About
This park is a good place to get away from the crowds and bustle of Seoul. The cycling trails (bikes are available for rent) are popular as are the swan boat rides. And the views of the Han river and city are stunning.

Guessing it must be packed in the day. Although it was still peaceful and we had a lovely walk. Nice views. Fresh air. Lot's of things for children and places to picnic. Clean. Use metro station Yeouinaru. As it was early, vendors had not set up yet but there appeared to be stalls selling food and drinks amongst other items. There were also activities for children and what looked like a mini pool as well as a ferry ride. Good place to ride a bike.Visited June 2022Traveled soloWritten June 10, 2022

This is an attractive park along the edge of the river in Seoul. I enjoyed a walk along the pathways as I was walking from Gangnam to the National Museum. It was easy to access with an elevator down from the south side. I then crossed the river under the Banpo bridge. A great walk.

Hangang Park is awesome. If you like to go walk along the river and you are in Seoul you must go there. You can rent a bike or just walk. There are a lot of photo zones. I think that was the best park ever.
Park nad rzeką Hangang to jeden z lepszych parków. Można tam wypożyczyć rower i zrobić mnóstwo zdjęć. Polecam!

This park is the site of many Hangang River attractions. Including the Banpodaegyo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, the Underwater Bridge and Moonlight Square.
During summer time, there are waters sports on the Hangang River.
Perfect location for family outing. I saw kids riding bikes, flying kites, picnic & etc. Lots of outdoor activities.
My favorite thing at this park definitely has to the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain. During the day, you can see the natural rainbow. At night, there is laser rainbow show.
The fountain show from April to October. The rainbow jets of water stretch 1,140 meters. It creates a fantastic view over the river along with 200 colorful lights. This fountain was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as teh world's longest bridge fountain.
Subway Line 3, 7 or 9, Express Bus Terminal Station, Exit 8-1]
Subway Line 9, Sinbanpo Station, Exit 2

I went to this park in February and it was very cold but sunny day. Just make sure you use clothes to make you warm and you still can stroll around in this park. The day I went a few people were jogging and riding bike. you have great views of N Seoul Tower and there is a sign I SEOUL U, where you can take good pictures. There is a ferry and also a place where concerts are held but because it was winter, they were close.
To arrive close to the I SEOUL U sign, take the purple subway line (number 5) and get off the station Yeouinaru exit 2

You might not think there are places like this in the crowded city of Seoul, yet there are many such oasis as this one where you can retreat for a day. It was very popular with local people and travelers alike. Hangang Park (Han River Park) is beautiful and well maintained.
The park reminds me a little of Golden Gate park in San Francisco, except this one is not quite as populated by trees and you still see sky scrapers in the distance and occasional reminders that you are still in a big city. Even so, it is a peaceful place to relax and see friendly local people. There are many things to do, and you can take short routes or long routes for walking. If you go down to Banpo bridge, you will see the Rainbow Fountain lights after dark. Also pleasant at night is the varied color lighting of the trails and trees. The Koreans have done a nice job on this park. In some spots there are places to get something to eat, or perhaps order food and have it delivered to the park, Seoul has many such places that do this.
It's easy to get there from inexpensive taxi ride or convenient to the subway system. About the only time you would probably not enjoy it is during the rainy season of course. And if you go in the winter, you better keep moving and bundle up with clothes. This trip was a nicer one because it was in June before the rainy season and not yet too hot or humid.
Bikes for rental at inexpensive prices... about 3,000 KRW for first hour and 500 KRW each hour after that. You might want to do this on your first trip to cover more ground and see more things. As a tourist, remember to stay out of the bikes lane and into the walk lane, In most cases, they are right next to each other, so it is easy to become distracted and walk into the bike lane. While most biker's come along at a leisurely pace, you occasionally are passed by someone who thinks he is in a race to win money! If traveling by car, there is not a lot of parking, yet we had no trouble getting in there and the price for park is inexpensive.
Summary is that it is one of the nicer parks we have visited around the world. The high rating from most people is due to the combination of many aspects of the park. Clean, beautiful, enjoying, and several things to do. It's worth your time to visit at least once.

The parks along Seoul's Hangang are a great place to relax. The Hangang park in reality is a collection of areas all along the river Han. My favourite spot is the one accessed from Ttukseom Resort subway station (exit 2 or 3). It is nice in all seasons and from here I saw an amazing sunset in winter however in summer it transforms into an activity hub. All facilities are easily located near the station. Just outside the station you can find a bicycle rental place (you just need to leave an ID at the counter, pay the first hour: 3000 won, and then 500 won for every additional half hour when you return the bike) with the bike you can then cycle on the well maintained cycle path all along the river. It is a nice way to see the city from the river. Here you will also find an outdoor climbing wall, a skate park with ramps, and a number of watersports (wakeboarding/water skiing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUP). There is also a swimming pool which should be open from June onwards. It is quieter during the week; if you go on a sunny weekend it is better to go in the morning as it can get quite busy.
The Hangang park in Yeouido instead is the place to go for the cherry blossom in spring.

Hello,
Yeouido Park has inline skate rentals and it's close from Yeouido Hangang Park. They say 3,000 won for one hour.

How can I go to Han revert park from city hall

Hello,
I recommend you to walk from City Hall until Gwanghwamun metro station (line 5, violet color). From that station you need to travel about 15 minutes, only 6 stops. Get out at Yeouido station, exit 2 and you are in Hangang Park.

I'm interested in seeing the iseoulu sign, is that located in Hangang Park? Also, which would you recommend more, Yeouido Hangang Park or Hangang Park. I'm going to rent a bike and explore the area but can only go to one. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I Seoul U sign is in Yeouido Hangang Park. You can see Yeouido Park and Yeouido Hangang Park together as they are linked through a tunnel. If you have limited time, Hangang Park is more recommended as it is closer to the metro station, bike rental shop and you can enjoy the Han river(Gang in Korean) view with many buskers.

Is this the same as Yeouido Hangan Park? If different, which one is better?
Ozan Karahan
Krakow, Poland1,537 contributions
I think there are 12 parks with name Hangang. Yeouido is one of them, relatively larger and nicer. Many activities are possible. Nowadays it is festival time there, blossom festival.
Which exit should I exit from to get to the park??

Hey man, I am in Seoul for a few days and I found a lot of information online about the park, but what is not clear is whether we need to make some reservation to fly our drone there. Did you have to reserve or you just went there? Thanks!

I did not fly a drone when I was there - so I am sorry, but I am unable to answer your question about the drone.
