Iconic church that towers above the Mtkvari River and Old Town. It affords superb views of the city below and looks amazing when viewed from below too. The Cathedral itself is being renovated at the moment but the interior is unaffected and is really beautiful. There was a service on when I called so no photos but a lovely place,... More

The church and courtyard are "working" holy places, so please be reverent and quiet outside and ladies take a scarf at the door if... More

The church itself... More

At the moment there is scaffolding externally in places but nevertheless it is an imposing church especially from the riverside standing on top of the cliff. Not ornate interior but good and from the grounds a good view over the city.

This is a historical church in Tbilisi situated in old town along side of Mtkvari river. This places is on the hill , small but one of the most popular churches. Most popular place for locals. Quite and peaceful. The place offers a nice view of Tbilisi.
