Hello everyone😀

Thank you Chris so much for this experience, good mood and new skills! We really enjoyed the process and lunch. It was very delicious. Both of us were full of positive and inspiration after.

One more good thing is a great organization, we took pleasure from different cute details (tea, photos..). We highly recommend this class to all people, who would like to discover national Korean dishes!

This is a perfect way to get to know Korea.

Chris picked us up at the Metro. He took the boys and me to the market where we shopped.

Back at Chris’ place we had a wonderful time cooking and talking.

The boys and I are fans. This is a fantastic experience and Chris is the very best.

I booked this cooking class to learn more about traditional korean dishes because I love cooking. I forced my friends that never cooked before to join me. They all loved it ! It was so much fun even though it was my first cooking class.
Chris is super friendly and gives us nice tips for our trip in Seoul. Everything is well organized and professional.
We started with a small shopping in the market near Chris’ place then we had a small presentation about the basics of the korean food. After that, we cooked together and finally we ate there in a beautiful set.
We highly recommend it !

We like to take a cooking class every time we travel to a new country. This was one of the best ones we've done. We opted for a lunchtime class.

Chris met us at the closest subway entrance and we firstly visited a local market to buy some ingredients, before the short walk to his apartment. The kitchen set-up in his apartment is very impressive. Our menu was bibimbap, tteokgalbi, vegetable pancake and tofu salad. The class was well instructed - informative, nicely paced, and very hands-on. We loved the bibimbap most of all, but all of the food was delicious and the dining room was a nice place to enjoy our food. We also had the chance to try some local rice wine with our meal.

Chris is an excellent host and we thoroughly enjoyed our class. Highly recommend.

Chris met us bang on time right where he said he'd be at Mangwon station. We then spent a bit of time in the local market getting really useful information for buying up some Korean products that would definitely be cheaper there, than in one of the more touristy areas (mainly food items but metal chopsticks and the like too).

After the market we went to Chris' place which was very cozy, neat and clean. After getting our cup to tea, Chris gave us a short and informative presentation about Korea and Korean culture which was cool. Did you know that over 70% of Korea is mountains?! We didn't.

Then it was on to the cooking and eating. I should add that as we were a family of 5, and it was just after the lunar new year holiday period, we had Chris and his place to ourselves which was nice.

Chris' manner is very relaxed and his focus on the kids was great as it meant they were the ones doing most of the work! The dishes that they were able to put out were really good - we did tteokgalbi and bibimbap as the two main dishes, but also learnt how to make a tofu salad, chive pancakes and a quick beef-based soup.

The dining room had a little stand with a Korean and British flag which was a nice touch, and everything was neat and beautifully laid out. Once the food had been served, we dived into it and it was all delicious. The kids laid waste to the tteokgalbi especially, but we enjoyed it all. The bibimbap at the end filled us all completely up.

My own opinion is that the soup was nothing special, but the rest of the dishes for us were. Chris did not join us in eating and that was absolutely fine - I can't believe he wants to eat the same dishes that he teaches folk to cook all the time!

I would absolutely recommend Chris' classes. He is relaxed, knowledgeable and has the great ability to make sure everyone is occupied and enjoying what they are doing right from the start. You won't regret these classes if you have even a small interest in learning and experiencing more about Korean culture and food.

Chris is very nice person and everything is well prepared. He explained food with culture to me very patiently. The market visit is also awesome.

The cooking place is very clean and tidy. It is a good experience to cook, to know korea dishes with history. The decoration and set up

I was the only person in the class when I attended last week. That was great, since I could ask a lot of questions and connect with the host. The market was lovely--I suggest the tour that you can find on another experience site. However, the "cooking" part was mostly hands off. I cook at home, A LOT, and I basically just got to cut an onion and stir fry some noodles and beef. So, if you are wanting to actually cook, this may not be the class for you.

Another thing to note, is that there was no eating of the meal, only sampling. Once all of my food was prepared, Chris boxed it up and sent me on my way. I was wickedly hungry but that time and then I had to navigate the subway with a giant bag of food, which was a less than ideal sitch.

Not a terrible experience, but also not great as reflected in my 3/5 score. I've done other cooking classes that were much more hands on and where I was able to eat the food I cooked immediately. Chris is lovely, but I think this class could be improved.

Chris really looked after us, and was great communicating prior to meeting up. Good with checking food intolerance and allergies. We had 3 couples, all had a great time. Interesting to learn about different ingredients, cooking styles, and a bit of Korean culture and history. Great English, helpful and kind. Funny too! Would absolutely recommend. You leave very full of food, and we took leftovers in takeaway boxes. Lovely area of Seoul too, nice cafes, suburban area and market. Definitely check it out!
