If you want to learn about some of Korea's traditional alcohols in a beautiful part of the country, then a day trip with the Sool Company is for you. With the tour to Pocheon you go on a relatively short journey north of Seoul, which means you can pack a lot into the day: a cool brewery (Sansawon), a local lunch, a wonderful parkland(Pyeonggangland) and a later meal complete with makgeolli and traditional food. All great stuff and highly recommend.

We didnt know much about Seoul and we even knew less about makgeolli. Julia is the perfect person to show you around this crazy city and to introduce you into the fantastic world of makgeolli. We only did the tour and we wouldnt want to have missed it for a thing. The food, the atmosphere, the places Julia took us,... this is a real Seoul experience! We were in Seoul for 3 full days and we absolutely think the tour is a must. Thank you again for the perfect evening and your great sense of humor, Julia! ;-) Greetings, Kim and Thomas 🥩

Never having tasted Makegeolli, I had no idea what to expect. Makegeolli is delicious and Julia knowledge of Makegeolli is truly impressive. We tasted many types of Korean food and Makegeolli brewed in different ways. Julia took us to places we never would have known about and each place was interesting and tasty. Julia is absolutely delightful and so fun to be with. We learned about Korean history and today's Korean culture. I highly recommend this tour!

My friends and I went on this tour with Julia and it was one of the best times I had in South Korea. Fist of all Makgeolli is DELICIOUS, and it was awesome to learn about the history and how its made. Julia was super smart and knew everything about it, she even answered ALL of my questions and I had a lot! We went to places that I would have totally missed and I felt more like a local instead of a tourist, which in my opinion is awesome when you travel. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul you will learn a lot and drink tasty booze!

The makgeolli tour is such a great way to learn about and try Korean alcohol, try some different foods, and learn some history about Korea! I’ve done it twice now and both times it was so fun and interesting. Julia is incredibly knowledgeable and will make sure you go to places you would never find on your own. She will also give you some great recommendations for food or drinks if you want some. I know we will be taking any future visitors on this! Next I need to do the brewers class!
