The ticket price is 15GEL for each person. And day off is on Monday’s. Kind of boring for me because in 3 top floors of this building there was many halls with many paintings that many of them was kind of the same for ordinary people, not masters of arts! So you should visit here if you’re really really in love with paintings and not bored with many styles of paintings.
This museum could be less boring if there was some suitable and sedative music playing, or maybe live piano playing!
I like “museum of modern arts in Tbilisi” more than this fine arts museum.

To echo what another reviewer said, a bunch of people here are confusing this with the National Gallery on Rustaveli, which houses the larger collections of Pirosmani & Gudiashvili paintings.

The icons & other religious artworks here are even more beautiful than the ones at the National Museum main branch, but it's quite annoying that you have to pay additional $ for a guided tour in order to see them. (Seriously, painting and metalwork like that ought to be lingered over.) The temporary exhibit of avant-garde art from 1900-1920ish is excellent - it'll be there until September, I think, and has a lot of interesting Russian pieces.

Interesting. The building is modern Glas and chrome. Glass floors in secured entrance foyer.
The museum houses only Georgian Artist for the last 80 years. You will see similarities in much of the art from the younger artist.
The museum staff definitely needs to work on the flow of the exhibits. You will see the Artist Information signage (Georgian & International language) and start enjoying the art and a new Artist Information sign appears! You went the wrong way. Some sort of directional signage on floor would help.
It's 15 GEL lari, I highly recommend they consider issuing a two day pass. The work is plentiful and overwhelming. I would have made multiple trips like at other museums that have multi entry tickets.

The owners are very rich, but absolutely no taste. The majority of the collection are kitsch. It is a museum you would best avoid.
Extremely expensive for a collection of Ikea paintings.

How can Georgia allow this astonishing wonder of treasures be displayed in such an atrocious way? This museum houses the treasury of the Christian era master metal works, gold, and enamels. This work is absolutely extraordinary yet half the lights are out overhead and they force you to have a guide. We had to wait 20 minutes for a guide to be called, and then she was anxious for us to get through the collection very quickly. The entry to the museum where you buy tickets is a dump and there is almost no information, no map, and no one to answer questions. These are world class treasures treated poorly, displayed poorly and made extremely difficult to visit. It made me very sad for the wonderful country of Georgia to see their cultural patrimony in this state.

Visit the National Gallery (q.v.) on Rustaveli for the Pirosmani's, and for impressive work by other Georgian artists.

One of the many museums you must visit. At the basement was the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Show. The Cafe at the entrance was very pleasant.

You can enjoy the masterpieces of the famous Georgian Panters - Pirosmani, Gudiashvili, Kakabadze, Akhvlediani, etc in the permanent exhibition on the second floor. They always have something fresh to offer you on the ground floor at their permanent exhibitions. That's why I visit them from time to time. The museum has a central location on the city's main avenue.

This is an old and small museum, and a much larger one is currently under construction, but this one I have been to several times because they have regular exhibitions of artists' works.
