There are other equally interesting sculptures along the sidewalk. Too bad the video and music panel next to it was faulty otherwise could have been a better experience. Nevertheless there was still good size crowd wanting to take their photos in the iconic pose. So be prepared as things can get messy with people jumping queue or ‘photo bombing’ your shots. So if anyone happens to be around the neighborhood or is a big fan of the whole K-pop culture why not.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 14, 2023

What started as a parody of Seoul upper class life turns out to be a perfect demonstration of Korean soft power. - Deanosaur89Edmonton, Canada8,617 contributionsFunny picture opportunityThe statue is just outside the east doors of Coex Mall and near Bongeunsa metro station. People queue to pose with the statue but are usually quite quick. When we went in December there were only about five people in front of us. Plan to spend about 5 minutes here and more if you're visiting the Coex Mall.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 19, 2023

It’s not easy to find in a massive Coex mall and when you do find it, it’s really nothing all that great. Fun and trippy but not impressive. Novelty. It’s at some side street of a big mall. If you’ve seen the Martin Luther King “Embrace” sculpture in Boston, it pales in comparison. See it if you’re in the area and dance along to the music but I wouldn't go out of your way for it.

Outside COEX Mall - DO NOT GO TO GANGNAM.
Google Maps incorrectly notes this as being at Gangnam Station. Don't make the mistake of going there. It's outside the East-side of Starfield COEX mall.
Lots of fun. The statue plays the song and it's a great photo op.

Well you have to do it don’t you…but it is just a statue of crossed hands ;-) however fun all the same. No music playing when we went in April 2023.
Right next to Coex mall so we went in there to look at Starfield Library (Google it, it’s beautiful), have lunch and shop. Opposite a gorgeous buddist temple also worth a visit.

Not too much elaborate about this. The giant hands are pretty and well made. You can just pose in front of it and that's it. It is right outside the Starfield Library. It is worth to take a picture of these hands if you are nearby. Otherwise is really not worthy of you commuting on train to see them. That's all it is not a must see.

First of all, you don't need to book a tour to see this. It is not an attraction it is decoration outside a shopping center. Take the number 2 line do not exit in Gangnam Station, exit in Samseong Station, 3 stations before or after depending on which way you are coming from. The station is under the COEX Convention Center shopping center but go out to the street and walk around the sidewalk. You will find it near the east entrance, take photos for 10 minutes and unless you want to go inside and shop in an "almost american" mall, you will get back in the subway and go somewhere else. Like the Banpo Bridge after 8pm.
