About
Hope after you joined my experience, more interested in Korean cooking and Korean culture :) We'll begin with a visit to a local market that's not known by many tourists. We'll look at the Korean ingredients and buy vegetables, and we'll walk around so you can see what the locals buy and sell in the market. After this, we'll visit a traditional Korean house and you'll learn to cook three kinds of genuine Korean foods and to make Kimchi also i offer you some side dishes and a soup when you have a main dish what normally Korean eat at home. This is hands-on cooking class. you will cook everything your self, so it's more fun and no need to stand to watch other people cooking. this is homely cooking class you can feel like you visit your Korean friend's house but also you can learn from a professional chef who has many experience in the Kitchen.

The whole experience was amazing. I loved choosing the fresh ingredients in the market while she described each one. She was so personable. Learning how to cook while we engaged in wonderful conversation felt like getting to know a friend. I learned how to make a number of dishes such as bulgogi, kimchi, kimchi pancakes. In fact as I am writing this I am feeling hungry just thinking about how the awesome the food and experience was. Everything was so delicious. I felt like a chef in the making with the wonderful lessons she provided. I will cherish this experience and would highly recommend. This was my first cooking class ever and I am so glad that I had this wonderful experience with Chef Joungy.

This was an exceptional hands on experience in preparing traditional Korean dishes. Our 4 to 1 student to instructor ratio enhanced the learning environment. We enrolled in her class and enjoyed it so much that we took a second class a day later-lucky for us! Chef Joungy began her class with a market tour with explicit explanations of our ingredients and products. Next we moved on to her kitchen which was conveniently in the marketplace. Everything was ready and she demonstrated the correct ways to chop, slice, and mince each ingredient. Then she assisted us in properly cooking the dishes which became our delicious lunch. Our delicious lunch (appetizer, entree, kimchee, and dessert) was what we prepared and cooked for ourselves.
What sets her class a part from others is her intense care for her students to learn the techniques properly. Every step along the way, she watched how we cut the vegetables, prepare the sauces and marinades and cooked the dishes. Our class was entertaining and a very worthwhile activity. Thank you, Joungy.

Joungy is fantastic. She leads a small group (max 4) at each cooking class so the experience is intimate and we were all well looked after. We start off with a short walk through the local market and an introduction to the local ingredients. Joungy is patient and explains everything very well. Her house is located within the market. It is cute and very well set up. With a cooking area and a separate dining area. The class is very organised and you get to be fully hands-on unlike bigger cooking classes. With each course that we make, she completes it with side dishes or beverage. The whole experience is very well thought out and time flew by because we had such an amazing time. Thank you Joungy! I will definitely be trying out those dishes at home :)

The cooking class with Joungy was perfectly organized: first we went together to one smaller local market, after this we prepared at her home a 3 course menu. It is a great experience because she keeps the groups small (max. 4-5 person). We even received a gift at the end: our own Kinchi! We higly recommend! :)

Amazing experience if want to delve deeper into Korean food and culture in general! Joungy, a super friendly professional chef, took us to the market to buy the ingredients for our three-course menu and then guided us in preparing and cooking the menu ourselves. The food turned out very delicious and the experience was a blast! Definitely recommended for any foodie!

My boyfriend and I attended the cooking class with Joungy in May 2019. Joungy collected us from the underground station, toured us through the food market to buy our ingredients and off, into her tucked away cooking school. We cooked and ate a delicious three course meal, with good conversation in between. Joungy was a wonderful hostess and shared the recipes with us, which can be recreated at home. Thank you, Joungy!

We toured the market with Joungy who showed us various vegetables that were unfamiliar but similar to many we know. After that, we went to her home and prepared a three course meal with a savory pancake, Bibimbop and a sweet dumpling-like dessert. We also made a batch of kimchi to take with us. Everything was delicious—we made our own food and could season it the way we liked. Her explanations and directions were clear and easy to follow. We would highly recommend this class!

Participating in Joungy's Cooking Class made my trip to Seoul unforgettable. Joungy has a relaxing vibe and things at the kitchen and living room are just right, and so I felt as if I had been at my friend's place. About cooking, we cooked spicy and fermented napa caggabe, stir-fried glass noodle and vegetables, spicy stir-fried pork and Korean crapes with nuts, which were so tasty and not very complicated to cook. Joungy told me alternative ingredievnts in case I can't find or have ones used in our class. Finally, I got spice and fermented napa cabbage as a souvenir we made. If you like to learn realstic cooking and relaxing air, you would like Joungy's Cooking Class.
