Came up here in February, snow everywhere! Fantastic view at the top. Stoped in for lunch and had kaputi, Kachapuri and trio of khinkali. Very delicious.

The Funicular is at the top of a large hill. There is a beautiful park with rides for children and several restaurants.

The train leaves every 10 minutes on a steep incline going to Mtsaminda park. The journey is approximately 3 minutes. Try sitting in the very front when going downhill. Wonderful views.

Chose to take the funicular to the vantage point above the city the day after a heavy snowfall. The view from the top was of a picturesque winter wonderland. Surprisingly there is a large fun park at the top complete with massive Ferris wheel, roller coaster and various other rides that would keep kids amused on a warmer day. The... More

I planned on visiting the funicular on a Saturday morning, however, I didn't realize how much the snow would inhibit the views from the top. The funicular was beautiful and there was a very pleasant ride to the top. I'm sure in the summer the theme park at the top is incredible. Unfortunately, I arrived in the snow and couldn't... More

Smart Funicular cable railway with new carriages. Only 6 GEL (US$2.20) for return trip. Good views from the carriages. Buy a plastic card at the station and use this on the turnstiles to enter the railway and at the top keep for the return trip. Mtatsminda Park is worth a look, it is January so not all rides are open,... More
