This is my third visit to Tbilisi but I still learned so much about the city from our guide, Lasha. We had a great morning exploring off-the-beaten-path locations (and seeking out great views), sipping wine together and chatting about life in Georgia. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about the culture and history from a local perspective.

I took the “Taste of Tbilisi” tour with Polina and had a lot of fun! Polina was an amazing guide as we strolled through the Old Town area, telling me all about the history of Tbilisi and pointing out the old architecture. But history and architecture takes a backseat to the food - after all, this was a food tour!

We started with lunch, where we had a lot of delicious plates. I learned the proper way to eat khinkali (Georgian dumplings), sampled a wide variety of appetizers, and washed it all down with beer and tarkhun (an interesting tarragon flavored soda that I really liked). All of the dishes were fantastic! Having stuffed myself, we continued on to a small shop to try some delicious local cheeses, some with garlic or pepper or paprika. Polina also showed me the different spices and condiments used in Georgian cooking, explaining what it was and what I had just eaten with it at lunch. We ended at an amazing little tea shop where we met tea aficionado George. I learned so much about the long and prestigious history of Georgian tea, and the tea was so tasty that I had to come back and get some to take home.

Thank you Polina (and George!) for a wonderful afternoon! If you’re looking for a great introduction to Georgian cuisine in Tbilisi, I highly recommend taking this tour.

Our tour with Lasha was fantastic. He gave us a great introduction to Georgian history and culture while we had some wine, Borjomi mineral water and a bite to eat. He took us to some great spots that we wouldn't have been able to find ourselves. Lasha is happy to share many stories about life in Tbilisi and how the city has changed. This is the perfect tour to get a great overview of this amazing place and Lasha is a super friendly guide. I highly recommend this tour!

Lasha was a great guidea and introduced us to Tbilisi on our first day here. The tour was a great combination of sightseeing and tasting delicious food. We had some amazing views with wine and cheese bread while listening to Lasha’s stories about Georgia. The best part of the tour was the tea museum. The owner was great and had so much knowledge about tea. He found a niche in growing wild tea and brought it to Georgia. The tea changed flavour with every serving. Drinking tea from a wine glass and decanter was very different and unique. I can highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tbilisi. Thank you Lasha!

Dear Ekkiespekkie, Thank you for the detailed review. It's very inspiring to know you had such a great tour with Lasha! Tea is not something you expect to discover in Georgia, but when you meet people who are very passionate about their job, you truly get a unique experience, and we're glad you appreciated it! Hope to see you in Tbilisi again! Kind regards, Team Tbilisi Urban Adventures.

Polina did her best to show us her favorite city with its old traditions, calm and peaceful atmosphere and delicious food. We tried khinkali, chacha, georgian salad, lemonade and more. Tea ceremony at Shota’s place was fantastic! He’s a real magician! Thank you, Polina, hope to see you again and repeat this experience one more time!

We did a three hour tour with Lasha. Lasha was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the history of Georgia and the present day city. We have a 5 year old and he was so accommodating. We did this tour first day and it was a perfect introduction to Tbilisi and set us up for the next amazing 5 days. A must do, you will not regret!

I booked a tour with Urban Adventures as a solo female, and ended up with a private tour (I was the only one booked!) with Eka. She taught me how to eat khinkali and make a toast in Georgian, told me a bunch about Georgian history, and answered all my questions, (plus more great food). I love getting to know a city through its food, and as a solo traveler, it is an especially nice way to meet people and get an insider's take on where to go and what to see. The tea ceremony was unique and fascinating. I super recommend booking a spot on this tour!
