Gourmet 494, is a huge food marketplace located in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu in Seoul. We met a Korean friend there, she never knew this place existed until we met. Perhaps it is in the basement level of the mall kind of setting. I ordered a plate...More

I visited Glitzy Apgujeong on my day tour. It is a boutique-lined street. It is the rodeo drive of Seoul at Gangnam district - Korea’s very own version of Beverly Hills. The road is lined with boutiques and flowers. See below for the list Boutiques:...More

This street is filled with high end brands. If luxury brand shopping is your thing this would be Mecca, but it didn't really appeal to us.

Huge road with a lot of brands. The main issue with it is that shops can be far from each other. Unless, they actually considered another road if you wanna go from a certain location or so....anyways you can walk all the way to Cheongdam...More

Aimed for the sky to find a fancy rich female celebrity for some hip busting action. Failed drastically. Anyhow worth a visit if you got nothing to do, better areas in Seoul.

Apgujeong Rodeo Street is where to shop for high end and designer clothing and accessories. Not exactly my cup of tea but still worth the visit.

Itinerary for January 2018 (2 Replies)
Dear TA Members, My husband and I, along with our 13 years old daughter will be going to Seoul for family vacation on 2 to 11 January 2018. I have made itinerary for our trip. I have been to Seoul on 2014 with my friend, and I found out that the subway there needs a lot of walking, especially when changing lines. My last itinerary wasn't good at all. There were many places we have to skip due to lack of time. Could you please help me to check if this itinerary is doable? When travel,...More

Hi, we (wife, me, 2 kids ages 3 and 8) are staying near Myeongdong and planning to spend tomorrow south of the river (and surrounding areas). Any thoughts on below? Are we missing some major spots? We are less fussed about big-brand shopping, so kept Apgujeong Rodeo Street and Cheongdam Fashion Street out of the list. 1. Seorae Village (reach by 9:30 am) 2. COEX East Gate - Gangnam Statue/ North Gate- Bongeursa Temple (reach by 11 am) 3. Garosugil (reach by 1 pm) 4. Common Ground (reach...More

You are dodging about a bit. Seorae Mauil is the western extremity, then you go west to Coex, and follow line 2 to common ground and Forest. Garosugil is sort of out of the route to me. It's well north of Line 2.Have a good trip
