Must visit place for every tourist. Wonderful view of Tiblisi, safe and efficient. This is truly the most beautiful part of Tbilisi and gives excellent panoramic views on the city. On the top there is an amusement park, great for kids and families to relax....More

This is a very nice experience if you want to have a stroll well above the city. It has some amusement options for children and a nice cafe where you can have lunch with a great view of the city

Worth the ride but unfortunately the day we visited it was raining. When we arrived at the top everything was closed to our disappointment.

I took a ride on funicular because of good reviews but the ride on the ropeway was more exciting and cheaper. I still enjoyed the scenery on top of the mountain but I would suggest taking the bus uphill because the road was fascinating and...More

Definitely worth the trip up. You get wonderful views up the top. We went up when the fun fair and rides were not open and had a lovely time walking around the area. Quite a lot to see up top so leave time. Can’t remember... More

Porto Bus Tours (3 Replies)
It seems that there are three "flavours" of the bus tour. Any advice which is best, and it implies that the ticket (48hr?) includes other public transport/ Does this mean Metro and Funicular?

The Andante tickets include everything. Which bus tours are you finding? There is a also a tram tour by vintage tram.

Hi There, Does anyone have any information on the funicular. I stumbled on a tourist info from Paris, that the funicular is not operating until 2008. again. Can anyone enlighten me on whether this is a fact, as I was looking forward to the experience . I planned to visit Paris in September. Thanks

According to a RATP press release, the Montmartre Funicular will remain out-of-service (since early-December) for equipment up-grades until approx. this coming July 1st, 2007...when they anticipate putting one of the two cars back into service.

Below is my tentative itinerary for our several days in Tuscany. Suggestions/rerouting would be appreciated. Except for days where reservations are already made, I can change days to fit weather or openings. I dropped Lake Como since none of the villas are open. If the countryside is enough for a day, we could put it back in. Thurs Feb 23: Arrive Milan Malpensa Airport, rental car, driving the coastal route to Montecatini for first 5 nights. Fri Feb 24: Lucca Sat Feb 25: Montecatini...More

I'm exhausted just reading this. You are trying to do way too much.....way too fast. This is a "Disneyland" itinerary.......the equivalent of wanting to get into the Park and get on all of the rides in one day. I'd say to reconsider.....but I am sure that won't happen.
