and undergone rapid commercialization in recent years, be sure to explore Hongdae’s edges in areas such as Sangsu-dong and Yeonnam-dong where Hongdae’s fiercely independent streak still runs freely.

This show was very good fun if you enjoy watching b-boys(& girls) showing their moves. The hongdae theatre is quite small so you sit in close proximity to the stage and can see from any of the seats. They are very interactive and will choose guests to join on stage.
Overall, it was a very good show and myself and my hubby had a very good laugh.

You get to take photos with your favourite cast members after the show too.

Highly recommended.

For breakdance lovers this show is a must visit! If you're not into breakdance it is still worth visiting. The show is amazing, you will be stunned by the stunts the crew can do. The show is a non-verbal comedy musical with a Korean youth theme so it is fine for non-korean speakers. It is conveniently located near Hongik University.

The price (app. 30 Eur) is definitely too big for such show. There was a scenario (which for me was not so funny). I would prefer more dancing and less "acting".
I would say it is show for teens.

B-Boy Kung Festival is a nice unique experience. As mentioned before in earlier reviews, the small stage definitely has its advantages of the performers being in constant interaction with the viewing public. The dance moves were generally very nice and energetic, albeit lacking some bit of co-ordination at times. The script and the act can seem a little over the top, but its works reasonably well and thankfully is self explanatory without knowing Korean. Definitely something I would recommend you do once.
Ah yes, the theatre has a main entrance, unfortunately I landed up on the other side so had to squeeze under a half open garage door. Having said that, I reckon I was the only one faced with that issue :) Be smarter and get to the regular main lobby.
