If you like cute arty souvenirs, this place is for you. Think Etsy. The poop café is up the top, but it's a bit over rated. We were expecting more poopy things there. There's also a nice little area/garden to sit at the top. On the bottom floor there's a stall that does caricatures.

Our Guide took us to this outdoor mall as we were in the area and passing through. Lots of negotiations, especially gadgets and not particularly interesting objects. Beautiful outdoor structure, with shops overlooking the inner courtyard and a very slight sloping ramp that leads to the upper floors without the need to climb stairs. We didn't buy anything.

I though this was the sweetest little place. I had a really lovely time strolling up the levels with my friend. There are some cute shops, with lots of small businesses and shops that offer a diy element so that you can customise your souvenirs.

Ssamzigil was recommended by our daughters to visit since it was a quirky mall located in the Insadong area.
The mall’s main walkway is a ramp that completely runs all the way from the ground
to the top floor so all of the stores are not quite at the same level.
Throughout the mall, the assumed mascot of two smiling, yellow characters along with a host of other handcrafted wooden statues or rabbit like characters also added another dimension to its unique character. The various stores sold both handcrafted as well as mass produced items.
People were allowed to scribble all over the walls leaving standard I love, We were here notes or other greetings. Remember to bring a sharpie if you want to contribute your thoughts.

Unique shopping centre with well made items that I didn’t see elsewhere. Easy to navigate and can be done in a short period of time - this is not a mega mall like Lotte! Highly recommend the shop selling personalised luggage tags while you wait and Arty Party which has lovely unique jewellery.

Strolling along the alleys of Insadong cultural neighborhood on a September Sunday , we chanced upon Ssamziegil . It is a four levels small mall located right in the centre of Insadong.
The architecture of this mall is unique as the walkway is spiral-like that connects each level and encircles the open courtyard. Such layout of the mall is welcoming as we did not have to climb steps!
It was interesting to explore each level as this is a cultural mall that features artisans' artpieces with workshops and galleries for viewing pleasure. The entire mall with the well decorated walls, colourful and creative theme offered a charming atmosphere.
There were also many interesting shops selling traditional artworks and handmade crafts like hairclips, brooches, caps, bags, and apparels and knick knacks. This is certainly the place to get your Korean
souvenirs.
I was very glad to spot a nice shawl from a small store and got it at a good price.
With my friend, we strolled each level of Ssamziegil and found an interesting cafe at the roof top level, which we felt was a pleasant place to relax with drinks and enjoy a good view of the exciting
neighbourhood.

A cool spot to browse handmade items from small boutique shops perfect for big and small budgets. The way you traverse the shops is via a continuous walkway that takes you to the top where the (slightly) famous toilet-themed cafe is (see photos of coffee served in ceramic toilets). I bought quite a few gifts from here for myself, family and friends and really enjoyed looking through all of the quirky items from the different artists.

Full of crafts and antique stores, ssamzigil is a go-to during weekends. There are so many good cheap items. From souvenirs to Korea's authentic food and merchandise. Pottery & antiques can also be seen here. The whole street is full of life & you can even enjoy some performances if you are lucky to see it. Colorful alley and mall!

Shopping center in the center of Insadong. Interesting layout with a circular walkway going to the top floor. A bit of a tourist trap but fun anyway

Nothing much with stores selling handicrafts expensively. Only shop making good business is the one selling pancakes that shaped like poop and the poop cafe at the highest level.
